Come fuel up with ease here. Regardless of whether traveling on a road trip or vacationing. Murphy's is my go to gas station as their the cheapest in the area compared to a Exxon or Shell. I love the ample number of pumps available easing crowing & extensive wait times for one becoming available to fill up. There's 2 big drink coolers outside with a nice variety of sodas, waters, etc. There's lots of tobacco and even beer, some candies but not a lot of other stuff. Bottom line: The gas and tobacco products are always the cheapest for many miles around. If you need fuel ($1.85 regular unleaded 6/23/20) then this is your best bet!

The most popular option found here is their mouth-watering fried chicken, additional food offerings include gizzards livers potato wedges & fried okra. An added dining area is available so customers may enjoy their meals. Apart from fried chicken and a dining area. Appealing to customer practicality & convenience. There's a decent soda beer & snack variety along with basic automotive necessities including automotive lubricants & accessories. Gas prices remain competitive being reasonably cheaper compared to higher-priced competitors. Making this location is a budget-friendly option & customers may enjoy other items offered here & this makes this corner gas station a go-to destination for travelers to Orange Beach or going into Gulf Shores. I love the conveniences of filling up my tank (along with my belly) & quenching my thirst here enjoying aromas of tasty hot foods including their crispy juicy hot chicken that's a delightful crunch within every bite. I'd swear their fried chicken here beats out KFC & other known competitors. Making this hot dish commendable along with their hot steamy fluffy potato wedges. Judging from their taste & quality my assumption is their cook staff takes pride in their dishes. My dad can never get enough Chicken Livers here & this coming from someone who normally doesn't like Chicken Livers. Wanna know where to experience best within any foods ask someone who raves about a particular location's dish. I'm the same way with Hot Dog's. Read my Nick's Hot Dog review from Dec 6, 2018. Their dining space is reasonably sized & accommodating towards customers wishing to enjoy their meals there. Their dining areas are clean and well-maintained providing a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Making this an appealing option vs my car & letting me relax & dine in comfort. Apart from their food and dining area, there's also decent beer soda & other drink varieties. My Go-To is their soda fountain. Simplistic quick & enough fluid oz's. for quenching my thirst. Whenever filling up here their hot food station is a must-have whether I'm wishing to dine there or take home with me. My personal ranking went from 8-10 when they fixed my wrong order & gave me livers while also tossing in an extra thigh which made my day. Next time you stop here, don't just fill up your tank, but also treat yourself to some delicious fried chicken or hot food variety and a refreshing drink. If you find yourself cruising Perdido Beach Blvd and get a hint from that little annoying light on…read morethe dash followed by a faint "ding" you might want to pull into this tiny station to fuel up, hopefully you know which side of the car the fueling door is on especially if you're in a rental because you may only get one shot at getting to the pumps here. On the day I visited the patrons were about as creative as the Kama Sutra maneuvering to position their fuel access doors as close as possible to the nearest nozzle at the expense of anyone in their way. Fortunately I was in the Fiat and was able to fit in a space few would consider an option making getting in and out relatively painless. This station seems to be a popular venue for the locals who have no issue leaving their vehicles unattended in front of the pumps while going inside to wait in the exhausting line at the counter or the even longer line designated for the restrooms (that's definitely the line to avoid at all cost). I don't know how many fueling options there are on this stretch of the boulevard but something seems to draw the masses to this place, maybe it's the competitive gas prices or the price of a bag of ice. Hint - Just in case you don't know which side of the rental car the gas door is on you can always look at the fuel gauge on the dash, the little arrow next to the fuel level indicator is pointing towards the side of the vehicle the fuel door is on, yes quite the engineering feat...

I have had many regrets from eating gas station food in my sorted foodie past but there has been those rare few that have had some surprisingly tasty offerings, and this is one of them. Formerly French's Barge-N-Chevron, it's now  Woodson's Barge-N-Chevron has some of that surprising good food thanks to Melissa Woodson, who owns this little eatery tucked into a Chevron on a busy corner in Gulf Shores since 2004. She was quoted "I bought a farm this summer, and we've been doing dishes with veggies I grow." Everything that I've tried here has been fresh and very tasty and I'm a fan!  The #1 thing that everyone talks about is the fried chicken, and there's for good reason, it is FAR better than the KFC, Popeyes, etc. chain store chicken, it's really, really good. In addition they have some of the best tasting chicken livers I've tasted anywhere, so chicken is tops for me.   Popular items include green beans, potato salad, hushpuppies, squash casserole (made with just-picked crooknecks), big fried potatoes, fried shrimp, banana nut bread and more.  One note for some of the patrons from years past, they continue to make the same favorite chicken salad, which is a dish original to the spot. Most folks grab ' go, even ordering ahead, but there's 4 big tables and chairs to seat 12 inside so dining in is an option, but it's still a gas station.  As for the convenience store itself, their gas prices are WAY too high which is one of the reasons it took me so long to discover them, but the convenience is well stocked with snacks, coffee, beer and even automotive stuff.  Bottom line: The ladies here are very hospitable and always greet you with a smile, the food is fresh and reasonably priced. Recommended!!

The property is pretty tight being this Tom Thumb is located in the middle of a strip mall with businesses extending out from both side without a well planned traffic pattern. In the time it took me to pump my gas I had two close calls with vehicles trying to squeeze by to transverse the parking lot at speeds that were unsafe in my opinion. The prices here were competitive with the other stations in the area although after this experience I'd be okay paying a few cents more per gallon. I had no interaction with the staff being I paid at the pump so my review is essentially based on the lack of useable space outside and a complete lack of traffic signage it's pretty much a free for all...
