Was a patient since 2021, four years of dental services. In those four years, I felt extorted. I would go for an annual check up and no matter the circumstances they were upselling a deep clean that insurance would not cover. It is what it is! The last straw was an extraction I had done October of 2025. It was an extraction of a poorly executed crown done a year and a half prior. The crown broke off and the nub needed extraction. During the extraction of said nub, the tooth next to it was broken. Mind you my mouth was numb, so I couldn't feel accurately with my tongue. I should have know something was going on when both the dentist and dental assistant with great haste, discharged me almost immediately. The front desk said that I owed nothing that insurance had overpaid from the last procedure, which mind you was over six months prior. A day later I contacted the office about the mishap with the broken tooth. Denial, diversion, and dishonesty was my treatment plan! This office has gone way down hill in a few years time. Please pay attention to the reviews ( which I didn't, much to my dismay). My husband decided to join me at the new dentist location that I recently went to myself. He went in for his first visit for a routine cleaning and came out with a receipt for $1,150.00 plus.....and yes we have dental insurance. My husband is 86 years old, very few cavities, brushes his teeth like no other and he was told he had bacteria in 13 places that needed treated. Mind you he has gone for regular dental cleanings most of his adult life every six months. I'm flabbergasted as to how he hasn't had issues with all the so called bacteria he supposedly had. Needless to say we will not be going back!! So the moral to my post....beware of them pushing procedures. Over the past two years Cincinnati Dental Services service has declined significantly. There must have been major change that has taken place with management and staff. My hygienist for over 7 years left the organization due to frustration with management and office procedures. There are new dentists that code procedures incorrectly to maximise profit. My procedure was a simple extraction and they coded it as a surgery procedure costing me an additional $220 in out of pocket costs. You can never reach anyone at the office on any of their lines they are closed on Fridays ?????. The office manager Rhonda, is extremely ruder and threatened me to pay my bill or she would gladly turn it over to collections. DO NOT go to Cincinnati Dental Services...any location. read more

this dentist office is not terrible, my only complaint would be that the front desk lady Sherry, is not always the friendliest. it would be nice to be greeted with some welcoming gestures since she's the first face you see when you walk in. Talking to her over the phone regarding an appointment as well and trying to explain something for her to just "okay" me before I'm even finished! I would guess that's not very professional and that many clients wouldn't like that. read more

Disclaimer-I am not a fan of the dentist, never have been. That being said, this was the FIRST visit since I was a child where I was relaxed with the hygenist and the dentist for the exam. They were gently, explained things, and was very thorough with the exam. I know I have work to do, but I don't feel like an idiot now. read more

I needed to find a new dentist for my husband and I due to our insurance switching. After scheduling mine months in advance , they called 2 weeks before and cancelled. Said "my hygienist who was going to see me was out of leave and I should find another place to go to" instead of trying to work me into the schedule for someone else. These people are a bunch or crooks. Went in for a routine cleaning. Was scheduled with me stating that I recently lost my job and was getting an appointment before my insurance ran out and that I was ONLY there to get a cleaning that is covered by my insurance. Go into my appointment and the hygienist is wanting to do X-rays and a deeper cleaning. I stated I have no money and I can't afford to pay for X-rays or anything extra. She said my insurance should cover it. I asked her if there was a way to check and she said yes and left the room for 15 mins. When she came back she said they looked up my insurance and it covers everything she is going to do. I asked her about a thousand times if she is sure and she said yes and eventually laughed because I was so stressed and asking too many times and she said "yes. If you there are issues we will take care of it." Well. Come to find out I am leaving the appointment and my copay which is usually 20 bucks is now magically 60. I freak out stating she said it would be the same. They went and got her and she apologized and said she didn't check the deductible but everything else would be covered. They did nothing to help out. So I had to call a family member to pay the amount over the phone. About a month later I get a bill in the mail for 90 bucks. Yep. So I call and they basically said they didn't do anything wrong. It's my insurance and I need to deal with it. I was crying over the phone because they are threatening to send the amount to attorney over it and I have no job and barely can buy food. And they don't care. We went back and forth and I kept saying "but your hygienist said this" and they said "well she may have said that but that's not what was charged." So bottom line they do not back up what they say. They do not help out their patients. And they can tell you anything and do anything without even a single speck or responsibility, ownership, empathy, or remorse. So this place is filled with terrible humans that just want your money. read more

To be clear this is for the Milford location which was not shown. These people are THIEVES.....I went there because a crown came off and my regular dentist was closed on that day. They quoted me like $120 or so and the billl was DOUBLE. What further compounded the situation was they never submitted my insurance info to the insurance company. When they finally did they did submit my insurance and they sent me a bill for $52 which I PAID. Now 5 months later they STILL keep sending me bills!! read more

