Good food and service at very reasonable price. Will definitely go again. Old worldly and welcoming.

Wild Cafe is a must for breakfast in Bath! Someone in our group recommended we come here and it…read moredidn't disappoint! We arrived in the morning on a quiet weekend. The cafe is a hole in the wall with communal seating and a few other tables inside and some outside. It's a bit packed inside but still quite charming with all the mismatched colorful decor. The service was sweet and efficient. Once seated, we were provided the menus and had our orders taken. The food came out fast and we paid at the front. I don't normally eat breakfast and got the Granola. It was fine--your typical yogurt, granola, and berries. It was tart, crunchy, and sweet--they provide a side of honey. I had half and gave the rest away because I wasn't hungry. Also ordered were the Bubble and Squeak and Fruit Pancakes. Oh my gosh, I had multiple bites of the Bubble and Squeak because it was so good! If I were hungrier I'd order this for myself. It's a delicious harmony of savory filling goodness. Loved the mashed potatoes and all the proteins. Highly recommend! Wild Cafe is an affordably delicious spot for all-day breakfast and brunch. Found on a corner in Bath off Queen Street, it's a must for yummy food!

The portions are large and the food is crazy. Good. We went in there and ordered nice big plates of food and wound up sharing them with each other because everybody got something different. I was so pleased that while I was eating off of someone else's plate that they were enjoying the food off of mine at the same time. Plan ahead for when you're gonna get there. I recommend that one hour to 30 minutes before they close get your order in and that's a sure far away to get you to the head of the line at the end of the day.

Our partners in crime (whom we met, in all…read moreplaces, NY city & they live in Bristol) recommended this place & insisted we have the "Full English" or "Fry Up" for breakfast. This place is right off of the canal & has plenty of outdoor seating. We ordered at the counter & I added a coke to my meal because I needed the sugar. I got a glass with one ice cube but was pleased when they filled the glass up to the top after I asked. We wandered outside to wait for our friends & find a table to eat at. Our friends arrived, placed their order & found us at the table. From the looks on their faces they were struggling as much as we were. Our breakfast was served & I will say....it was interesting. Scrambled eggs with bacon, sausage, baked beans, fried tomato & mushrooms, black pudding & toast. The bacon is different to what we have here in the US but tasty as were the beans (straight out of a can, good thing I like baked beans), the sausage was meh. The black pudding I steered clear of because it looked like a piece of charcoal & I don't eat blood. Overall the meal was good, tasty & filling. It made me feel human so that's a huge plus. Loved watching the long boats gliding up & down the river. Looked like some people lived on theirs. I guess it would be like tiny house living. Definitely a great place to sit back, enjoy a good meal & company.

The large room inside is nice, with old beams and decorations like an old saddle, but the windows are only small and a big queue up the middle did make it feel rather enclosed. Outside there are tables and chairs. We might have made use of them as the day was warm, but the only ones available had small tables to the side of the chair, which would have been awkward to eat at. Food is ordered at the counter. They have cakes and drinks there that you can take immediately, and a range of simple fare such as toasties, soup and baked potatoes to order. Though the big crowd in was some excuse I did feel our food was very slow to arrive. There were long gaps between things coming out of the kitchen. Maybe they were short on staff and/or cooker space. The cakes (which we ate first for some reason!) were absolutely delicious: light and buttery. Definitely recommended. I also had a Wiltshire ham rarebit. The food is well presented with generous portions and a big salad on the side. Unfortunately my lettuce had clearly come out of the bottom of a bag of ready prepared leaves and nobody had noticed that the darker leaves were actually bruised to mush in places Everybody's salad looked fresh otherwise. I was a bit puzzled when my rarebit arrived as at first glance I didn't see any ham. Turns out the 'Wiltshire' doesn't just mean it was local, but is a special type of ham, tending towards gammon. Instead of the usual bits of ham I actually had a huge slab of the stuff under the cheese! Though the price was more than you'd normally pay for toast with ham and cheese, with that portion it was well justified! And very tasty Overall my impressions were very positive. Food was fresh and of good quality, though they were clearly cracking a little under the pressure of a busy period, leading to slips such as my salad. I enjoyed my food and would return again.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating. They serve light meals, desserts, and drinks. I had a lemon drizzle cake and it was really good! We sat in here for a while on a really warm day and enjoyed a drink and some sweets. The only parking for this place is at the Lacock general car park. There isn't any WiFi which would have been nice for us tourists. This place is totally a tourist town, so some WiFi would make sense. Friendly service and a small selection of items makes this a nice place to stop on your way into and out of Lacock.
