i would say 5 stars but one of my movie trips there the three of us weren't able to sit in our purchased seats. three other girls were in our seats and wouldn't budge. i started asking them to get out of the seats but the people i was there with said we will just sit somewhere else {they wanted to avoid a conflict}. other than that problem theater is always clean bathrooms too and staff always pleasant. i love going to cinemark at the mall. read more

I think this is a good movie thriter because is cheap and I really like the new sets and I the popcorn.

We are closer to this one now so we come here now. They run out of the vitamin waters to often but the customer service is to notch! We like the variety of shows and they turn over slow enough for us to see what we would like but not all in one weekend, yanno what I mean. Parking is usually ok if its not a major opening weekend like this weekend. ..3 new movies and Saturday night sucks. W had to see a different movie the one we wanted sold out but that's ok. This theater looks very nice, but it sits in the busiest area of the Antelope Valley. With the mall and multiple restaurants within walking distance it gets really busy. Came to catch a movie with the family and waiting for the snack line to go down. They have snack line wrapped into the theater area and only 3 out of 10 registers open. Worst service, advice drive ten more minutes and catch a movie in Lancaster. My movie is about to start and I'm still waiting in the lobby. read more

Maintenance is lacking. My seat was broken. Theatres NOT very clean and I dread to think what they look like in full lighting. Food choices and quality are horrible. No pretzels or semi-healthy food choices. Ordered a hot dog and condiments were awful (and empty), such poor overall management and maintenance. No coffee shop like they had years ago. Instead, loud and noise children's arcade games. No place to sit and sip, eat or chat while waiting for your movie. A very cheap, children's venue. If you want an adult menu with some ambiance try Boulevard Cinema's in Lancaster. MUCH better food choices and quality. There is seating for adult conversation before or after your movie. I'm not sure what target market the owner of this theatre actually is....mostly teens I guess. read more

I went here to see Xmen Days of Future Past and it was great! Now the movie theater is ok. It is the newest theater in the Valley, but it is also located in the mall in Palmdale which is convenient, but can attract loitering teens and some strange people. I prefer the far out location of the Lancaster theater because people who go there made the effort to drive all the way out there and are there for the movie, not to hang out and socialize. I go here because of the location, not for the atmosphere. I highly recommend going early in the day, sometimes if you are lucky on a week day during school hours you will be the only person in the theater. read more

Horrible customer service at the food counter. Line was short, but took forever even with 4 registers open. Got up to the counter and the girl at the register went and helped someone out of line to refill a soda. The girl finally came back and was rude about refilling our popcorn and said they changed their policy. Not enough handicapped parking so we had to park far away. I'm on crutches and it's 107 outside with two kids. Mentioned it to the cashier and he didn't care. read more

You might think that all corporate Cinemarks would be the same. Unfortunately, you'd be wrong. My normal go-to movie theater is the Cinemark 22 in Lancaster, but from time to time I end up going down to the Cinemark in Palmdale. The reasons not to go here have nothing to do with the facility itself, it's the customers. Three things I consistently hate about this place 1) It's always crowded. Long lines either inside or outside the theater. 2) People bring their kids and let them run wild and jabber on and on 3) People consistently use their cell phones during the movie Management doesn't seem to care about fixing the suck-fest that is seeing movies in this place. That's why this place is my last resort when I want to see a movie in the AV. read more

Not a bad place to watch a movie, I try to go to the earlier shows to avoid the teenagers hanging out in the evenings. I usually wind up sitting near some kids who won't stop talking but that's just part of them growing up, besides it's a lot cheaper to catch a matinee, so it works out just fine. Tickets prices are super cheap 6.50 for matinee - WOW. Screens are large and audio is good. I've been to far worse places. A lot of choices since they have plenty of screens playing movies. The food is just as expensive as any other location. The taste is also just as good or bad as you would expect. It's still a good place to watch a movie. I know there are mixed opinions but it's not a bad theatre. read more

