I was going to fix it myself and had found the glass at Home Depot and Lowes for approximately $32 and the silicon was about $10 for the tube. My problem was that I could not get to it after a few days and I was leaving out of town soon so I called Mission Glass to repair it. They price gouged, me charging me $209.89. They were quick to take my order, quick to arrive, they were able to repair the window with in 10 minutes. The service was great with the exception of the price. If they pay their technician's $30/hr. with a 32% burden, 1hr labor to include travel, assuming the material cost above, and 10% overhead. The cost would have been $89.76. That means they are charging a 57.23% profit and in my case that was $120.13. The thing that irritated me is they refused to give me a itemized receipt upon request, but then they insisted I sign a blank form saying the work was complete. To be clear the technician was nice about it, but he was required to get my signature. I filled the form out myself and took a carbon copy after signing. I only agreed to the service because of a time crunch otherwise I would have shopped around and/or just finished the project myself.

I had a handy man completely remove the exterior trim and re-caulk. That didn't solve the leaks. Other vendors recommended everything from water tests to full-out replacements. After last night's bad storm, we had a lot of leaking. Carlos came over within one hour of calling him, the very same day. When he arrived, he went up on a ladder and asked me to grab my ladder so he could show me the issue - the windows had either never been glued properly, or the glue had deteriorated in the hot Texas sun. Either way, the solution was applying glue to the *bottom* of the windows where they sit in the vinyl (not fixing the top which is what other folks always gravitated to.) BLUF: they quoted me to remove my existing entrance door and install a new one. sent me a quote for…read morematerials and labor which i accepted (i have all records of communication). After i paid for the materials, it was a struggle to get them to show up and they never finished the job. timeline: paid on December 1st and was told installation would be done by December 19. They said they would prep the door (paint, etc.) and have it ready for the 19th. The week of the installation i never received an update. when i called i was told that they could not be here because of weather. Next, they said they would come on January 2 to do the job. They showed up only to tear up my entrance and leave it unfinished (See pictures). They took multiple measurements of everything they could find but not made any real progress. They left and took the door and materials (that i already paid for) to paint them (didnt do it the first time) and said they would come back the following Friday (1/9/26) to finish the job. when next friday came, they never showed up, i received no communication from them. After calling multiple times for several days with no response, i was able to connect with them by calling from a different number (they thought was a new job). I was finally able to get Rene to at least return my door and materials that i paid for (which they overcharged me for). They finally showed up a few days later to deliver my materials, but the job was never finished as originally contracted. This is not the first time this happens.
