The good:

Spicy
Cheap
The bad:
Service
Cold burger bun
Small portions
Detailed version:
I ordered the burger menu, which comes with a cigkofte portion as a burger, plus a side (like a little fried potato thing), and a drink (I got a bottled water. I should have tried something interesting. Next time.) The burger bun was cold, so that was weird. But the food in between the buns was tasty: cigkofte, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and flat leaf parsley. The guy asked if I wanted it spicy and I said "very spicy" so I was pleasantly surprised that there was a little kick to it. The little fried potato thing was tasty too. I would have eaten more of those. To clarify: it wasn't a fried potato. It was a potato & spice mixture inside a crispy, fried shell. Yum.
There were two guys working there. One was helpful but he had a headphone in his ear the entire time I was there, which seemed a little rude. He did explain some things to me in broken English, which was helpful. The other guy barely looked at or spoke to me at all, except to take my money. Neither of them smiled the whole time. It was not the most pleasant experience. I guess when you're eating a 4 euro meal in Lyon, this is the kind of service you can expect.
In short, I would probably eat there again, but I would order "to go" next time so I wouldn't have to sit in their tiny eating area watching terrible music videos on their loud TV. Also I would probably try something that wasn't the burger, like the sandwich or the actual funny shaped cigkofte portions. Possibly a review update will be impending. read more
