Relish Big Tasty Burgers - Archer Road - How good the food is!

This place is great. Tasty burgers, delicious fries, awesome service. The best part of the visit…read morewas Ruth who took care of us. She was super and made us feel like we were welcome - a rarity in this day and age. The only thing that could have made the visit better is if they used tallow for their fryer. Thanks! We'll be back!

First off, let me just say that I was absolutely DRAWN here by the smell of the burgers cooking…read morewhile I was vacuuming out my car at the carwash practically next door! It's kind of deceptive at the street, you'll see their name on the sign out front, but there's nothing telling you to drive BETWEEN Chipotle and the weed dispensary towards the back and beat to your right. RELISH is at the end, but there's TONS of parking and I appreciate that. Went inside and since I'd never been there before, I thought one of the women that were there would at least help me out, but the one young girl must've been on her way out the door because she was asking me if I was ordering chicken...I was confused. I said no, but then she asked me if I was picking up an order and I answered no to this as well...and then said I hadn't even ordered yet. Took me repeating this twice for her to understand me. I get it. It's small, lots of sizzling sounds and fryer sounds and then there's music playing ( I'm assuming) as well...all this makes it a little hard to hear. Finally placed my order. I got a double patty cheeseburger. Onion rings. And so the short wait began...one of the fellas at the grill asked me what I wanted on my burger...you choose exactly what sauces or lack thereof you want! Done right in front of you so you can ask for more or less...garlic aoli? Wow! Who knew? I'm missing BurgerFi less right about now! If you want grilled mushrooms or grilled onions or if you want them raw or bell peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, different cheeses, jalapeños, (bacon is extra though as is a fried egg), banana peppers, just like a subway! I'm a mayo and A1 lover with lots of pickles and one tomato...but decided to try it with the GRILLED onions. I'm getting that again! Absolutely fantastic and done EXACTLY the way I wanted it. I have to say that their pickles are superb because of the crunch factor. So many places will give you pickles and they're little scrawny floppy excuses for a pickle. Also, you go somewhere else and you get a double because their patties are so thin...NOT HERE! You get what you pay for. Tomato slices? Not paper thin like the other places...not barely there. Nice thick juicy slices! I have to mention their buns. I would be remiss if I passed by this topic and didn't touch on it. I don't know where they buy them from or if they make them, but they are absolutely superb. Soft and tender to the bite, but hold up so well and don't fall apart. I like that. Like a cornmeal dusting on top too. Old fashioned but so so good. Just not enough bun to burger ratio. Way too much burger -- and I never thought I'd ever say that! The fellas were so nice, cooked my food to perfection and I can't say I have not the slightest complaint about anything regarding this restaurant. Decent amount of food for the money compared to other places and the quality is definitely there. Worth every penny in my opinion. This place has just now moved into my favorite spot that was left vacated when they took away my BurgerFi. And if you haven't tried them...YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

I've been coming here for the better part of a decade now. I can't believe how time flies. In that…read more9-10 years Culver's is still one of my favorite fast food joints. The fish and chips are still amazing; just make sure you cool them on a napkin to reduce some of the fry oil and so you burn the roof of your mouth. This fish is freshly made to order. I love the pork lion sandwich. Straight out of Indiana. It can be a bit dry so mayo, pickle and lettuce set it up nicely. I didn't get a burger this time but they're still great. As I watch all other burger chains go through shrinkflation, Culver's has maintained their quality.

We went inside for a take out order since the drive thru line was long, they have a lot of parking,…read moreand it was raining so I ended up needing to use the restroom while we were in the drive thru lane. There were only 2 people ordering at the counter so I used the ladies' room real quick while my husband reviewed their menu. The water at the main sink was not running at all so I could not use it to wash my hands. Luckily, I carry a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol with me so I just used that. I hope the female employees have a different restroom because they wouldn't be able to wash their hands either The lady that took the order was a little distant / disinterested / zoning out, polite but not very friendly like she's rather be somewhere else. We got our fountain drink first and waited for our order to be prepared: Culver Deluxe double meal with a side order of large onion rings. Total was about $19. It took about 10 minutes and the To Go busboy gave us our food, he was pleasant, polite, even smiled and thanked us for visiting. We left and had our food on the drive home - the Culver Deluxe was made well. It tasted fresh and the veggies were crisp. The large order of onion rings were crunchy just like we wanted them. And the crinkle fries were a great addition to complete our fast food craving. If I didn't visit the restroom, my rating would be higher. Also, staff allowed a non service animal (looked like a poodle mix) on a leash walk around the ordering counter area. I like pets but not near my restaurant orders. Maybe there should be a sign on the door to prevent that. Anyway, I hope the women's restroom faucet issue is resolved soon since that is major health and safety issue. Not sure if we'll be back again, but I did submit my main concerns to the Culver survey so maybe they'll contact me about it.

Huey Magoo's Chicken Tenders - Gainesville - 5-piece meal

Okay, this is a hard one. Let's get this out of the way first...Magoo's was good. I'm a Cane's fan…read morebut wanted to give this a try. Honestly both do things well. I like Cane's fingers and comeback sauce better, but HM has a ton of sauce choices not just one like Cane's. In this respect, it's like Saucys, but better. They also have salads like Zaxbys, but better. And nuggets, let's not forget the nuggets. Their Texas toast probably the best in town. Blows Cane's out of the water. For fries I give the edge to Cane's. So if you only one strips and comeback sauce, Cane's wins. If you want variety, like salads and nuggets and a variety of sauces, Huey Magoo's wins. Zaxby's which used to be one of our favorites has gone downhill and is really only an option if you want wings, which the other restaurants do not have. Saucy's, unfortunately, which replaced PDQ, comes in last. So overall, I like this place. It's a bit hard to find, but if you're an old timer it's in the last location where Burritos Brothers used to be, just off Univ Ave. If you're looking for some good chicken strips, I'd give this place a try.

We love Huey Magoo's so much! The chicken tenders are always so fresh and crispy…read more I typically prefer bone-in chicken except when it comes to the tenders here. The fact that they use dark meat (chicken thighs) to make the tenders gives them a unique taste that I prefer to any other chicken place that I've tried. I love the selection of sauces here as well BUT you do have to pay for additional sauces so there's that. Their fries are perfectly seasoned and the toast isn't too salty. I like the wrap as well. I honestly have nothing bad to say about the food or service (the employees are always nice). My biggest pain point is parking. It's by the university so of course parking is terrible and hard to find. It's the only thing that keeps us from eating here at least once a week.
