After several issues using a credit card to buy gas, The employees and the manager on duty would not help me get a release for my credit card company of the funds being held. Basically they all gave me the runaround and the day manager talked crap about the other employees saying they don't know what they are talking about. It took me a little over three weeks to get the $40+ released from the bank and that was no thanks to Racetrac or their corporate employees. Beware of buying gas here with a credit card. CASH ONLY!!

I filled up and headed in the store for an additional purchase. The check out line was long and not moving fast enough for me, so I walked out as I didn't have the patience to wait. My father had to wait 15 minutes for the drink machine to be changed out. Once it was finally working, he took one small sip to make sure the drink wasn't flat after waiting all that time. Apparently, that was enough for the extremely rude, short older woman working there to decide he needed to be charged for the drink twice. The attitude he received over something so ridiculous was completely unnecessary. She was disrespectful and condescending and treated him as though he had done something wrong simply for checking whether the drink was even drinkable after waiting 15 minutes for the machine. What's even more frustrating is that after sharing his experience with other people, we've heard similar stories from people who have had negative interactions with this same employee. So apparently, this wasn't an isolated experience. I will be coming in to address this directly because customers should not be treated this way. Policies can be explained without being rude or disrespectful. If this is how customers are treated over taking ONE SIP of a drink they just purchased, we'll gladly take our business elsewhere. One star is generous.

Everyone I know brags about their cheesecake, as well as everything else that they offer there. The pizza, eclairs, apple crumble pie, you name it. And the people are always pleasant. It has a gas station atmosphere since it technically is a gas station. But I like it. In all honesty, I fought myself on pisting this review because I don't want to have to deal with lots of people the next time I want my cheesecake fix. They even allow you to special order for the holidays to guarantee that you'll have fresh desserts for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
