This is my go to Speedway near work. My coworkers have indoctrinated me into the world of Speedway…read more I am an iced tea fanatic and all summer I was spoiled by Timmie Ho's any sized iced tea for a dollar. They have now jacked it up to 1.59 for a large. It adds up when you buy one six days a week. Here it is a mere 1.79 for a 52 oz. iced tea. No you are not reading that wrong. That is a ten hour day fricking iced tea. Bargain! Best of all? I can add as much ice as I choose, no more begging for naught. My seventh tea? Gratis! Yeah, on the freaking house. Happiness. This tea is pretty dang tasty too. The staff here is consistently friendly and I have been here at all hours due to a rotating schedule. If you are going to become a regular then get a speedway card and you will get the freebie deals on more than just iced tea. Pop, snacks, tornadoes, hot dogs, egg rolls, you name it and the seventh is free. Yay! I do drive to either the Exxon or the Eagle station on Michigan Avenue for cheaper gas, Sinead is right. If you are looking for a bargain convenience store stop that is kept stocked and clean though, well this is the place.

They don't charge the extra 10 cents if you choose to use your credit card instead of cash, 2. Even though it's on Outer Drive and it's on a corner, it's kind of at an awkward spot, in that it's not always the safest to turn into, making it not very busy in general. Between the uphill curve, hidden residential streets, and hidden cops, I've seen a lot of near-miss accidents. So, I guess you'll just have to learn the area and its dangers. Since I've in Dearborn now for 5 years, luckily, I've figured it out. Lastly, #3, this gas station consistently offers gas at an average 10-15 cents cheaper than other gas stations around. By consistently, I mean about 95% of the time. If you can save even just $5 ninety-five times out of 100 when you fill your tank, that adds up.

It is nicely stocked for the size of the place. All the vital items like 2 for 2.50 pop, 2 for 3 buck giant Diet Snapple peach, cheap energy drinks and snacks galore. A great stop before work for sure. The gas here is usually one of the cheapest around, if not the cheapest. Just a tip, they will give you the cash price if you use your debit card inside. Handy for me as I hate charging gas yet also hate carrying too much cash, I live on my freaking debit.

For the month of January, I pledged to "shop local", so it wasn't as easy to just stop at Target or O'Reilly's. I figured I could find an overpriced scraper here, even though I knew it'd hurt to pay 15 bucks for a $6 scraper. I stopped into this independent gas station and much to my amusement, I found an entire rack of scrapers, all (somehow) affordably priced. The smallest ones were only $2, medium ones were $4 and full-size ones were only $7. My wallet was happy! In addition to the mighty ice scrapers, this gas station also has a badass selection of drinks, snacks and household items. I was seriously amazed at how organized and clean their displays were. Tl;dr: This service station has a great selection of auto stuff, drinks and snacks.

And if I am, this is the place I come to if I need/want to pick a few things up. First of all, the staff is amazing. It's a family-oriented business and they're all very nice. Also, they'll remember you, and what you like - you become a regular here, not a customer. If you want something they don't have, tell them and they'll stock it. It's great. Also, they do free money orders, which is an excellent feature that I've taken advantage of many times to pay rent. Onto the other stuff. They have your expected supply of snacks, munchies, and last minute household needs up and down their aisles. They also sell some more unique things, such as some of the best baklava I've had. The beer selection is mostly the same crappy lagers you find in any American convenience store, but they DO have a small craft beer section. However, where they lack with craft beer, they make up for in the incredible wine and liquor selection, and at minimum prices. It's impressive. I've hit it up many times. Also, they do a lot of promotions here - it's not unusual to come in and find a vendor sampling out shots of some new liquor (flavoured rums, tequila, you name it) or a firework sale in the parking lot if the season is right. It's just a welcoming, organic place that seeks to meet the needs of its clientele and does it brilliantly.
