I had a chance to live here for almost three years. It was beautiful out the back sliding door, and I had some very nice neighbors. The one issue that seems more common than it should be, is a change in management that negatively affects tenants, mostly in poor communication styles, and second, not being given back deposit.
I was moved out by mid month, therefore had a chance to go back daily and clean every corner top to bottom of my apartment. I was told I could paint the walls when I moved in, as they had not been given a fresh coat, my moving in so quickly. I was never told to paint them back to white, no verbal, nor written. Being that I had two weeks to clean, I called the newer landlord/tenants daily, asking one of them to come and view the apartment, to let me know exactly what I need to do to get back my deposit. Each phone call was met with "I do not have time to stop in today...". or I had voice message with no return calls from either of them. As my exit date neared, the female manager, said she went through quickly and it was fine. I continued to get things in top shape, it was only me living there, very clean, orderly, and nicely decorated. Never once would the landlord stop in when I was there, usually half a day.
After moving out, the Cinnamon Hills apt. management/owner called and said I would not receive full refund because they failed to mention I needed to paint all the walls that were not white, back to white. I had 14 days that I could have spent painting the walls, probably would have had to purchase paint myself.
I did not appreciate a business keeping my money when I asked a handful of times to have apt. viewed to let me know what repairs were needed, if any. This procedure may be more common than we know.
Enough writing, you get the point.
Beautiful area to live I must say. read more
