The gas service area is quite massive and very clean. I have yet to see it crowded, but there are green/red lights to signify the status of the pumps. Lots of room to navigate, even large vehicles to get to a pump. It's one way in and one way out. Hard to talk price, their gas price is on average a few cents cheaper than what I can find in Paso Robles. Doesn't really make it worth my while to drive 30 miles to save a few cents, so I couple this stop with my Monday shopping. If you are a member of Costco, I would recommend the pumps in SLO. It's freeway accessible and affordable when you start looking at other gas stations off LOVR.

When at the register, the cashier barely acknowledges me, no eye contact, no How are you?, no thank you for coming, and no have a good day. I don't think it's a race thing because I've seen them staring out the window at other customers. They make it obvious they're watching you every second. BATHROOM: I wanted to use the bathroom and the guy said it's not working, but there was no sign on the door saying out of order and before I walked into the store I saw a lady walk out and go to the back room so clearly she was an employee. That's messed up! I was a paying customer and he didn't want me using the bathroom. It's one thing if it's Covid related then businesses put up a sign saying the bathroom is closed due to Covid regulations, but that wasn't the case. STATION: I know it's a gas station but I think there's a gas leak because the smell is very strong. It's too strong of a gas smell to be considered normal or safe. I am personally awful at carwashes unless I was the car myself (garden hose technique). So, on a recent afternoon, we took a tour through the small carwash at the Madonna Road Shell Station. I was waiting for him to pay, admiring the trees planted around the car wash, and how clean the station was, and watching people pump gas. I found myself actually looking forward to the car wash. Sure enough, after giving our code, we proceeded through a modest but effective wash. I liked that there were no rails to ride on, no attendant, and the car sat still in the wash instead of the hurkey jerky automated version. There was plenty of water, and soap, and spinners, and more water and wax, and more water, then a good blow dry on the way out! And all for a budget friendly $10.00!

He told me to then just grab a door when the person comes out before it closes, very rude. Prices of gas for Conservative fuel is higher in SLO then in 5 cities area or in Sant Barbara county and you pay extra for rudeness.