Tried this place out not too long ago and it was alright. Service is fast and movie theater is decent in size. Prices of snacks and drinks and be a bit expensive but what do you expect from a movie theater. Definitely been to worse theaters. Only problem is uncomfortable seats. read more

I love this movie theatre. It's never crowded and is always very clean. But the best thing this theatre has to offer is their reclining chairs. They recently remodeled and replaced all the seating with reclining chairs. I highly recommend going to this theatre. It's a plus knowing you'll always watch a movie in comfort read more

So my app decided to order tickets to a different location from this one and didn't notice till check in, I asked if I could refund or switch for a later time and worker said no they can't do anything that I needed to call corporate and so I did but they were the worst, didn't care and were not helpful they said I couldn't get a refund because it now went past the movie time and I let her know I was there before movie time and worker claimed they could not help so I had to call which is why it's past the movie time and all they could say was "well that sucks but it's passed the movie time so no refund, not sure why worker didn't do it but nothing can be done anymore" so they literally just robbed me of my money, didn't even offer to at least switch to a different time. read more

The theater is located outside of the mall next to BJ's Restaurant so it's not some small, cramped facility built into the confines of a mall. Nothing special was done with the décor. It has one of the more unappetizing smelling concessions. They run pre-show advertisements, but it wasn't annoying loud and in-your-face as many other theaters. The audience was quiet and well-behaved (no one got stabbed with a meat thermometer like in Lancaster). The $6.75 afternoon price was a steal compared to LA Westside venues and the parking was free to boot. It's a standard newer multiplex with steep stadium seats, oversized screens, and a multitude of screens (16). The auditorium I was in was on the small side - about 200 seats. The digital projection was clean and sharp. The surround volume was too high relative to the front left-center-right speakers. Too much sound bled-in from the neighboring screen. read more

I came to this movie theatre over Christmas week and found it to be pleasantly clean and friendly staff from the second we got our tickets until we left. There were a lot of people. But it seemed all the screen had a movie playing so there was enough empty seats to go around. Delicious popcorn and cold drink. What else can you ask for. read more

Went to watch Boss Baby earlier this year. Food was overpriced and line was long but I still enjoyed it.

So usually have no issues at this theater except they ran out of drink and popcorn bucket offer they have that are good for the entire year. On top of that, they have no backup plan in place, except a manager is going to get some and you can come back later and get them. No help to me now, since the whole reason I even buy popcorn and drinks when I come is because of that bucket. A lot of good the set will do me after the movie, and maybe not in the future either since they don't even know if they will have them later. By the way they if they do get them it will only be the smaller bucket set available. Its only the 3rd day of the new year and you're already out! So frustrating and upsetting. The staff was nice but could tell they were irritated by me asking all the questions and not having any good answers to solve the issue. read more

This was the worst theater I have ever attended. We bought our tickets one hour early and had to wait an hour inside the theater hall way waiting for the cleaning to get finished. I came to the manager and asked why and was told "because of the cleaning from the previous shows viewers leaving so much trash". I asked "why not have them bring their trash out with them" she just said "that is the way it has always been and I'm not going to ask my customers to take their trash with them". I explained that that's social responsibility. When you have to wait, understand it might be because of the lazy people that don't care about being responsible. read more

I never thought to write a review on the movie theater but my wife LOVES an employee and that's rare that she comments on someone's service. We've seen two movies in the past couple weeks and he's been there both times to serve us at the concession stand. Unfortunately we don't know his name at this time but I will find out asap. He's always in a very good mood, efficient and makes you smile. It's hard to find employees lately that actually act as if they love their job I just hope Cinemark takes care of him and doesn't ruin what a great employee they've found. He's the tall guy, african American, hair sticking out from under his Cinemark cap, who greets you with a smile. You can't miss him. read more

Worst movie experience ever. Came in to watch Southpaw with my family, when next thing you know we were visited by ticks or some kind of small insects. They were on the seats and crawled onto us. We told the floor workers, but they didn't seem to take the matter seriously. Never coming back. So unsanitary. read more

