Only good experience. About this theatre today was the delicious but overpriced 15$ impossible nuggets. This theatre was way too packed for the amount of staff they had on, kids snuck into the theatre to see Meg 2 with me and were on their phones, yelling and laying in my lap the entire time, the manager finally came and asked to. see half their tickets but instead of dealing with the no ticket outside she argued with them in front of me middle of the movie and then let them stay. I see at least 5 movies a month here and I'll never come back, security guard came in and just texted. If every movie is sold out MONITOR the theatre rooms and kick people the heck out No time. I took in a late matinee flick at this Cineplex. It was my birthday and I treated myself to a free movie. It must had been around 3:45 pm when I got to the parking lot. There is plenty of parking. This movie theatre was the closest one to my hotel. I walked in I had already redeemed my SCENE points for free admission to Yesterday on my phone. I simply had the ticket's barcode scanned by a staff member and I was good. I didn't get anything at the concession stand. My pho lunch and bubble tea that I had consumed earlier made me do a pass on popcorn. This statement speaks volumes! The theatre that I was in was comfortable. Sadly, each seat does not have a headrest. It's a minor detail, but sometimes, it's nice to rest my heavy head against something. There was plenty of legroom to stretch out. It was great to enjoy watching the flick in an air-conditioned theatre on a hot summer day. I enjoyed Yesterday. I had a great time here. If you are hungry, there are food options close by, such as Montana's and Kelsey's. Otherwise, if you drive a bit, there's more variety waiting for you. (276) read more

Very nice and clean movie theater. It is located in a very commercial area close to the airport. I usually stay in a hotel close by so I come here often... overall on Tuesdays when the price is half :) I was gladly surprise to see the variety of "snack food" in the concession stand, it is not only the classic pop corn, hot dog and nachos... there is chicken nuggets, putin, french fries, etc. Even thought I don't like the fried smell inside the movie theater when the people brings the food, I think is good for the customers to have the option to eat different things. There is like 12 movie theaters in different sizes... but the good thing is that even the small ones have a pretty good big screen so you don't miss being in a bigger room. As an anecdote... it was funny for me to see at different times the amount of people (all ages) playing Dance Revolution in the small arcade room, some of them looks like they just come to play that, they even bring a small towel for the sweat. :) read more

We bought our tickets using the Online service were we could pick them up on a Saturday evening. The good: Screen is big. Prime seats are actually comfortable. The bad: Online Mobile pickup machine was out of order (that was very frustrating). We had to wait in line for 20 minutes for our tickets because they only had one clerk (for a Saturday night!!!) soft drinks are very watered down. Sound in cinema was disappointing. This theatre has a lot of potential for whatever will become of 'going to the movies'. It's not busy, but it's located in a great location. It's close to transit and major roads as well as a number of restaurants. Personally I like this location a lot. Only downside is Cineplex as a brand charges astronomical prices for snacks. The cinema is a bit on the grungy side but it offers everything you need. It doesn't feature IMAX or AVX screens but you can still pay for reserved seating. I went to see the Warcraft movie a while back and even though the screening room was kind of small and oddly it was flat (most screening rooms in theaters I've been to usually are way more slanted) I still enjoyed going there and I'll probably go back if ever I'm in the area read more

This theatre is using Cineplex'a new Prime system which allows you to reserve seats, and for theater 7 in the cinema this includes 2 rows. Theatre 7 is a smaller theatre, and the reserved seats are not placed in prime positions; rows 5 and 6. This means the screen is very close. This would have been fine if their online seat selection tool had those rows listed as the reserved seats, but itbdidnt. It was rows 6 and 7, and I selected as far back as I could. They also didn't have adult 3D glasses in the adult glasses bin, just kid-sized. I don't mind paying a bit extra for "extra", but expect it to be as advertised. Finally, their mobile pickup kiosk was offline. We often go to this theatre when in Ottawa, but will likely start going to another. read more

I used to really love this cinema as it symbolized freedom in my youth and overall, it's really not bad. Today, there is stiff competition in the cinema industry with the fancy reclining chairs, amazing sound systems, and extensive concession stands - Cineplex needs to step it up a little. That said, the cinema is a little cheaper than others and overall still makes a great space for catching a new flick - makes a good night out. I would say, if they don't make any upgrades and keep the prices down, then this place is absolutely worth a visit! read more

Call me crazy but this may very well be my favourite Cineplex in town. It's cozy without having an awkward centre aisle like some smaller theatres that make having a centre seat impossible. The concession still has all your classic theatre fare plus some extras. I also love that this location does the throwback movie screenings like dirty dancing, ET and Jurassic Park to name a few. It's also one of the few (within Ottawa) that you can include in a whole day out (shopping, dinner, drinks, and movie) without driving to and from or potentially getting lost trying to walk there (Ie Bayshore/Carling). read more

