I had 3 windows that had "fogged over" and I called a window company to replace them. They quoted me $3K to $4K to replace the windows, but said I should call Circle Glass to just replace the glass portions of the windows (instead of the whole windows with frames). Circle Glass came and did the whole job for $1,200, including also replacing a glass shower door that had a crack in it. The whole job took about 2 hours and everything was perfect. They created 3 plexiglass window well covers from a partial old broken one for a starting template; replaced the broken plexiglass in a narrow window transom (they had to dismantle and put the window framing back around the plexiglass) and replaced the glass in 4 rather difficult aluminum kitchen cabinet doors where the glass appeared to be welded inside the metal frame. read more

I first came into contact with Circle Glass from a contractor who was renovating a bathroom a few years ago. I needed some glass shelves fabricated for a medicine cabinet, and Circle Glass did an great job walking me through the ordering process and their prices were excellent. Those glass shelves are still in mint condition, and much easier to care for than cheap plastic versions. Since then, I've also used this shop to fabricate glass toppers for a coffee and dining table, a small oval mirror to repair my mom's antique, and a large piece of Plexiglas to cover an exterior mudroom wall. Thankfully, I haven't had to use them for this purpose, but I also referred a neighbor to Circle Glass, and they were able to custom fabricate replacement glass for storm windows. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and if you visit their shop, they also have a display of the different types of products they carry, in addition to some interesting examples of past projects for clients. If you ever have the need for custom fabricated glass (or Plexiglas), I highly recommend skipping the big box home improvement stores, and visit these folks. Some neighborhood kid must have gotten a bb gun for his birthday . . . and ping, crack, ping, ping, ping went one of my dormer windows. Then a lunatic squirrel ripped out the screens on both dormer windows, so it was time to get the screens removed and take care of the broken window. I contacted Circle Glass and they came out, on time, to measure my window and quote a price. The guy that came to measure the glass was excellent. He was fast and took the screens down the first visit which really helped a lot (when I had all the windows replaced, they left the screens in the dormer windows which really act as sky lights and shouldn't have screens). He told me I'd have the quote in a couple of days (I did), and they'd order the glass which may take a few weeks. When I received the call with the quote, they asked for 50% payment (credit card over the phone - they did not ask for the CVV). When the glass was ready, they called and left a message telling me the time and date for the glass installation and if I needed the time/date changed to contact them. They showed up on the date/time they told me and replaced the glass. The two guys they sent were great. The entire experience was positive. They office checked with me about charging the same credit card for the balance - receipts were sent via email. The cost, while not exceptionally cheap, was very fair especially as they came out twice. And they get credit for NOT trying to get me to replace the window! The guys seemed very honest and focused on getting my problem fixed. I absolutely recommend Circle Glass & Mirror. It was painless and hassle free. read more

This company is AWFUL! We have been called daily about a bill that was to be paid, and it appears that whoever was calling wanted payment to be made over the phone. The phone calls begin within a few days of the final work on our project, one that is fraught with errors, mic measurements, and a lack of communication, with Circle Glass having to come back three times to get things right (this took 6 months!) Typically, invoices are 30 days net, but Circle Glass wanted payment immediately. We requested an invoice so that we could verify the charges they were requesting were correct. After seeing the amount requested that we were asked to pay, we saw that we were being overcharged by $750 because there was no accounting for the 50% deposit that we made in July of 2021. This was unbelievable, and not what we expected from a reputable company. NO apology for miscalculating the charge! We informed the person calling that we would be sending a check after were received an invoice, which we did. We continue to get daily phone calls, in spite of being told that a check would be after receiving an invoice and being told that a check had been mailed. They keep calling EVERY DAY! This is **not** the way to deal with customers, particularly since your company messed up on our order twice with faulty measurements and/or poor cutting of the glass. And we never received an apology from you about all of the time it took to get things right, and for having to be at home on three separate occasions for many hours for the installers to set the glass into the shelves. Before leaving the store, John informed me that my mirror would be ready by Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week. They took specific dimensions and cut it for me, cost less than $20. Managed to break the replacement window because I dropped it while installing it. So impressed with this company. I had a shattered French door replaced. I called and they made an appointment to come measure. They came the next day and called 15 minutes ahead of time to tell me they were on the way. They came in the timeframe they told me. They got the measurements, I received the quote within 48 hours, I told them I wanted to move forward and they told me what the next steps would be. The door came in when they told me it would, they installed it a few days later, the process was quick! Customer service was super nice and friendly when scheduling and tell me the next steps. Dropped off 7 brand new custom aquariums (+/-$2,500) for holes to be drilled for plumbing. Circle Glass staff informed me that "we drill holes like this all the time" and "should be no problem", but with the caveat that the work could not be guaranteed as they wrote up the ticket. I left them with specific instruction to stop drilling and call me if/when they encountered any problems. Had a similar experience to another reviewer below- they gave me a one week turnaround to drill 9 holes in the glass. Never rec'd an update on the due date, overshot the deadline and after I was notified I still I arrived to find them doing the work while I waited. The owner had delegated the work out to one of their younger / rookie staff, who clearly wasn't experienced at the task. 5 of the 7 tanks were very poorly drilled. None of the 9 holes were professionally drilled. One tank was cracked, and each of the five had "walking" marks where they scraped the glass with an uncontrolled drill bit, as well as "blow out" where they didn't ease up on the drill tension before exiting the glass cut. They were very proud of the work and I clearly was not on the same page. I expressed my concern to the owner- most notably thatI left clear instruction to stop and call if any problems were encountered. Instead, shoddy work was performed on each of the aquariums- ruining them for display purposes. The owner quickly rebuttled with the "no guarantees" response. After several minutes of back and forth, he finally agreed to "meet me half way" on the original price quote. The drilled glass looked terrible- I was forced to purchase an entirely new set of custom aquariums. I then decided to drill them myself, with the help of a simple Youtube tutorial, a diamond drill bit and some patience. My drilled holes were impeccable and I'd never drilled glass in my life. Can't speak as to the quality of their other work, but aquarium / terrarium hobbyists: I would strongly advise taking your business elsewhere. read more

