If you've ever been to the Indiana State Fair, there's a pretty good chance you've encountered a group known as Circle City Cloggers. Founded in 1995, the Circle City Cloggers both perform and offer classes around, you guessed it, clogging.
The group is mainly for adults. There's an off-shoot group known as the Still Kickin' Cloggers comprised of older adults (55+) who do somewhat simpler and less demanding routines.
The cloggers typically get a pretty good crowd at the Indiana State Fair, because they're just plain fun to watch. It's clear that the people who do it enjoy it, and they're quite good at it. Over the years, I've seen the cloggers at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, churches, Circle of Lights and at a variety of other local events.
While the group doesn't have a website that I could find, they are active on social media.
While clogging may not be something for everyone, it has a wonderfully retro vibe and I always look forward to checking out the cloggers during fair time. If you ever get a chance, I'd check them out. read more
