I expected expertise, curiosity, and at minimum a willingness to engage in the conversation. Instead, the appointment felt dismissive. I was told only that it wasn't glaucoma--information I already had--and none of my actual concerns were addressed. Rather than digging deeper or offering guidance, I was pushed back toward my primary care doctor, leaving me stuck in the middle while no one takes ownership of the issue. On top of that, the interaction itself was handled rudely, which added unnecessary frustration to an already unproductive visit. I sincerely hope CEI invests in staying current with emerging medical topics, including how newer medications may impact eye health. Patients deserve providers who listen, collaborate, and lead--not ones who rely on outdated scripts and dismiss valid concerns. I came in for an acute eye problem and I could not possibly be happier with how I was treated and the attention to detail on the exam. 1) I was able to be squeezed in the same day due to the fact that I was having an acute issue that day. Dr. Joe stuck around when he was finished just to see me. 2) My eye exam was very thorough. 2 different tests were able to be completed in office to give me peace of mind. Dr. Joe took almost two hours of his time being very sure to rule out any serious issues. This meant a lot to me. 3) The staff was very friendly, professional. Certainly every visit doesn't warrant such an in depth appointment. However any doctor that would spend so long and stay late to me is a testament that they truly care about their patients. I'll be getting my next eye exam here and I would say that at least on the west side of Cincinnati Giovanetti has to be the best around.

The people there care about you, so you're more than a number. Today, I picked up lens for frames I already had (originally from America's Best). There was a glitch with the type I had. Chris showed it to me and explained how he was going to take care of it. He and Stacey were working on my glasses and when customers came in, they made sure to attend to them right away, while the other worked continuously on my glasses. That's the service I'm talking about. Service you really don't get any more from any store. I want to personally thank, Chris, Stacey, Cameron and the receptionist (I'm so sorry I didn't get her name) for always treating their customers with courtesy, a smile, professionalism and respect.
