Higher Education are criminals who are damaging the name of an American Company, Cali Crusher, as well as trust in local businesses. I brought the clean and unused grinder back into Higher Education, along with the receipt, and proof that it was a knockoff. The Owner's reply after acknowledging that it was fake grinder was: "No returns. No returns, no exceptions. Do you want me to keep repeating myself?" This is the most unprofessional and disgusting way of doing business I've seen from a RVA proprietor outside of Seibert's Towing. Selling cheaply made knockoff goods for premium price of $70 and refusing to accept returns is simply criminal. The Owner has made this practice his policy, and for that reason Higher Education does not deserve your business. PS: The Grinder is fake because: 1) It visibly doesn't have Cali Crusher's patented 4-Way Quick Lock System. it just has regular cheap metal threading 2) It doesn't have the crossbar supports beneath the screen. 3) It has a cheap plastic pollen scraper, instead of Cali Crusher's signature guitar pick shape.

The associate even admitted it was his fault for selling me the wrong size, but his manager wouldn't let him do the obvious decent thing--which was exchange it. I mean seriously, what the heck is that? When I called the manager myself, she wouldn't even hear me out, just saying "no refunds" and "you should have read the signs before buying something." Totally not how the law works, much less basic retail service. I seriously hope that $85 one-time sale was worth losing a repeat customer and pissing off a neighbor.

It was for my vape. Basically I was told I couldn't buy anything until my husband showed back up with his ID. Trash. We have been loyal customers for several years now. Never again. I have friends that go there and I'll be turning them to a new store too. I am almost 30 years old with a valid ID. I've been doing hard labor for the last 8 hours and I shouldn't have to drive home and drive back. So I won't. Ever. So thanks for chasing off regulars who spend hundreds at your store. Not only will uncle Mikey help you pick some out and answer all your questions, cigar related or not, but if you have the time he doesn't mine you grabbing a seat and smoking one or two with you. Great shop with some great patrons who are always ready to smoke one with you or give you their opinion on cigars or the what-haps of the world.