This place is horrible, I've had nothing but bad experiences here, they didn't numb me completely and it hurt and the old dude who was the dentist wouldn't listen and kept going and my one tooth at a cavity in it and he butchered the tooth to where it was really cracked and then I broke later on and I couldn't eat on the right side of my mouth because of it and I went to another dentist who told me the cavity wasn't all the way out so he had to go in take out the old cavity and then put a crown it, I wouldn't ever recommend this place at all... read more

I went to Cincinnati Dental Services in August of 2012 for a basic cleaning. I checked with my insurance as well as the dental office to make sure that the services were considered in-network with my insurance plan. Both Anthem and Cincinnati Dental Services confirmed coverage. Over 1 month after the date of service, I received a letter from Cincinnati Dental Services that I owed over $200 for my visit. I called the office and left a message; I never received a call back. I called Anthem, and they confirmed coverage (again) and said that Cincinnati Dental Services had never filed a claim. I called the dental office again to ask them to file a claim, leaving another message and getting no reply. I finally get another bill from the dental office saying that insurance was pending. Then, I get a call from the office saying that my claim was denied. I again call Anthem, who says that Cincinnati Dental submitted the claim incorrectly. Anthem then calls the office directly to give them information about where to send the claim. Thinking the office would finally submit the claim directly, I was shocked to find another letter from Cincinnati Dental Services in my mailbox today threatening legal action if I do not pay my bill. My Anthem account shows that still, no claim has been filed by the dental office. Do NOT come here if you want a smooth billing process. read more

It pains me to write this, but I feel that I must speak the truth on my experience with this provider. The only reason I used this dental office was that my work had a DMO program and they were one of the few providers that were in the program. There are other reviews out there as Cincinnati Dental has offices all over Cincinnati. When I first read them, my guess is that they are paid shills. Just my opinion. My experience was with the Eastgate office and Fairfield. My general irritation lies in all the little things that CDS is inept at... which leads me to believe there may be larger problems as well that I don't see. First things first - a terrible place to take kids. They are not kid friendly in their attitude or general business practices. They will bring your child back for xrays/etc and will leave them in the chair for 30 minutes waiting for a hygienist. In general, the front office staff is not very welcoming. My wife's hygienist (who she repeatedly asked to have switched) was a "butcher"... she hacked and hacked until the gums were bleeding. Not a very pleasant personality either. The fact that my wife was not able to be switched (there again - inept front office staff) was irritating. The last little bit of inept service - my daughter was given a fluoride treatment. Apparently, the office was out of the "regular" treatment and had to give a special treatment to her. Well, being that it was a substition, we were not supposed to be charged. We were charged. My wife called 4 times, where the billing lady said "we'll take care of it." We continued to get a bill, every month. I sent a letter to dispute/have a written record. I just received a bill. Finally, just to be done with this d@#$ company, I'm writing a check. There again, how hard is it to "Do what you say you're going to do?" My general sense of things is that this business is trying to much to be a "Big" practice that lets litle things "slip between the cracks." It seems bureaucratic, where "that's not my department/problem" and you can never get anything accomplished! If this is the only provider that your dental program takes, all you need are cleanings, you have tough gums/high tolerance for pain and the dental insurance is cheap enough, I say "mehhh"... I guess it's better than nothing. But if you have a choice from multiple providers, I would avoid this place. read more

Their billing practices are dishonest. Having no dental insurance, we asked exactly how much the total bill would be for services discussed and planned. It is the policy of Cincinnati Dental Services to collect full payment for services rendered at the time of visit. Especially to those who are uninsured. Two visits, payment made in full both times of visit and told, you are paid in full. A month or so later, receive a bill from Cincinnati Dental Services. Hmmm, how could there be a bill when I paid in full at the time of service? Oh, apparently they forgot to add this or that at the time of service and later added on additional charges. This is dishonest or fraudulent, pick your terminology. We will never go there again. You pay in full and then receive a bill. I called billing and they just gave the run around, over and over. Never again. I would not recommend this place due to its deceptive billing practices. read more

The quality of care at the Eastgate office is good but completely overshadowed but the terrible billing experiences I've had. There is no follow up or communication, I've been addressing a bill for nearly 2 years without resolution and was just sent to a collection agency! My family have been customers for years but will never return due to the complete lack of customer service from the billing staff. read more

The doctors n staff here r very good. Their charges n treatment are reasonable and they are courteous and professional. They are the best of the three dentists I tried over 10 years, on the east side of Cincy. read more
