Having a pizza place on La Esperanza is a nice addition to the restaurant scene here. The service was great, very attentive and explained the concept well. Drinks are pretty commiserate with other establishments. The pizza is $22 for a large pie. We ordered Two margaritas with added sausage, one Hawaiian with added mushroom and one double pepperoni. We shared a Greek salad, which was fresh and large enough for 4. The ham on my Hawaiian was cut so small to nearly be non existent. And there was very little sausage ass an add on to the margarita pizzas. Flavor was good. I would definitely give them a second try.

I mean this with all respect, but this food was some of the worst I've ever had eating out. I would…read moreeat the pizza again and it was nice to sit outside, but I would avoid everything else. Summary is below: Pros: - The atmosphere was quaint and it nice outside - Pizza was ok (on par to a bit worse than competing frozen pizzas) and a good portion - Wait staff was hustling and they deserve more help - Diet coke came from the can Cons: - Nothing was fresh and all of it was poor quality - Phone went straight to voicemail when I called to place a takeout order, so we needed up eating there - Service was understaffed (there were two waitress for the full restaurant and one chef) - Long wait to be seated even though there were ample open seats - Long wait for food/drink since there was one chef - Greek Salad: Edible and I didn't get sick after, but the lettuce was wilted and the ingredients were equivalent to bottom shelf of a grocery store - Pepperoni Pizza: Ingredients were awful, cheap pepperoni, cheap jarred sauce, cheap pre-shredded cheese - Marinara Pasta with Sausage: Store bought pasta and the same bad sauce that was on the pizza. The sausage was uninspiring as well. This was borderline inedible - Focaccia: again this was the cheapest store bought option - Price: very expensive for what was cheap, frozen (not fresh) food; any ok home cook would prepare a better meal with the same ingredients

The ambiance is nice - it is a bit dark so hard to tell. I am surprised such a good quality food option has gone unnoticed with very few reviews here. It is such a solid choice - 3 minutes walk from the Vieques ferry terminal. They do charge for water (they provided water bottles only - but given other menu prices are reasonable, we were fine with that). We had pasta and salad and those worked out great.

Feels like a family-owned restaurant with excellent service, food, and drinks. We weren't planning…read moreon going Italian on Vieques, but this turned out to be a surprisingly good choice. They have a standard menu of appetizers, pasta, main dishes, and pizza, with some seasonal dishes thrown in the mix. They have a good flow of customers, and it's an island, so some ingredients run out. Make an early reservation for the most options, but you'll enjoy even if they're out of some. Four of us shared two starters, both traditional, one meat and cheese, the other roasted vegetables, both delicious. The balsamic was strong without overpowering the quality of the food, and the quality of the vegetables was especially good considering the challenge of getting fresh foodstuffs here. The roasted garlic with the vegetables rounded out the flavors. All pasta and main dishes were large and could have (should have!) been shared. Pasta was perfectly cooked, not too soft, not too hard. It held it's shape and had a good mouth feel. They didn't overuse oil to keep the noodles from sticking, and they've definitely worked out the challenges of cooking and keeping pasta in that humidity. They have a selection of house flavored martinis made with fresh fruit. These were also delicious - and strong! Make sure you're hydrated and have a designated driver if you're having more than one. While it may seem odd to go for Italian while on Vieques, it's well worth it, just make sure you get a reservation! This place fills up!
