Happy customers don't seem to feel the need to rate places of business, or perhaps they are just busy living their positive lives. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this pharmacy. I have done business with several different pharmacies over the many years here in Paradise, CA. Walgreens is equally comparable to other large pharmacies and even the small ones in our town. The staff has always been helpful and I found ready to fill my prescriptions as quickly as possible. I value the fact they have an excellent drive-up and extended hours. Plus an added bonus is if you can't get in to the pharmacy before it closes in Paradise, you can go to Chico where they will have the records as well, 24 hours a day to fill your order. Don't listen to the negative ratings, give this pharmacy a try yourself.

One time, I went to pick up prescriptions for both myself and my newborn. My baby was sick, and I didn't want to get him out of the car, so we went through the drive-through. Everyone knows the Paradise Walgreens drive-through takes forever, but when I got to the window, I specifically told them I had two prescriptions with two different dates of birth: one for me and one for my son. She only gave me my prescription, so I sat at the window waiting for the second one. I waited and waited, but she never came back. I eventually had to get out of the car because my baby was screaming in his car seat and pull him out while we were still in line. I had assumed she would be back within a few minutes. By the time she finally came back to help me, my son was already hysterical, and so was I. Fast-forward to today. My son is sick again, so I stopped by the pharmacy drive- through at 4:30 to pick up his medication. They told me it would be another 30 minutes. My baby was asleep in the car, so I decided to drive around town while we waited. I went back at 5:00 and waited in line all over again, only to be told that just one of the two prescriptions was ready and that the other would take another 20 minutes. By this point, my baby was awake and unhappy, so I decided to go home and have his father pick up the medications at 7:00. My husband went to pick them up, and sure enough, they STILL weren't ready. They told him it would be another 15 minutes. At this point, I was so frustrated that I decided to call the pharmacy myself. My baby was getting ready for bed, and I needed to give him his albuterol treatment. Finally, when I called, they told me the prescription was ready and that they had just needed to change a few things, so it would only be a few more minutes. It is incredibly frustrating having to deal with this pharmacy, especially when you have a sick baby and are just trying to get his medication so you can take care of him. I understand that pharmacies get busy, but the lack of communication and repeated delays are unacceptable. Parents already have enough to worry about without having to spend hours trying to get their child's prescriptions filled.

The floors needed a little attention, but overall the place was clean and if I'd actually been hungry I would have bought something. As it was I was just bored on such a long drive and wanted something to much. Nothing leapt out at me and I was on my way again. The gas prices are very reasonable here. They seem like some of the cheapest in town so when I drive this way I like to stop here to fill up.
