It was a beautiful Saturday and only 2 other people came in the whole time. The woman pouring our wine was very sweet and friendly. Surprisingly though, she had no knowledge of the wines and said she has never tasted them because she doesn't drink. We asked a couple questions about how long they've been a winery and she couldn't answer any. She even thought the animals that had passed away recently were llamas. I explained to her they were alpacas. I really think if you're going to hire someone you should make sure they are at least somewhat knowledgeable about the business especially since your customers are paying quite a bit. But like I said the wines and the views are wonderful and I absolutely love the dog theme. So that's why I gave 5 stars.

It was a beautiful day for riding. Perfect in fact to run the scenic loop from Mesa up the 60 to…read moreGlobe where you take a right on 77 and cruise down nice sweeping roads into Winkleman. From there it's a right on the 177, passing Kearny and heading into Superior where you take a left and go back down the 60 and into Mesa again. The scenery is amazing running through the back country and past the mines. Solid blacktop the whole way with only a single stoplight. In fact the only thing which can screw up such a ride is running out of gas. Getting assistance out there is not going to be an easy task so I suggest riding with water and a deck of cards for a little solitaire while you wait or a buddy to show up. Fortunately there is a Circle K in Winkelman where you can stop for fuel. Unless of course they just happened to have taped off their pumps fifteen minutes before you get there. Cue the nervousness. Nothing screws up a ride more than gas range fears. I have ridden this road many times and know that as you head back into Superior there isn't a gas station to be found. I was pretty sure that I had enough to get back to the big S though. Well mostly sure. Okay, not really sure at all to be truthful. Heading past Kearny there isn't any gas related signage visible from the road as you go by, and I've never really swung through this small town before. I decided to just in case I could get lucky and thank my lucky stars I found a super small Marathon gas station attached to the front of a little grocery store. It was only eight pumps, but they probably saved my bacon. The prices were reasonable where I was expecting to get gouged as if you're a last chance fuel stop out in the middle of nowhere you can pretty much charge whatever you want. So if you're out in this neck of the woods and need fuel, don't skip Kearney as you can get it here!
