Had girls night out with my daughters thinking we would enjoy some junk food and margaritas...sadly the machine that makes margaritas was broken and has been for a while according to one of the staff members. That was our first sign of how things would be that night. We could hear the movie next door over the one we watched. Some people were talking loud and singing with the movie like it was a concert. I told the manager and they seemed afraid to ask them to stop. I didn't get to enjoy the movie like I should have been able to. I should have asked for a refund or a chance to come back and see the movie for free at a later date. read more

Clean, well set up theatre for movie watching, convenient for Temple area. Comfortable reclining seats, able to pick seats buying tickets in advance, also check out how crowded the theatre will be for your show. Reason for the lower rating, for a system that emphasizes/pushes you to purchase tickets in advance/online, the actual "getting to your seat" thing needs some work. Before, you could just walk to the kiosk going back to the screens, show the QR code on your phone, and that's it. This last time, no one on duty at the kiosk, all employees were working the concession stand, and you had to stand in line with the snack/popcorn/drink buyers to get into the theatre. Even had a sign saying check in at the concession counter. Sort of, "what's the point of advance tickets", if you have to wait behind all the snackers? The person checking me in had to physically leave the concession stand to go to the kiosk to let me in. Another reason to wait for things to stream. read more

I am a big fan of this movie theater. The ticket prices are cheaper than what I'm used to. They have large and comfortable leather recliner seats. The auditoriums are small, so you may need to reserve a seat online in advance to get a good seat for a popular movie at peak time. They charge a booking fee online, so I tend to buy tickets in person. read more

My family tends to be holiday movie-goers, so we frequently visit the theater for occasions such as birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, anniversaries, etc. Most recently, we were here over the 4th of July weekend to celebrate Father's Day (a little late, but we live in a different city), and decided to watch Top Gun: Maverick. We ordered the tickets online for convenience, although you will pay a slight surcharge for this. Upon arriving, we went straight to the booth, saving time in line, and scanned the provided QR code. Super easy and efficient - love it! The movie itself was amazing, but one of the neatest features for this particular film was that our seats vibrated with the engine noises - this absolutely added to the film and made the movie going experience even better. While seats are on a reservation basis, the theater was clean, the reclining seats were massive and plush, the sound and film quality was excellent, and the overall experience was great. This is a very good theater and I personally recommend coming here if you're wanting to watch a film in the Temple-area. read more

In my 57 years of living,I have never been told that I have to sit in a specific seat in a movie theater!!! This is incredulously outrageous!! I would NEVER recommend this theater for anything other than making reservations to see a move, who wants to do that!!!! You go in, but your ticket, and sit in whatever seat you want, that's the way you go to the movies, not to be told where you have to sit!!! Never again. read more

Went to see Sound of Freedom (excellent and highly recommend to all, especially anyone who cares about children!). Pros: Theater is in convenient location and has pleasant staff, comfy recliners & clean restrooms. Cons: We were in screening room #12 and could hear the sound from the adjacent screening room #11. It really affected our ability to hear our movie thus adversely affecting the experience. Cinemark needs to improve its acoustics and sound proofing. read more

However, the last several times I have came to a movie here the treaters have been so cold and uncomfortable that I will most likely not return. Worst experience ever!! Had tickets for IF but the movie was moved from auditorium 10 to 12. We were to have same sears. Afterpurchasing concessions we went to auditorium 12 and our assigned seats on row f were not there. There was not a row f. Had to load up my 3 grandchildren and concessions back to the ticket counter. I was told they could put me on row a or b. I said this was not acceptable and they told me the could book me on another day that was convenient to them. I asked for the name of the manager and when they would be in the theater and was told it it was illegal to divulge that information. read more

This is not a joke. When you buy a large soda, it comes out to 6.66 with tax. After I watched the Barbie movie ( I do not recommend), I asked to talk to a manager about the price of the soda. The manager came out and although she was professional, she was wearing satanic earrings (goat heads). I talked to her about her savior, Jesus Christ and let her know the price of the soda is not funny. Hell is not laughing matter. The movies are supposed to be a fun time, but it really does seem to be a mouthpiece of Satan. If the theaters want to be a place where people take their families, how about not changing 6.66 for a soda and allowing the managers to wear satanic items. Three stars are for the employees that were friendly and helpful. The theater is not so good. The carpets are dirty, the ready rooms are not maintained at all! They were so bad that it made you turn around and walk back out. It makes you wonder what you cannot see in the dark. It's worth the drive to go to another location. Been here 3 times and they still don't have nachos, cheese, hot Cheetos... little irritating but I get shipments haven't been super reliable since Covid hit. The thing that really bothered me is that I wouldn't have booked any tickets if I knew I wouldn't have seats. I've been to this theater several times and all of my past experiences have been decent. The theater isn't great about enforcing any sort of "no talking" policy, based off of course one of my first experiences there. Flash forward to this past Friday, my husband and I went to to see Annabelle Comes Home. We ordered a bunch of food from the front. While waiting on my popcorn and the rest of the food that we ordered we watched two employees stick their bare hands into the popcorn machine and eating the popcorn from it. I'm not sure if they saw us watching them eat the popcorn, however, I went back up to the register and requested a refund, explaining what we had just witnessed. The cashier called for a manager, who I thought would come over and inquire more about the situation when low and behold, one of the guys who I saw eating popcorn straight from the machine was the manager. As he was refunding us, he apologized, then turned to the cashier stating how stupid he thought the whole thing was. I think it's safe to say that IF we return to this theater, we'll eat before we go. read more