With 12 screens and a location that's not too far away from the downtown core, Cineplex Odeon South Keys aims to attract mainstream audiences from different age brackets. They have children's movies, teen movies, horrors, dramas, comedies and action. It's rare to find an independent movie here. Some of the unique offerings from this theatre include a snack bar that also has poutine and other fried food. The poutine is pretty bad. Like Gloucester Silvercity, South Keys also offers Metropolitan Opera performances on every second Saturday at 1pm. This theatre is also located at the tail end of the huge South Keys strip mall. If you need to kill time, Chapters is next door, plus there's plenty of chain restaurants and stores. read more

On Friday afternoon I ventured to South Keys Cinemas for a date with my man. Being that we're getting married soon, we decided to go at 4:30pm. Marriage=being elderly, you see. We decided to go see 21 Jump Street (HILARIOUS, btw. Definitely see it) and entered the theater a few minutes before the show was to start. We had a voucher for the date (see? OLD) and we went up to use it. I think the kid behind the cash was new because he seemed bewildered when looking at it. It all got sorted out, though, and we were soon on our way in to the theater, giant drinks and popcorn in hand. The theater itself was clean, which I appreciate. Nothing like a sticky floor to make you wonder what happened in the seat you're currently occupying. We enjoyed the movie thoroughly. It helped we were two of 8 whole people in the place. Totally going for old person timed shows from now on. After the show I had to run to the loo, (as per usual after drinking a litre of watery Diet Coke), and had to open 4 stalls before finding one that wasn't overflowing in the fifth one I tried. Being that there were approximately 20 patrons in the whole place, I think the bathroom could have easily had some attention. We'll be back, but not for the experience - it's just really close to home! read more

If you're in the area, this Cineplex Odeon is extremely convenient. It's right at the end of the South Keys strip mall, with many of restaurants and shops in the area to keep you occupied if you have a bit of waiting time before your movie. They have a pretty good selection of movies, offering the newest releases, as well as popular flicks that have already been out for a little while. Just don't go looking to watch any independent films here because there never are any. What's great about this theatre is that they still offer cheaper movie ticket prices on Tuesdays. They've been offering this since they opened back in 1997, and continue to do so! read more

The South Keys Mall is conveniently located between Bank Street and the Transitway to make it convenient for people who bus or drive. If you are taking the bus you can get off at either Greenboro or South Keys. There are some great stores here and also a cinema. Restaurants include Denny's and Montana's. There is a Starbucks for coffee-lovers. I do find it inconvenient though, that though many of the stores, though attached together are not accesible one from the other. This means that you have to put your coat back on after each store and walk to the next. Some are quite far from one another. Also if you are driving, there are excessive speed bumps in the parking lot, be careful and give yourself extra time! read more

Good I go to this location most often, it's the closest to where I live. The food is slightly over priced. 1 Medium drink costs you around 2$. The actual auditorium is not always the cleanest, and it's FREEZING cold. I always have to pack a sweater. Bathrooms aren't the cleanest, and their air dryers are way too loud! I personally prefer silvercity, but it's quite far for me. I recommend trying it, but I understand if you don't like it. read more

Cineplex Odeon is my local theatre and my girl friend and I would go too 2 or 3 movies a month and sometimes more in the summer. The seats were getting quite old and they were changed, it seemed like a nice surprise untill I sat down, it was quite tight and I almost knocked my drink out of its armrest holder and my girlfriend saved it from spilling. The seat was narrow and tight on the hips and the back was short and offered no head or neck support and my girlfriend who is quite tinny didn't find the new seats as comfortable as the old ones were. The movie we saw was in 3D and the only glasses they had were child size so we had to squeeze them on and it looked rediculous lol. I don't know if they were temporarily out of adult 3D size glasses because we never went back. We go to the Ottawa Cineplex on Carling now 15 minutes farther and its worth it for the large comfortable fully reclining seats, by far the best of all the cineplexes. We also go to the Landsdowne Cineplex when it has a movie we must see that's not playing at the Ottawa Cineplex, and seats at Landsdowne Cineplex are ok and recline a little. read more

Good old cineplex. Gotta have a scene card for the free movies. I do matinees, so the theatres are always next to empty and clean. They have most of the movies so I'm satisfied. Like every movie theatre, the concession are ridiculously overpriced. I refuse to pay 10$ for a small popcorn and if I do, I will drown it in butter just so I can feel as if I dinged them... So yeah... If you go there hungry, it's a 2/5 due to the prices. If you go just for the movie, definite 5/5. So i'll give it a 4 because I'm feeling generous read more

Best theatre for watching movies early in the day. You can watch a flick and get home in time for the kids at 3PM!

I like this location best because even though they are busy they manage that time well. We love coming for Saturday Family movies. My only complaint would be to scrub down those booster seats for the kids :D read more