The staff here are incapable of accomplishing even minimum customer service standards. We were at the concession stand on May 13, at about 11:30 am. A long line formed behind us as the one young woman on duty could not figure out how to get the key into the lock on the refrigerated items. A second man was summoned, probably what passes as management here. He was able to get it open. After we presented out card to pay she struggled to process it and then loudly announced it had been declined. Our reply was that it was impossible knowing our AMEX Platinum was in good order. Then without retrying it the "manager" again loudly stated that it had been declined. The entire line behind us heard this, and it was terribly embarrassing. We paid with our atm card and spent the movie worrying about what was going on with our AMEX. A worried call to AMEX after the movie revealed that the clerk had not entered the security number properly and the terminal never declined our card but indicated a processing problem from the person conducting the operation. These two morons, probably unable to read or too lazy to care just passed it off as declined. Not only the clerk but "manager" as well are unable to process a simple transaction. I suggest Cinemark try to hire someone that can enter a number into a terminal and perhaps even read. It was so embarrassing being insulted by these two minimum wage fools. Hey Cinemark you are already robbing us at the concession stand. Do you have to insult us too? read more

Well it's the only one in West side of Palmdale. Although I still prefer Cinemark 22 (22 screens) because of the amount of movie selections and the food choices there are better like pizza, sandwiches, and scooped ice cream. This one I go to for convenience since I live like 5 mins away. read more

Haven't been to the Av Mall cinema in a few months. The new reserved seating system is terrible. Desirable seats are always sold out and there are fewer seats available. You have to get there at least 45 minutes before show time if you want to buy any snacks or drinks. They've gone to a single line system with fewer workers at the registers. This causes an extremely longer wait and occurs even on weekends. The lobby floor was covered in popcorn and trash like never before. read more

I've been here many times. It's the closest and I've never had a real issue. AND now they have reclining seats!!! Which is great (when they work) just our luck my daughter's didn't. Poor thing was so excited in showing me how cool they were. But overall the seat was still comfy. My issue is with the lack of customer service. First off there are four registers plus the self check tickets machine. Only 1 register was open and self machines were closed as well. (Mind you there was a staff member at the 2nd register but he was not open for business) He just watched the line grow long. We were there to watch Avengers Endgame so you know they expected a hugh turnout. I finally made it to the front of line. I picked my seats and computer system crashes. Now I can't have the seats I originally picked. Thank goodness there were 2 adjacent seats left. So after running my card AGAIN I'm able to purchase. Then... at the concessions counter. There are MANY registeres available like 8 at least and yet they are all closed. Only 2 were open. It wasn't that there wasn't enough staff because I saw plenty of employees behind the counter. Chatting, refilling cups, sweeping which is fine but once you see the line backing up the registers need to be open. We stood in line for 10 minutes without it moving with only 1 person ahead of us!! Thankfully we only missed some previews. The cleaniness has always been hit or miss here. Overall I suggest a more astute or go getter staff. It would make a world of difference. read more

Overall a pretty good theater. Lots of parking, game area for the kids, nice concession people. I agree it's not as fancy as the one in Lancaster for the same ticket price. We come several times a month. They do have a deal all day on Tuesday that makes the movies cheaper. read more

Great Theater. I saw Straight Outta Compton

I've seen many, many movies here and have loved every experience. The first trip was to see the Hunger Games and we were surprised to hear that the ticket taker would exchange our tickets for a later show if the one starting right when we got there was full. It was, and she changed our tickets without a hassle. The second trip was to see the Dark Knight Rises and we braced ourselves for the worst (though the movie had been out for a week or so). To our surprise, the theater was relatively empty. This time we got our tickets through Fandango and it was painless. The employees were great again and the movie was as well. I have no qualms coming back to this location. read more

Very nice theater, the screens are a good size, place is clean and new, they also have a small little arcade in the front lobby. prices are very good for matinee shows and parking is free no hassle, very cool when you compare it to theaters in Los Angeles where I'm from.
