If I could give a zero star I would. I lived in one of their duplexes for two years. When my lease…read morewas coming up I looked for a new place and found a house that better suited my needs. When it came to Harrell being cooperative with me or the new leasing company, it was awful. They were rude and short and would not help me with any documentation I needed for the new leasing company. Thank goodness the new company accepted screen shots. Now, on to the move out process with Harrell. I followed all move out instructions and requirements to the letter. I also got my carpets professionally cleaned and deep cleaned my unit and appliances over three days. Per my lease, I paid $1000 security deposit, $400 in pet deposits, and $65 for my garage remote... again per the lease, all refundable. I'm not the best at math, but that adds up to $1465.00. Knowing this, why did Harrell say that the deposit amount was $1315.00? That didn't add up. On top of that, they took $583.43 from the $1315.00 deposit. They cited $354.38 for painting and $91 for cleaning! I have never not gotten my full deposit back and couldn't believe what they took. They also cited things that were not accurate such as missing bulbs and a smoke alarm battery. All of my bulbs were working and none of my alarms were beeping when I left the unit. I don't even care about the little stuff though. I just can't get how they charged me for painting and cleaning. I will never use them for anything ever again.

It is well-lit at night and has plenty of sidewalks to walk around on. It is conveniently located close to I-35 and several places to shop, gas stations, etc. Maintenance and staff have been helpful, friendly and timely. Pests are a problem here in the south. If your apartment has a pest problem (like ants), they will have a company come spray your apartment. Lots of other random acts of kindness like free Chick-fil-A breakfast too! The apartments themselves are beautiful. Hands down the best looking apartment I've ever had. I have one with a nook instead of a patio and I'm so thankful for the option of extra sq. footage! The apartment is already painted with great colors. Normally, this is something I would do myself so it's nice to have it already done. Fireplaces mantles are also a pretty color. The windows are tall and have ledges for my cat to sit on/sunbathe. I think third floor apartments have cathedral ceilings which make it feel bigger. I love all of the storage available. There is ample storage in the bathrooms so they knocked it out of the park here. Normally I need extra cabinets/drawers. The pantry in the one bedroom kitchens is huge as well and the kitchen has a built in microwave. Love being able to have a washer/dryer in the apartment too. Minor room for improvement: It's currently above 90 degrees outside and they've closed the pool down for the season. Granted, I'm not from Texas so this could be typical but I think 90 degrees is plenty warm enough for swimming. Could they add some recycling dumpsters where people can put their recyclables? It's 2017, why doesn't everyone recycle? There also aren't any elevators (really only a con when you're moving in/out). Possibly supply a washer/dryer for the units instead of renting them out. I hope this review helps!

I texted Malisa back ten minutes later "do you have an eta of when it will be fixed? it's been almost 36 hours and we have pets" She said back to me: "When they get the parts" I said, naturally: "do you know when that will be?" She says: "Could be a week" This is when I grow agitated: "that is unacceptable. you cannot expect us to live without air conditioning for a week. please have some empathy" Her response: "I am not in control of ac people or part ordering we did our part called in service request unfortunately you have to wait" I asked her: "can you get us a window unit?" Her response? "In the state of Texas I am required to provide heat not ac" I texted Chantel at 10:03 AM "do you have an eta of when our a/c will be fixed? it's been almost 36 hours and we have pets". No response. I called On Point again at 10:54 AM on Thursday, July 20th but they still had no updates for me, simply telling me that the delivery truck still had not arrived but that she is sure that it will still be fixed at some point today, July 20th. I then get a text from Malisa saying "Do not call the ac people and bug them. They do not answer to you they answer to me and we are working on getting issue fixed. I will let you know when they will be out to repair. Btw you need to refresh yourself on the pet policy. I don't care what it is if it is not on the lease you are in violation of your lease." My response was "I called and Spoke with Chantel two weeks [sic] and she said you told her to tell me to bring the pet fee with next month's rent *two weeks ago" and then I sent her a screenshot of the text message I sent Chantel on Friday, July 14th at 11:39AM reminding her of that conversation. Ms. Spivey: "You will need to update the pet agreement so no you just can't add to rent. Let me know you will be in on the first to update forms" I replied: "I will be in on the first" and she said "You can bring with rent but you both will need to initial changes" and I said "okay I will let [redacted] know, thank you" I then asked her "the a/c people are saying it will be fixed today so I'm wondering why you said it would be a week?" (see above where she says "Could be a week") Her response was to send a screenshot of our own conversation we were having just a few hours ago and then says "I said could be a week. I'm not in charge of their schedule. They said it should be in today but they don't know if it will be in delivery truck. I'm being realistic with you" I replied: "I've had two nights without any sleep and am not in a very good mood and am not going to discuss this any further. I will be in on the first with my $750 rent and $500 pet fees" Her response? "Good glad you understand now" I am unsure of what else I can do on my part. When I call On Point, they call my landlord and complain that I'm "bugging" them. When I talk to my landlord, she says "in the state of Texas I am required to provide heat not ac." I am now trying to fall asleep for the third night in a row without air conditioning and am at a loss. The only thing I know is that I hope this experience doesn't happen to anyone else, and the only way I know for sure that this won't happen is if you choose to rent elsewhere.
