My Mom already told me multiple times how different family owners spent time with her just talking with her. To me that's above and beyond the call of duty, and she loves it there. She instantly made new friends with both residents & staff. She'd text me all day about the excellent food & would video call me every night smiling, in tears over how much she felt cared for. Admin Toni Jones is warm, present, supportive and professional at every turn, and has truly created a home like environment at Gramercy Court with the highest standard of care. A big thank you to her staff, especially head nurse Joanne, who love & advocate for residents like they are family. The staff has been awesome! I still have zero complaints. I want to give thanks to the new administrator, Toni Jones for making some positive changes. One of the changes made was the parking situation. I work around the corner, and I see my mom every day on my break. In the past I would drive around trying to find a place to park and it would take up some of the time that I could be spending with my mom. Not anymore! The change that was made is the staff park elsewhere. Now visitors can find parking. Parking is no longer an issue. On 5/24, Toni had arranged a "pink and purple candlelight dinner" for the residents and their family members. It was amazing! The food was so good I had thought it was catered in. The dinner was made from their main kitchen. A lot of smiles that evening. What a thoughtful/meaningful event for the residence and their family. Attached are some pictures.

The quality of caregivers is a hit or miss. There were a few great caregivers and of the 10 or so that cared for my father 2 were worth the cost of care. They interacted with my father and cleaned during the 12 hours they were there. Other caretakers left the floor unswept and counters unwiped. Just some basic expectations when you pay almost $1000/day and leave all supplies out in the open for them to use. One caretaker, per a nurse calling from his doctors office, yelled at my father to come to the phone. That nurse, when we went in for his doctor's visit, questioned who was caring for my dad and suggested we look into potential elder abuse based on the way she interacted with my dad. The final straw that led me to cancel immediately (for which we paid dearly) was when my son went to check on my dad and the master bedroom smelled like feces, the sheet was not washed and the toilet not wiped down. That being said, the office staff are great. I interacted a lot via text, the most effective communication given the timely nature of our problems and the need to adjust caregivers. All of my bad experiences are documented via text, however give laws and the contract they are not accepted when trying to prove a claim. Word to the wise, ALWAYS cover yourself with email. Beware of the owner! Carrie is a great salesperson, but a ruthless business person who does not investigate problem situations within the company. Would love to know if ALL the workers are insured and bonded. Something else to keep in mind when hiring this company.

Obviously this caregiver was never trained properly on how to get an elder patient into the car. She fully did not safely put my mom in the car before she pulled her safety walker away in the trunk to turn around and let my mom fall under her car in the garage on hard concrete. She suffered from an open fracture in her ankle that was nearly twisted off her body along with a fractured femur, all of this leading up to a slow and extremely painful passing on hospice. I loose my mother but Chaimer still has a job just because she wanted to get in the car 30 minutes faster. Absolutely unacceptable. Disgusting this agency has unprofessional overpriced caregivers that only care about your money and not your precious priceless loved one. Absolutely nightmare for our family and poor mother traumatized for life.

Golden Moments is not only a safe and secure facility but also a very clean environment with a homey feel. Whether it's exercise circle, outdoor walks, or helping each resident with other activities of daily living, Golden Moments Care Home has been a bright light in an otherwise dreary experience (this is not our first care home / living facility experience). The administrator is detail-oriented, calm, professional, and keeps me and my family in the "know" about happenings at the home and about our loved one. She also helps support our family by attending appts and also scheduling non-medical appts. like hair cuts!
