I'd give this place a 0 if I could. Went in here with 15 guys and told we couldn't smoke there unless we paid $500 you use the lounge. Planned on buying a $300 box, but owner said we could only smoke in the lounge if we bought four boxes. At this point I may have said a swear word in response to this ridiculous notion. 4 boxes of cigars at $200-400 per box, just to smoke a cigar there. The owner then got aggressive and followed us out side. Worst smoke shop I've ever been to. Most unfriendly owner I've ever met. This shop charges $25 for $10 cigars, but doesn't have a lounge? I've never been to a shop that charges you to smoke a cigar that you bought there. I honestly can't believe anybody supports this shop. There is not another smoke shop in the greater Cleveland area that charges you to smoke a cigar in their lounge when you buy a cigar there. As a matter of fact, I've never been to a cigar shop that charges you a sitting fee to smoke a cigar there, that you purchases there, and I've been to probably 100 others. The boutique cigar shop business only survives by accommodating its patrons, because it's well know that you could buy any of these cigars from online retailers at a fraction of the cost you can at a cigar shop. There are several other shops that are successful at this. I've been to almost every other shop in the area....cousins, royal ten, Havana house, a perfect ash...to name a few. Every one of these shops ha a significantly larger and better cigar selection. Every one of these shops is more than happy to accommodate a large group and not one of them charges you a fee to smoke a cigar there, as long as you purchase it there. Yes we did come to the shop an hour before closing and did not call ahead, but the lounge was empty and we did not ask them to stay open late. We would have made sure to be out by closing time. I belong to a pretty large cigar club in the area and will make sure nobody from the club goes to this place. I have talked to several of them about this already and any of them that have been to this shop before knew about the ridiculous sitting fee and told me they wouldn't go back to this place after their individual experiences here. I am a frequent cigar smoker, I usually frequent the cousins Cigar in Avon Ohio. All I can say about this location of cigars cigars in Ohio city, is that they had a horrible selection of cigars, their prices were ridiculous, and their lounge upstairs was beat up old and decrepit. I would not recommend going to this place at all. Just so you know how expensive they are, I can get a Padron 1964 Diplomatico Maduro for around 16 dollars a stick at Cousins in Avon. You won't find a better cigar shop in the downtown area. Good selection, great smoking lounge, and incredible service. I've been to other stores with a bigger selection, but the service and atmosphere here is head and shoulders above the rest. I've been going here periodically for the past few years, and the guys behind the counter keep track of what repeat customers buy, and will recommend cigars that you'll like. The lounge is BYOB, and you'll often find a few people up there that will bring you right into the conversation and make you feel at home. New in town and always looking for a place to grab a great cigar. Did a quick search and found this shop in my backyard. Decent selection that seems to be ever changing (been shopping here for 2 months and they seem to rotate their stock with new releases and classic standards). Coolest thing is their lounge - spacious, the ideal place to get some work done on a weekday afternoon. I usually buy 2-3 sticks and spend a couple hours puffing away up there. We initially stopped by the Rocky River location, but were cajoled - yeah, that's the right word - by the proprietor there that with only 45mins till closing, we'd be better off driving the 10mi to the Ohio City location, which is open later. There is metered parking on Lorain Ave, but we circled around to the northeast and parked in the pay lot on W. 26th St. (we might of been able to find street parking on W. 28th, but there was practice going on at the school there). Rocky had clued us in that we'd need to buy beer to take upstairs to the lounge next door, at what turns out is the Torch Supper Club, but it's the bar right next door. They had quite a selection, and we spirited our haul of IPA's back to the lounge. They have a quite good selection in the humidors, but I went went with two standard favorites: AF Double Chateau Maduro & Rocky Patel The Edge. The lounge upstairs had emptied out by this time, and we had the whole spacious area to ourselves. Comfortable seating, if a little dated (the bathrooms are even older, but clean & serviceable). There was a big screen TV, and ceiling fans + good ventilation. Ohio City proprietor was knowledgeable and mostly friendly, he'd been tipped off we were coming by Rocky, so by this time we were more than famous: we were infamous. By the time we left, Rocky was there, and wanted to talk politics, and we indulged for a bit. All in all, if you're looking for a stogie in the Ohio City area, yeah, sure, stop in and pick up a stick. Grab a beer from Torch before ya go in, and don't let the screen door hit ya in the butt on the way out! read more

