They have the best and widest selection of foods in the salad bar and hot food station. All the dishes are fresh and delicious. There are plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and pescetarian options (e.g. 3-4 different kinds of salmon, curry cauliflower, roasted vegetables, brussels sprouts, roasted potatoes, various legumes, tofu, tempeh, etc.). All the produce items are top-notch in terms of quality and freshness. They also have a great selection of items that are not as easily found in other mainstream supermarket chains, such as a wider variety of hummus and tempeh selection, an extensive bulk foods section (including nuts, grains, and beans), and other organic, vegan, and specialty items.

I like to go to Whole Foods to search for unique alternatives to my favourites…read more Visiting this particular Whole Foods is always a great experience. Especially during the first round of lockdown in March/April, you can tell their COVID-19 plans were carefully thought out. Line up outside with stanchions, must wear a mask and provided masks to those who didn't have one (before it was mandatory), clearly marked aisle directions, plexi-glass where necessary. It's safe to say I feel comfortable and safe to go here when I need to. I will say, however, my most recent visit did not have a lineup outside the store but I found it pretty busy inside! The meat and fish selection is always fresh and abundant. In particular, we enjoy picking up oysters - and they will shuck them for you if you ask! Pre-covid times saw me frequenting the hot and cold bar for quick but quality lunchtimes. Unfortunately, this area is being used for flow water and dry flax storage (as it should). But! You can grab some of the items from the hot bar in the fridge area, so it's nice to see they are making up for what I assume was a lucrative spot in the store. I also enjoy the beauty/vitamin/supplement/home area (I like a lot of things ok), as it provides a sense of calm and overall is a nice experience to browse the unique options they carry.

This place is like if Seafood City, T&T, and your average halal grocer had a baby, just a little smaller. This place is perfect for someone like me who loves to cook but doesn't want to drive halfway accross the GTA just for a specific ingredient. Walking around, I've found Vietnamese, Filipino, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Jamaican, Indian, Arab, products (and more), some of which I haven't seen at other international grocery stores-- and trust me when I say I've been to a LOT. They also offer live seafood and a hot food bar, which is basically Chinese takeout but everything smells amazing and looks super fresh. Having lived in the states this is probably one of the closest stores I've come across that actually offers a generous selection of ethnic items that aren't limited to one or two specific countries. Would highly recommend stopping by. PS-- I really wish they carried thai tea leaves mix, I know their tea selection is already huge but I can't find it anywhere and I was hoping they'd have it here lol

They also just changed their delivery window, expecting you to be available to bring in a huge box at 10pm (and then have to unpack it, as the contents cannot be left unrefrigerated/unfrozen). It is not a place I think of at the get-go when I need to do groceries, simply because it's a bit out of the way. However when it came to Mother's Day high tea planning, I stopped in here to pick up some Smoked Salmon since I was in the area. There was a line when we arrived, but it went quick and also gave us time to snoop some of the fresh herb plants before entering the store. The store is neatly laid out, and it's very evident where the different departments are located - whether that be to the great layout or the extremely visible signage, they are doing that well. What I couldn't help but notice was the huge variety of oils. I have never seen such a wide selection at a regular grocery store. Their cheese/deli/dairy section seemed to be quite extensive as well. When it came to grabbing the smoked salmon, I was impressed there was more than one kind to choose from. Each looked fresh and delicious, and priced fairly in my opinion. We went with the Atlantic Smoked Salmon. I found it a bit greasy once we got it home, but I have no complaints on the taste. If we had more time I would have loved to find some items that maybe my Baba enjoyed back home - maybe that is a future Baba/Natalie date I can plan :)
