Why a five-star rating for this Arco Am/Pm? Because they carry Suzy-Q's!! Bam! Listen, do you have any IDEA how hard it is to find Suzy-Q's nowadays?? Trust me, I've tried, and EVERY time I'm in a convenience store I'm always on the prowl for a Suzy, but rarely find one. Tonight we popped in for a couple of hot chocolates and, lo and behold, what did I see?? Oh, baby! I'm no fool, so I bought the whole box (too bad there were only three in there) to tide me over and enjoy over the next couple of weeks 'cause I know it'll be a long, dry season before I find them again. Speaking of hot chocolate, we'd given up on the hot cocoa at In 'n Out (which used to be great, but for the last eight times in a row(!!) tasted like barely-flavored hot water, yuck). The kids turned us onto the hot chocolate here at Am/Pm, which has a nice variety to choose from or to mix-and-match: basic hot chocolate with Hershey's syrup; hot chocolate with English toffee; and Mexican hot chocolate. (I like an 80/20 ratio of the basic and Mexican, and my hubby likes his just the reverse of that.) A nice option when you want a little something late at night but don't necessarily want to (or know you shouldn't) eat. But... of course tonight I'll just have to make an exception, 'cause I hear little Suzy calling my name now. Oh, yeah.... PS: Plus, the clerk (on 3/5/19, 9:30 pm) was super-nice and didn't bat an eyelash when this elegant, well-dressed couple bought a couple of hot chocolates and an entire box of cupcakes, like two 10-year-olds. Arco - Mine... - Gas Stations Near Me - Atascadero, California

I don't recommend this place. Go across the street or else where. I pull up to the pump, looks fine so I insert my card select my grade and attempt to pump. Everything looks fine but no gas and the register on the pump never resets. I'm using a debit card and accepted the fee. I look at everything then I realize that one of the safety tapes on the touch pad is missing. Looks like it's been tampered with. I go inside to to inform the attendant but no one is there. I search and hear a voice from the back. "Can o help you?" I tell him that one of his pumps isn't working l. He tries to cut me off and states "they all work, they all work". Then he ask which pump and I left him #4. He cuts me off again while typing on his register and waves for me to leave and says "try it again, try it again!" I say whatever and leave. I can hear him yelling "they all work, they all work!" And I yell back "except for #4!" I leave and go across the street to get gas. I also cancelled and ordered a new debit card. My car overheated today and I got off 101 and pulled in here. I couldn't loosen the cap on the water reservoir. A gentleman who worked there not only helped open it but got a funnel and took care if it for me. He did not have to do this. I wasn't a gas or store customer, don't live in that town. Arco - bathroom - Gas Stations Near Me - Atascadero, California

We had to stop someplace that had gas late in the evening, so we decided to stop here, as Arco usually has the cheapest cost gas. We were right, we found most of the gas station in the area were about 5 to 20 cents higher per gallon in cost. We were very happy to find that this station has gas at $4.19 per gallon, yes we know we said over $4.00 is cheap, but in this economy anything around that cost we have to accept. We look forward to the day when we might see $3.50 a gallon again. The AM/PM attached with this Arco was very clean and you could find everything possible, including the restrooms. read more

DO NOT GO INTO THIS STORE ALONE!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN!!!! Me and my friends walked into the store the two male employees behind the counter started making remarks and harassed us the entire time we were inside the store. While checking out they commented about how uncomfortable we were towards them and as the cashier was bagging our items he said "I won't bite" then proceeded to lean towards us and messed with our items to make a show. Rip off! Drive on to the next station. You will be tagged for $0.45 at the pump and if you go in to buy a coffee expect to be tagged again for $0.45 to use your debt card. I wouldn't have an issue with this if people were allowed to pay with a credit card. But, no, credit cards are not accepted here. The price for gas may look cheap, but keep driving another 5 minutes and you find comparable prices. Do yourself a favor and not feed the pig. read more

They just opened up after 3 months. 3 opening occurred after a fire that happened several months ago. The cheeseburgers just as delicious as ever. Which is saying a lot because I have a thing for AM PM cheeseburgers. Yeah I know sometimes I'm a screwball for cheeseburgers there just a little bit on the weird side. read more

Very nice employees. I like that there is a sink at the coffee station for rinsing out re-fillable coffee cups. But the gas always causes idle problems for me. Also, the pumps have not been inspected since 2012. This is worrisome since they recently had a fire and the entire store was updated and remodeled. read more

Decent selection of drinks and treats. Convenient location off of the freeway, but the cash only unless you want to pay annoying service fee with debit card is not too cool. What about if I have a credit card with gas rewards? Can't use it here, and that's just not cool beans in my book. read more
