Trust me, I've tried, and EVERY time I'm in a convenience store I'm always on the prowl for a Suzy, but rarely find one. Tonight we popped in for a couple of hot chocolates and, lo and behold, what did I see?? Oh, baby! I'm no fool, so I bought the whole box (too bad there were only three in there) to tide me over and enjoy over the next couple of weeks 'cause I know it'll be a long, dry season before I find them again. Speaking of hot chocolate, we'd given up on the hot cocoa at In 'n Out (which used to be great, but for the last eight times in a row(!!) tasted like barely-flavored hot water, yuck). The kids turned us onto the hot chocolate here at Am/Pm, which has a nice variety to choose from or to mix-and-match: basic hot chocolate with Hershey's syrup; hot chocolate with English toffee; and Mexican hot chocolate. (I like an 80/20 ratio of the basic and Mexican, and my hubby likes his just the reverse of that.) A nice option when you want a little something late at night but don't necessarily want to (or know you shouldn't) eat. But... of course tonight I'll just have to make an exception, 'cause I hear little Suzy calling my name now. Oh, yeah.... PS: Plus, the clerk (on 3/5/19, 9:30 pm) was super-nice and didn't bat an eyelash when this elegant, well-dressed couple bought a couple of hot chocolates and an entire box of cupcakes, like two 10-year-olds. I'm sure he's seen it all.

Everything looks fine but no gas and the register on the pump never resets. I'm using a debit card and accepted the fee. I look at everything then I realize that one of the safety tapes on the touch pad is missing. Looks like it's been tampered with. I go inside to to inform the attendant but no one is there. I search and hear a voice from the back. "Can o help you?" I tell him that one of his pumps isn't working l. He tries to cut me off and states "they all work, they all work". Then he ask which pump and I left him #4. He cuts me off again while typing on his register and waves for me to leave and says "try it again, try it again!" I say whatever and leave. I can hear him yelling "they all work, they all work!" And I yell back "except for #4!" I leave and go across the street to get gas. I also cancelled and ordered a new debit card. DONT TAKE ANY CHANCES HERE!!! Don't go to ARCO!!!!

He checked it and said yes there was $10 on it. The proceeds to run the card and it declines. He checked it again and said there wasn't anything on the card, that he must have looked at it wrong. Scott pulled a page right out of the ultimate Karen playbook and called the cops on me for taking too long......in the car wash line......while there were cars in both sides of the car wash. Can't make this stuff up. There are buckets available to wash windows and wheels while waiting for a free bay, which is exactly what I was doing when he approached me. I ignored him at first. I did my best to keep ignoring him, as I thought I was being punked. When I told him to leave me alone, he told me I was rude and that I need to leave and told me he would refund my money, after I had already prepped my truck for the car wash. Then he said he was calling the cops. This all occurred in the 3-5 minutes I was waiting for an open car wash bay. I told him I'd be happy to wait for them to explain why their time was being wasted, which I did. I was literally there a whole 3 minutes before he came out flexing his power and said I was rude, took pictures of me, my vehicle and my license plates, told police I was on something and that I was irate. AT THE CAR WASH!Apparently he couldn't comprehend why I was upset that I was being told to hurry up and being called rude while there were literally cars in the car wash bays I was waiting for. The little nerd came out to the car wash to flex his power, and when he crossed the line into harassing me, he got a taste of his own medicine and tucked tail into his office. Scott's father in law, the actual owner, all but said this is a common occurrence. I was shocked If you stop here, make sure you thank Scott for saving the world, one car wash at a time! His ego will appreciate it. He clearly needs excitement in his life, and based on the comments, it seems like a few other locals had no problem giving it to him as requested.

Will and Liz are always nice and helpful if needed. I do wish they would get different truly hard seltzers but it is what it is. I can just go to the other location for those. I have not had any issues at this location and the place always seems clean for the amount of traffic they see each day. Always seems busy.