Great theater with friendly staff and comfy reserved seating! My big complaint at this time and the reason for my taking off entire stars is that the last three movies we have been there to see, their popcorn machine was broken and when asked when it would be ready... the employee merely said "I don't know". That major fact combined with the fact that they removed the ability to buy tickets in advance and scan to have them printed at the theater was removed several months ago with no sign of putting anything else back in ... causing customers to still have to stand in an amazingly slow line to pick up theirs tickets. If this lack of interest in making this an enjoyable place to go for their customers ... they will be losing a LOT of good customers to the theaters around this area who do see their customers needs are met and their equipment repaired in a timely manner! read more

This is the second time we have been here. Sound is good, screens are clear. People are nice and for the most part it's very clean. It's stadium seating with reclining chairs that have swinging arm trays with cup holders. They also have beer and wine for sale if that's something you desire with your movie. Today at 3 pm the bathrooms were low on TP and paper towels but still a good experience. I think this is a great theater for singles, couples or families. read more

When my wife and I want to go see a movie this is the theater we typically go to due to convenience. It's a nice theatre. Decent customer service from employees but I understand that a lot of them are teenagers and this is probably their first job. We've all been there.. Prices are a outrageous but I'm sure that's a company decision especially after COVID. The main purpose of this review is the BATHROOMS. They are disgusting and look like they have not been cleaned in months. As I'm leaving I decided I could not wait to get home so I should just go before I leave. As soon as I walked in you could the floors had dried up pee on the floors and I could hear the stickiness as I walked. I should have turned around and left but I had to go. The sinks looked just as bad, there were no paper towels and only 1 of the air hand driers worked. If I was rating just based off the restrooms then they would get 1 but besides the bathroom and food/drink prices it's a decent theatre. Best movie theater in Temple. Well, not like you really have much of a choice now, do you? It's either this or the one located inside Temple Mall, except devoid of all mall rats - if you know what I mean. Cinemark is fairly new, clean, really spacious, and you feel somewhat secure with an actual TPD officer guarding the premises - not Paul Blart. One thing that I don't understand is why Premiere Cinema gets to feature IMAX and this theater doesn't? Seems a bit backwards to me - inquiring minds want to know. + Cocktail bar located near the entrance. Serves a limited selection of beer and wine. Although, I'm not sure if you can take your drinks with you inside while watching a movie. + Kettle corn served here! Yum. + Ample concession and refreshment stand + Game room, arcades, and birthday party room + Plenty of parking and very well lit at night + 3D movies available. Make sure you get your 3D glasses handed to you by the person that verifies your movie stub. Went to see the new hunger games movie it was quite good, but you have to select your seats and we selected seats. They were in the middle, but they were in the handicap section, but there was nobody else in that section thing is they sold us a seat that was broken. The person with me was practically laying down in a very awkward position without their feet rise. He stayed there. I stayed in my seat, even though it had a tilt to the left also kinda jammed my purse in and since it weren't any other seats on that row together we stayed. I just think it was wrong with them to sell that seat with a big sign on it. That says the seat is disabled or broken. But the person I was with this is all it's no big deal I'm not gonna go complained personally I would've gone and I tried to go before we started the show and get a different seat. So went here during hours of operation, just wanted to get some popcorn for the family, to find all the doors locked and finally got someone to come to the door to be told that they threw out all of the food, because the last movie had started. So then I asked why all the doors are locked and he first said they were closed, I s corrected him and he said yes people were inside but they lock all the doors with the last movie.....what?!? read more

This place attracts the worst movie guests and does nothing about it. How are people supposed to enjoy a movie where people talk through the whole thing and are texting throughout? What does it take to have an usher drop by a couple times and check in? Or look through the projector window and see who's on their phones? Definitely finished with this place, there are better theaters nearby, lower ticket price, don't charge full price for drink refills, and don't seem to attract the most uncourteous patrons. It's just not worth it. Temple needs an Alamo Drafthouse Theater, one that doesn't take crap from rude customers and ensures the enjoyment for the rest of the paying guests. read more

