When I'm in Maine, I prefer to go to the small mom and pop shops on the side of route 1, but due to places like this, they are much fewer. The small ones were the ones that always donated to our school fundraisers and have a lot more character. Anyway, this place is clean, with a bathroom with an exterior entrance. It wasn't super well stocked at the time, about 10am on a Monday, probably a bit early. It's most convenient to come in to this when you are coming south on route 1. There's another chain gas station that would be convent when going north probably a couple miles north, in Rockport.

One thing that really stood out to me is their selection of lactose-free grocery items--a rare find in most convenience stores!
