I've used Rosemont Glass several times and was pleased with Andrew's work... But the last two windows (glass) he installed in my bathroom were not installed correctly and every time it rains hard, lots of water seep through. It happened within months of installation, (still under warranty) Tried to get Andrew to fix the faulty windows, but he gave me the run around and never came to fix them. Extremely disappointed..... I thought he would stand behind his work... But he did not.... Would not recommend it at all... read more

Outer pane of my sliding glass door shattered on its own and Andrew was out to my place the next day to replace the whole double-pane panel. Andrew made sure that every single piece of shattered glass was vacuumed up prior to starting work on the door and carefully checked again for any stray fragments after the replacement unit was installed. Also, Andrew's assistant was unexpectedly unavailable so he completed the usual two-person job on his own in just a couple hours and delivered a high-quality result better than the original. I had a single pane broken by a tree removal service in January, which is not an ideal time to have a window out. After three weeks the tree service told me to handle the window myself, as they were having difficulties finding someone to do the window. Within a week Andrew had been to my house to evaluate and measure the window, provided a reasonable quote, and replaced the window. I turned to Rosemont Glass after a truly awful experience with Del Ray Glass (used by my GC). I wish I had known about Rosemont Glass sooner as they are great - honest, ethical, prompt, etc. Andrew takes his time to look at a project and makes great suggestions on what will work, what won't, the price comparisons of various options, etc. They also offer many finishes of antiqued mirror which is not always easy to find, and they do a great job of installing it. I have a hand-carved desk that was gifted to me and needed glass fitted into a carved opening. I wrote to three companies through their websites and got a fast reply from Andrew. While his price was the highest, it wasn't out of my budget and unlike the other companies, he wrote back with questions, which led to him coming over and taking his own measurements of the non-standard opening. I really appreciated the attention to detail and service he provided. His quote included tax, the measurement visit, delivering the glass himself, and making sure it fit and was clean, I doubt those were included in the other quotes. read more

Andrew was terrific! The man who mows my lawn accidentally broke my large custom sized sliding glass door. It was shattered completely - though thankfully for "shatter-proofing" it was still in place in its million pieces. I called 5 different places for estimates. This is what set Rosemont Glass and Andrew apart from the others: -He came precisely on time, both for the free estimate and for installation. - When he saw the state my door was in, he safety-taped it up for me to make sure it didn't accidentally shatter from the frame...not because I asked him, just because it kept the door safe. - his price was significantly lower than all the others (less than half of two of them). -he was very precise in his measurements. On their website it says free estimate, which is the reason why I contacted them for an evaluation to do the work in the next few weeks before settlement. I had a person who identified on his business card as a "co-owner" come by on a Saturday to evaluate my downstairs windows and to give an estimate on the cost to repair a cracked double pane window. I needed a written estimate to give to the potential buyer of my home based on what was found in the home inspection, (which also included an evaluation to see if there was any moisture around my windows). He did not find any moisture evidence like rotted drywall, mold or base board damage. He said, like I thought, that when the house was renovated before I bought it, the damage was repaired from the outside and they didn't bother with the replacing the window sills with the damage and just painted over it. I asked if could get that in writing to give to the buyers and he said OK, but then he decided to remove the window and take it to his truck. When he returned, he handed me some items (which turned out to be the beading surrounding the glass) and put the window back in. He then goes to say that he can return on Wednesday to do the work, but I told him this is all preliminary information for the buyer. A few days went by and still did not receive the estimate, and I called him because my agent need to provide the estimate to the buyer by 6pm that day. I ask him about the estimate, and he proceeds to tell me that he can't issue any paperwork unless an order is placed to do the work. So there was no free estimate that I could get in writing. (At this point I looked on YouTube to make sure I could put the beading back on myself and proceeded to do so. I guess he thought this would ensure a return) To make things worse, the buyers agent, in lieu of the estimate, wanted to talk to him, so I provided the contact number. He proceeds to tell the agent that he's not sure if there was a moisture problem around the windows (because he didn't have a moisture detector and that it would be $2000 to fix the windows), but mentioned nothing about NOT seeing any visible water damage, rotten drywall, moldy carpets, rotted baseboards etc, and that the walls are solid. Plus my window frames are metal, which can give a false moisture reading on moisture detectors since they are calibrated for wood frames. So now the buyer is requesting a $4000 credit over what I had initially offered for a repair credit. My agent is telling the buyers agent not to use them for repairs for the express reason of being deceptive in offering free estimates. A verbal estimate is not something that is binding, which means they could change the amount without notice after doing the work and you are stuck. Not a good look for a business. read more

We had several windows in our house that were clouded over, had broken glass, or wouldn't open. I thought that we would have to spend thousands of dollars to replace the windows. Andrew assessed the damage and said that they just needed new glass panes and new balances. Andrew and his colleague arrived on time and replaced the glass and balances in several of our windows in a couple of hours. I found Andrew to be honest, kind, professional, and he charged reasonable prices. It's too bad that the two one-star reviews brought down their rating, one from a miscommunication and another from a person who was trying to take advantage of Rosemont Glass's free assessment with no intention of using their services.