If you are in the area I suppose you could stop in and see if they had a cigar you would smoke - at a price you are willing to pay. But otherwise I found this place to be over priced and not so well stocked. I paid $18 for a Camacho triple maduro which was about $5 too much. Half of their stock I never heard of. Like the Camacho, those smokes that I did know were all prices MUCH higher than other cigar stores I have reviewed here in Cleveland. and lastly, I didnt get to use the lounge upstairs because I only spent $18 on a cigar and not the $30 that gets you into the $5 lounge for free. This place is BYOB, BUT since you have to pay either a membership fee or a very high single-time fee to even sit in the lounge, it's basically not worth mentioning. The cigars were over priced, but I'm only a casual cigar smoker, so take that with a grain of salt. The guy working the store was very helpful in finding good cigar for my tastes. I enjoyed the Avo Uvezian and my friend had a Eiroa. Great looking store in a great location, but a cigar store where you don't have free seating is basically not worth going to. This is the first time I've ever experienced this, so it was quite a disappointment and a surprise to hear. I probably won't be back here again. read more

Good selection of cigars. Helpful staff. Really nice and spacious smoking room. But since I don't agree with the sexist nature of this store's advertisements, I won't shop here anymore. I thought this wasn't going to be an issue after having a discussion with the part-owner of this shop. He said that they had received negative pushback from the community about some of their racier radio advertisements and that future ads would be focusing on community events involving cigars instead of attempting to elicit humor through sexist jokes. But then I received an email advertising their "Snowpocalyse" sale which had a picture of a naked woman on her knees with a strategically placed fur rug, pressing snow to her breasts and holding a phallic-looking thermometer. After that, I decided I won't purchase cigars at this store or attend any more of their events. read more

This place is actually quite comical. It's a decently large, 2 floor establishment with good decor in a high rent district. However, the most important part is very disappointing...the cigars. Roughly 2 small sized humidor cabinets filled with insanely overpriced cigars you either have never heard of and if so, probably have no desire to smoke. I stopped in and the associate wasn't very knowledgable in my opinion and tried pitching me on a brand which "they only made 500 boxes of". Well with the poor selection I had to choose from I thought I'd buy a stick. For never hearing of the cigar before, my hunch was right, it was terrible. With all of that being said, stay away. Slim and poor selection of stogies outrageously priced. I have seen better selections at your local beer distributors than here. On top of all that, they charge you to smoke upstairs. How this place is still in business is beyond me. I recently have moved here and apparently this place is one of if not THE premier cigar stores in the Cleveland area. Must be a rough market for cigars in Cleveland :( . Their Rocky River location is just as bad. My 2 cents... Don't waste your time and someone needs some advice in cigar 101. read more

This place is great for a smoke and watching the Browns game. I showed my room key and was invited to stay and smoke in there lounge and they even waived the fee to smoke upstairs. Selection was huge and price was fair look forward to going again. read more

I attended a Cigar Cigars event with a friend at Townhall and had a great time. The Black Market cigar was delicious and paired surprisingly well with the New Holland Dragon's Milk we were drinking (I was hesitant about attending a cigar/beer pairing cause I'm more of a scotch girl myself, but now I'm a believer). I'm also really glad that they've stopped airing the "funny" radio commercials about nagging wives and are focusing more on having community events. I'm looking forward to visiting the second floor cigar lounge with some of my friends. read more

Came to the Center Ridge Road location based on a recommendation from a stranger at a bar. I've never been to a cigar shop and the 2 gentleman who helped me were amazing! So patient and knowledgable! They got me set up with 2 cigars that would pair nicely with some IPAs, a cutter, and some matches for just barely over $15. They let me check out the lounge - which is free for ladies! Overall a great experience and I will definitely be back! read more
