Good idea on their part, but this cinema lacks some of the finer details that you would find at some of the chains. Considering that it's the closest cinema to my place, I'll usually end up going here, but that's just convenience. The picture quality and the screen sizes here aren't as nice as the other options in Windsor, but it's nothing that won't stop me from catching a film. The place is nicely maintained and not all that old either. This is usually where I end up going to catch a film, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see a movie here if the other alternatives were closer.

We pre-ordered our tickets online and picked them up at a kiosk when we arrived. We also ordered popcorn and drinks which were delicious. We tried the real butter option for our popcorn which was way better than the other butter topping that they offer. This theater is cool because some of the seats have privacy dividers which I've never seen before. These definitely helped minimize distractions from other people. I can't wait to come back here.

Three million dollars went into building this lavish structure, and now it's decaying as a parking garage. **smh** If you're fascinated with historic buildings or looking to do some urban exploring, def pay a visit to the Michigan Theatre. It's a fully functioning three-story parking facility that you can access thru the main or side entrance. Please note, it's open to visitors Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm. You might think you can sneak past that squirly security guard, but don't underestimate him -or- the creeper parking attendant that lurks in the corner of the garage perched on an arm rest with cat in tow (à la Dr. No), as they'll instruct you to return during regular business hours.

Full bar and concessions upstairs, the seats are relatively comfortable for such an old theater, sound and picture perfect. The only drawback on busy nights is the ladies room - with 4 stalls, it creates quite a line. We went to see all of the shorts nominated for Oscars, and what a great way to view them! 100% worth the ticket price; I'm already planning to attend every year, as well as go see more films there. PS movie finished - no one ever came to shut off the lights while the movie played. Could we have walked alllll the way back to the front to let them know? Sure.
