They also have a decent collection of instant noodles and frozen food as well. Obviously, it's not stocked like your massive Asian superstore like H Mart, but it has all the essentials you need when you need a few things here and there and you're not looking to do a huge grocery haul. I've also picked up some of the prepared foods inside dishes here. The kimbap is all right, not huge portions, but is a good snack size. The tteokbokki is just OK in my opinion. I found the side dishes in the marinated meats to be really good though, if you're planning to do a KBBQ at home situation. Things that caught my eye was the extensive selection of Middle Eastern spices, Asian snacks and drinks, and liquor. I didn't walk down the liquor aisle so I have no idea if it was Asian liquor. This dude is as hospitable as can be. He let me know about all of the upcoming releases they are getting and so much more. He told me about this " new era" store pick that he had. I was a little skeptical because it was a $100 bottle, but Gippy reassured me that if I didnt like it he would refund me my money. Well after having a sip. He was right. Its phenomenal. I was also able to pick up a brand new and highly sought after Elijah Craig that not many stores in California have received yet. Now the top shelf is even taller and I can't reach it at all. I stand there looking for an employee to help to no avail. Eventually my husband catches up to me and can get his juice, but sometimes I have to shop alone. This store still does not have a great selection of items. I sometimes have to go across town to the other Safeway to get things or shop at another company's store. Some items are always on special, they never seem to be offered at full price if you have a Safeway For U card. Isn't that misleading?

I had to sign up for a "loop card" which there are not many around my home area (boo) but that was the only way for me to get the cheaper prices. I didn't see on the sign if it said "must have loop card" or whatever, but if there was, I would like to be slapped in the face with it so I don't get blind sided with the prices. I only caught it when I asked the cashier if I got the cheaper prices, I could have fueled up with full gas prices and also pay for a car wash. Now when you do sign up you get enough points to have a 3$ car wash. So that was a plus, cheap wash and cheaper gas, count me in. The assistant manager was really helpful (Asian male with glasses). He's probably a college student, but he was able to guide me through their sign up process (it's on a tablet thing), and told me I already get points for signing up. He totally knew what a drag it was to NEED to sign up for a member ship for better prices, but rules are rules you know? Advice: give that guy a pay raise, cause if he didn't tell me that I had points already, I would be super upset going through the sign up process. Also put a sigh by the membership terminal with something like " to get cheaper prices with car wash, loop card is needed, sign up for free here" would be good.

He waited patiently for my transaction to complete. He then asked me, was there anything else that I needed? I replied no, but I truly appreciate you so much for helping me. Little things like that make a huge difference and the fact that he went above and beyond and was so patient with me along with providing great customer service Meant the world to me. I've been to that gas station many times on my commute out to the Bay Area over the years and I've never went inside except for that day, but I'm glad that I did.
