This has been the busiest Marathon gas station/car wash. I've never seen this place is dead. It's Sunday at 5:25 PM. There's a huge line for the wash. Most of the vacuum stations are also being occupied. There are 12 pumps. Luckily the Jax Kar wash here moves fairly quickly. Gas should be $2.35 if you get a car wash. I get why this place is always so busy. Their car washes are decent, for the price. It's apparent with the length of the lines for the wash, that the exterior only wash is the most popular. There are a few to no unlimited members here. The number nine pump was not printing out the receipt, annoying. My husband had to go inside to get a receipt. It was around $38 to fill up the tank. Not cheap. Gas was $2.45/gallon. They have now changed their policy on the gas price. You can only get the $.10 discount if you are an unlimited car wash member, that's asinine. The exterior car wash is $8 here, for some water and soap, as the attendant had flatly told me I was getting. That's the last time I come to this ridiculous place, that screws over the non-unlimited members. I feel like I got raked over the coals by this marathon. The guy that guided me in gave me a little pathetic squirt of water i The car looks somewhat whiter and a bit clean. Let's see when I get out of the car. They did a pretty sad job of drying my car. I would only get the car wash here, because it jacks and they do usually do a decent job and have decent machines. I take it back, their machines are deplorable as is the gas station and I still have a lot of dirty spots all over the car afterwards. This place is surely to dissatisfy you and leave you thoroughly disappointed. I feel annoyed after this gas station trip.

    It's not a sprint

I heard it was a Sprint, not a Marathon, but this gas station proves otherwise. I appreciated this gas station because they have slightly cheaper gas than everyone else in the area as long as you use cash. If you use credit then not so much. It was a homeless guy that really got me - pushing his cart full of stuff across this gas station parking lot and he was rummaging through the trash cans and he was so old and tired and it broke my heart... So I got $10 Gas instead of $20 and I gave him the $10. He wasn't asking anybody for any money it was just struggling by himself. Really broke my heart. He told me, God Bless You, and was very surprised. That just broke my heart more. The richest country in the world does not need to have this guy wheeling his stuff around in a cart. Every one of us, from me, to you, and the other 300 million, should be f***ing ashamed of ourselves. And this is a great place to get gas.

This gas station has been a favorite but beware of the counterfeit goods they sell! My poor kids were taken for $20 on a fake toy!

I don't usually bother reviewing gas stations. Petroleum is driving us headlong into a climate…read moreapocalypse but it's damn near impossible to live in the United States in 2022 without being dependent on it. So why five stars for this Mobil? Well, the location is convenient and they have a cool little Leaning Tower of Pisa painted on this stubby little pillar getting its lean on. I feel like it's the last remnant of an old canopy that got demolished? I don't know. But the real reason this basically basic Mobil gets the five star red carpet is free air! It seemed too good to be true so I actually went back inside to ask if it wasn't out of order while I was waiting for my tank to fill up with planet poison. Lo and behold, it's free and it works! It's sad that's all it takes for me to shower stars on a gas station the way Chef Salt Bae showers salt on a plate of food in a probably already sadly dated meme but there you have it. The Valero near my parents condo is a whopping two dollars for the air machine. And, as another reviewer has noted, this here Mobil has a nice industrial strength air machine, too. So that's the skinny here. It's been awhile since I've written a review here and the thing that brought me back was... free air.

I was headed out and realized I was having car trouble. I sputtered in this gas station and my car broke down. I thought maybe it was Gas so I paid for a few gallons but that wasn't the issue. Two gentlemen helped me park in a parking spot and suggested it may be the fuel pump. I immediately used my AAA service to request a tow truck. I entered the gas station and explained my situation and asked if it was ok to leave my car while I wait. I spoke with the owner who said yes and told me to leave my number. I was on my way to pick up my daughter from daycare so I got a ride and went to pick her up. The store attendant, SHAAD, proceeds to call me every 15 minutes threating to have my car towed or call the police on me if I do not remove my vehicle. I returned and explained that AAA was on their way and there was nothing I could do at the moment. I reminded him I am a member of the community and I live right down the street and he repeated "I don't give a fuck if your my neighbor" and proceeds to call the police on me. The cops show up and I explain the situation and they agree, if the tow truck is on the way, why is it a big deal. I was asked to leave the store, which I did and wait outside. I will say, the store owner called me back to apologize for SHAAD's behavior. I believe in community building and this attendant clearly only cares about the patrons of his store when there is something in it for him, otherwise, in his words "he doesn't give a fuck" Sometimes people just need a bit of help and a kind person and SHAAD was none of that. I will never return to this gas station and I encourage Ferndale Community Members to spend their money somewhere who is invested in the community.

I was literally about three blocks down from this gas station when my car ran out of gas. i walked to this b.p with a hope and a prayer, that maybe the clerk would feel some sort of empathy for me, and help me out by allowing me to borrow the $13 gas can available for purchase, for about 30 min. that would allow me to use my 10 bucks that I had to purchase the gas, walk back, refuel my car, drive 2 miles home to get the money and pay him for the gas can. he said no....not one of those empathetic no's that people us backed with positive reinforcement either, like "oh wow, I would if I could but store policy says I cant. sorry". or one of those no's backed up with some alternative suggestions that perhaps I should buy a cheaper container, such a milk jug to put the gas in, or use a loaner can that the store has, etc etc. this was a cold flat careless no. the kind when someone clearly isn't going to help you, and isn't going to care. as a man, it takes an absolute lot for me to ask anyone else for help, but as circumstances would have it, and the dire situation that I was in, I put pride to the side and asked the clerk for help by letting me borrow the can. thankfully a customer there did help me out by buying the can for me, which I am truly grateful. as for the clerk and this gas station. people doesn't always remember the people that helped them out, but they most certainly remember the ones that didn't.