I've been here several times and I'm just now getting around to a review. But I remember when this theater was being built. I was pleased that I didn't have to travel to the Cinemark in Harker Heights to catch a movie. Plus, I wasn't to fond of the movie theater inside Temple Mall. It's located in a newly renovated shopping center and is directly off I-35. You cannot miss it. The first time I visited this Cinemark. I was surprised that they served beer and wine. So that was a plus. Of course, you have the insane mark up on food and drinks. A lot of it is self-serve with the exception of the hot foods and alcohol. I will say that I do like their pizza. It tasted pretty good. The seating in the theater is stadium style. It has faux leather seats that recline. The seating is very spacious. No rubbing of thighs on arm rest. ;-) Luckily, you can still sit wherever you want. It hasn't been converted to assign seating like some of the big cities. Cinemark is very clean even to the restrooms. Some other amenities: Party Room, Game Room, Cafe, Mobile tickets, Kiosk Tickets, 3D and Digital. This place is ridiculous! My younger sisters and I were completely ignored when we walked in. No type of acknowledgement, did not offer an apology for having us wait even though all the staff were just relaxing in the concessions stand staring at us. Mind you the place was empty, nothing was done by management after bringing it up to her attention! As for the last and final time I set foot in this place, was the cashier picked my seats since we were in a group, my boyfriend paid for both our tickets no questions asked. I asked for the location of the seats they were directly at the front I said I can't do that I get a headache from being that close. The guy said there were no more seats available I said well can I get a refund, he said no it was impossible even though we haven't even left the register, he didn't want to change the movie time either or just give us tickets to another movie.. asked for a manager he said there wasn't one. Went to Knives Out November 29 at 6:30pm. Movie was good, but someone was vaping for the entire show. In that enclosed environment, it made it miserable for at least our entire row who was higher than the entitled jerk vaping. The thick stinking cloud just floated up and sat in our faces. I needed asthma meds when I got home. Several people complained to management and I told an employee as we were leaving, and he said "yeah people told us but we didnt know what theater". How about ask you numbskull? I saw the lady who did it as she was leaving and she thought it was really funny. My eyes and throat are still on fire, and thats not funny. What goes around comes around. If Cenimark pay a police officer to monitor the location, why couldnt they have handled it? The staff acted like there was nothing they could do. The Cinemark chain of theaters has done it again. Brand new, clean, state of the art facilities make for a movie experience that the city of Temple is certainly deserving of. Went to see second Hobbit movie in the XD theater and it was AMAZING! Crystal clear, fluid and in 3D. Just amazes me what they can do. Plus, the bar in the theater is a nice touch for those who'd pay $8 for an alcoholic drink as opposed to a 1 little coca-cola. Just saying. ;) read more

I bought tickets to see Bad Moms with my daughter but then she had to work. I emailed to Temple location and Oscar Gonzales, the manager, answered stating he would move the tickets to the next day and today when we went to view the movie I stated I was there to get my tickers and they knew my name and handed my tickets over with a cheerful smile. Mr. Gonzales and his staff made me feel so happy and like a lucky mom to have chosen that theater. We brought several friends even. Such great customer service. So I got hired around early November 2019 at Cinemark and I've worked but I still haven't never seen a check from them; I've tried to higher management with it because it's ridiculous I just wanted to get paid but instead they terminated me for I don't know what reason and I'm top of that still haven't got paid so I took it to corporate tried to do something about it, which the problem still isn't solve but at least they tried. The thing was that I've talked to a lady that told me to go in and to fix some paperwork but I didn't have access anymore so I tried to reach out to Cinemark management AGAIN through phone call and email, the manager told me she would get back to me later she called a couple minutes later and literally said the same thing that she said before we hung up; she said that she was going to have to reset so give her an hour I've been very generous to these people, I just want my money that I've worked for!!!! And supposedly I wasn't supposed to be on the floor is all my hiring paperwork wasn't complete which this whole tine on my end it has been 100%, the management at cinemark act like don't know what they are doing!! read more

Bottom line: Brand new smell and look, big screens and clear picture, recommend! My buddy came from San Angelo to visit me in Killeen. Not finding much to do in the surrounding area, we decided to watch Hercules in theater and googled the closest theater where we were at the time. I always saw this Cinemark while driving on the i-35 and it was the closest one. First impression walking in the door? A bar right in the front. Second impression? Matinee/Military for $6.50. They have the usual concessions right behind the bar. Another impression I got was that they replay old classic movies on the big screens; you don't see that most often in theaters! The seats were comfortable near to leather seats, plenty of space, clean floors, big screen and crisp clear pictures. The bathrooms were even nice. Now, granted I went when it was a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't too busy at all. I would definitely come here instead of Harker Heights, although the latter is much closer to where I live. read more

Close to home and really, it's a decent and clean theater. Not to mention concessions are cheaper than other places (especially if you have the plastic reusable tubs/cups that can be refilled for cheaper than buying new). Saw both the Force Awakens and Civil War here. I will most likely be seeing XMEN: Apocalypse as well since it's closer than the theater at the mall.