We have used this company for years but the last two jobs have convinced us to NEVER use them again. The staff is fine but the owner is a jerk. He dodges phone calls, never calls with changes to the delivery schedule-they promised a three week turn around and it was almost ten weeks before the glass arrived. - and was belligerent and defensive. The list of "reasons" was long and differed with every phone call. He told me he would personally supervise our installation on the scheduled delivery day, but that day came, there was no delivery and he had taken the day off, without a call to my contractor, who sat waiting for him for hours. When I confronted the owner at my home today, I told him he needed to reimburse my contractor for his crew's lost wages and send me the adjusted bill. An hour later I got a message from Amex notifying me that he had run the balance without authority and without explanation about the charges. He couldn't be reached at work. So disappointing. John, the person who answers the phone is great but their follow up leaves a lot to be desired. Someone dropped the ball on scheduling the installation of my windows. The replacement was supposed to be 3 weeks after the estimate. I finally called to see what was going on. They can't install my windows until another 2 weeks delay for a total of 5 weeks of waiting for my project to be completed. I hope the install goes smoothly but I no longer have high hopes. To add insult to injury, I referred them to my neighbor and Circle Glass lost the estimate for her window. Really?! read more

I brought in a drawing for a custom mirror for a powder room I have renovated. Their price was good so I had them make the mirror. When I took it home a few days later it didn't fit. The shop made it 18 inches wide instead of the 17 inches marked on the drawing. Everyone makes mistakes but where businesses earn five starts is how they handled their mistake. They not only made a new mirror but also paid FastSigns for replacing the frosted edging I had put on the original. No excuses, no arguments, just great service!! read more

To be fair, I would give the Circle Glass staff three stars and zero stars to their management. The previous owners of our home gave us a mirror originally custom made by Circle Glass to be reinstalled at our home. The staff moved the mirror and then broke it during installation. I understand that these things do happen, but did not anticipate that Circle Glass management would not offer compensation for breaking our mirror and leaving ugly industrial glue all over a wall. Instead, they charged us for this "service". Lesson learned: bring a lawyer if you intend to do business with this operation. read more

Great company. I have worked with them on several occasions over 3 years, and they have always been very professional and offer fair prices for their services. They have installed a very large bathroom mirror and several shower doors for me. While it can take some time to get custom shower doors, their service is very thorough. The technician will inspect the project and point out any caveats up front, so you can make an informed choice. They will also ensure that you meet code, and give options for installation. Just recently, I had an issue with a door stop strip for a shower door panel they installed (almost 2 years after installation), and they were extremely generous and sent me a replacement strip via mail. They were the only shop in the metro area willing to help me out. We had used Circle Glass once before and they did an okay job. The job was late and the glass order was incorrect. The last time we used them, it was a nightmare. They showed up early to replace some transom windows. We were 10 minutes behind them arriving home. When we got there they had busted 2 windows spraying glass fragments into the house and all over the kitchen counter. When asked about it the installer (Tony) denied knowing anything about it and was surprised their was glass all over the floor. Spent hours cleaning it up and cut my foot my foot in the process. I was wary of using Circle Glass because of the many less-than stellar reviews on yelp but it was recommended by a couple neighbors. We needed a custom glass panel (40" x 74.5") for above our front entry door (a "transom" is the technical term I believe). Only about $300 for the custom size, I was shocked! I ordered right before the holidays so the "10 business days" timeline seemed a little skewed because of days off between Circle Glass and their vendor but they called when it was ready (about 3 weeks later - 10 business days when you don't count Xmas, Xmas Eve, NYE, & NY Day). A deposit was placed over the phone, and final balance paid upon pick up. They helped my contractor load it up into his truck, offering cardboard to protect it. Glass was in great condition and fit perfectly into the space it was needed for! Highly recommend using this company. read more

However, the work is often sloppy (see their showroom displays) and their customer service and communication are quite poor. Called this business as a result of a recommendation from another company who I contacted regarding repairing a Certainteed window in our house. The staff I spoke to a couple of times were great on the phone, very helpful, friendly and professional. I got a quote for a new piece of glass I thought was good, so we ordered it. about 10 days later, they called to schedule the install and the guys came out in a couple of days. There were 2 guys, they took the window out to the truck, replaced the glass and boom, it was done in 15 minutes. I liked everything about this job except I thought the labor rate was pretty high (glass was only 56 dollars, labor was about 185). When they quoted me the cost, I figured that was the majority for the glass since they had to order it, but it was for labor. In any event, the job was well done and timely and I am pleased. read more
