I used to have a Hasty Market a block away from where I used to live in the Beaches. It went away at least a decade or so ago. I decided to relive my teens by dropping by this store and checking it out. I said hi to the man at the counter. He was the only person working on Saturday afternoon and seemed pleasant. My original thought was to find a breakfast sandwich to consume the following day, but I didn't see anything. The sandwich section was slim pickings. I did enjoy looking at the beverages. It carries Slush Puppies, which made me smile. Blueberry, cherry, and cream soda were the flavour options. I felt like a drink. I spotted a can of Diet Orange Crush in the fridge. Perfect! This store has an extensive ramen section. It was as if someone knew that I was dropping by. Naturally, it's cheaper to get ramen at a major grocery store. However, if you are a local who just can't get to one, heading over here is not a bad idea. I paid for my drink with cash. It came up to $1.25. That's not bad. There is parking. It is limited given how small this plaza is. I'm glad that I visited. I'd like to try the cream soda Slush Puppie the next time I'm here. (78)

That being said I do not mean kind in any way shape or form being pushover but these are good people the kind that your better for knowing and that doesn't come around these days often. The food is fantastic, trust me I'm a foodie and a very particular person with my food. Ok I'm a food snob. The store has everything you could possibly need and definitely not overpriced, they have amazing selection in items. The store is always clean and well kept. They truly are an exemplary asset to this community.

Despite the products not being made by the shop, I believe they should stand by their merchandise and provide better customer service, such as offering refunds or exchanges. I am now in my 30's and while I no longer live in the area I still come back every now and then. The family owned and run store is the best, and the people are friendly . When I was 10 I tripped over a curb infront of the store and hit my head splitting it open. The owner came out and took me inside and held a towel on my head until I was taken to the hospital. Generally caring people that have been in the community for a long time. While the area has changed a lot and the people in the area are not the same this store and the owners have not changed.
