This is off the touristy strip. But I need to get my laundry done so I walked about 20 minutes away from my hotel to do some laundry. Across the street from the laundromat was a bakery and down the street was this little coffee shop. For 2 delicious coffees and 2 breakfasts of toast and scones it was way under 10 pounds. Very affordable breakfast off the beaten path. It's located across the street from a pizza express and next-door to a Thai restaurant. This is an a cute neighborhood called Wapping. read more

This is a nice little neighborhood coffee shop on Wapping High Street. As well as good coffee, they have pastries, free wireless, and a room at the back to sit, eat and read away from hustle and bustle of the busy-ish street. The coffee quality is better than anything I've tasted in the area, only just a bit behind what other more 'leading edge' coffee shops are offering in other parts of London, but certainly miles ahead of what was available just a few short years ago in the caffs around here. I also like the fact that you can sit against the window with your drink and food on a little ledge, and watch the foot traffic as it ambles by. read more

Delicious coffee, sandwiches, and pastries. Cute decor. WiFi. All very strong points for this cute little shop. Unusually, they charge the same for small as for large, and for with and without flavorings, on their coffee drinks! I can't see how that is profitable, but it must work and is a neat feature. read more

Cosy spots like this are the reason we love this neighbourhood. This little café is cute as a button with friendly staff that'll put a smile on your face - what more could you ask for?! Oh yeah, decent coffee... which they have down too :) It's the mister who usually heads down here to pick us up a weekend coffee and pastry treat (earning mega brownie points obvs), but if you're eating-in the people-watching onto the cobblestoned streets outside is pretty good plus they have the morning papers out. My fave pastry to indulge in so far is the flakey goodness that is their almond croissant, but I should probably sample a few more yet to make a properly informed decision... read more

This is my favourite local cafe! Love to spend the day reading with one of their yummy flavours coffees. Making my way thought the list of speciality coffee, my favourite so far is their Cinnamon Latte and it goes perfectly with a slice of cake which I can never resist. I just wish their was more space and seating. read more

A chill little coffee place where you can sit outside or relax inside. Simple decoration, quality products but nothing fancy or pretentious with a friendly and helpful staff. If you're in the neighborhood stop there and take the time to sit down and appreciate the calm atmosphere of Wapping. Finding a spot can sometimes be tricky because It's such a small place. But Cinnamon Coffee Shop grows on you like a comfy place you come back to time and time again. read more

A lovely little neighborhood spot for good coffee and ambiance. I'm drawn to coffee shops that are sweet and welcoming and feel like you are in someone's living room, and Cinnamon's adorable little "shabby chic" space does just that. They even have some outdoor seating for nice days. Also, the Superman wallpaper in the bathroom is too cute!! read more

My friend and I are on holiday and staying in Wapping and we absolutely love Cinnamon! The staff is so friendly and their drinks are fantastic. I have been getting their almond milk latte for a week straight and it's one of the best I've ever had. I'll definitely miss it when I go home! read more

Very small gem of a coffee shop. These guys serve Monmouth coffee which is pure perfection. Their cakes are enormous and look homemade (red velvet cake us deelish). I meet here with many business partners and they don't mind. Good wifi and also dog friendly. They are in a very small space which is charming but can mean your out of luck sometimes when it comes to seating. A real asset to Wapping. Not so much of a people-watching spot since it's generally quite quiet here but I love being here. And it's not a chain! So glad to see this is popular with everyone. This place is great, and one of the only café style places in the neighbourhood. The coffee is delicious, and the pastries are as well, although honestly their breakfast sandwiches never look too appealing (but to be fair, I have never actually tried the breakfast sandwich there). The space is small, but gets a great deal of sun, and the wall paper in the bathroom is worth a trip in and of itself (I love me some interesting bathroom decorations)! The only complaint is that, because it is so small (or 'cozy' if you prefer), it can fill up quickly and it makes it difficult to even get in the door to wait in line. Still, it's one of my favourite coffee places in London, and definitely my favourite in the neighbourhood. (Don't be afraid to ask for an extra shot.) read more

Delicious latte (drink in for £2.20). Perfect creaminess without being too sweet and still having the coffee flavour. Yum.

A nice looking cafe however we experienced some rude rude horribly rude customer service from the waitress who served us. I happen to work in the area and have been to Cinnamon before however this experience has well and truly ruined it for me. I went in with a colleague for a slice of their red velvet cake (which does taste delicious even if it is a menial slice, mind) the waitress decided to choose a small sliver of a slice as the cake as it is cut in various sizes which doesn't warrant it's £3.50 pricetag. I advised that I would prefer an alternative slice to which she agreed but then decided to ignore my request. I repeated my request to which she then turned toward me condemning me the ultimate dirty look that she possibly could muster up. She packed up the delicate piece of cake which caused so much drama and left it on the counter without even advising me that it was ready. With her blatant lack of acknowledgement towards me, I picked up my belongings and left the shop thanking her to which she responded to a resilient huff. The girl could do with some manners, her presentation is impeccable with her high bun all in place, however it seems that her manners were misplaced today. I hope that no one else experiences such frosty encounters especially when the entire shop is empty and you're the only customer trying to make your day go a bit smoother with a slice of cake.
