Seating for entertainment

Attended an evening performance of a friend, was delighted with the comfortable garden, like ambience of cider and cedar. They had a wonderful selection of ciders, delicious appetizers, and comfortable chairs, and tables. Outdoor seating was equally wonderful... the service was friendly, accommodating and personalized. Even though we come from 30 miles south of Tacoma-this is a place worthy of the drive!

If you love plants, or cider, or great staff - you're in for a treat because they have all three at Cider and Cedar! The atmosphere is welcoming, calming (the wood working is out of this world!) and the service was great! For reference, I enjoyed a little outside show of a local band (Sweet Marilyn) and it was the perfect way to spend a Friday night. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Great location for cider and bar bites! We enjoyed a couple of ciders in a cozy location on the couches and also ordered several apps. It was great ambiance and service was top notch. The food was excellent as was the cider!

Cedar and cider is a cider focused bar in downtown Tacoma. They have around 10 different ciders on tap as well as some local beers. The bar is nicely decorated with beautiful wooden pieces as a play on their name. The vibe is really friendly and upscale. Probably a place geared more towards people 30+ I went here with my wife for a drink and we both really enjoyed the friendly and quick service as well as the chill atmosphere. We will definitely be back. If you like cider this is a great one to check out!

Such an amazing vibe for a chill laid back evening or sate night!! The decor was everything and the ciders were even better. One of the coolest bars I've been too in Tacoma. Loved the recycled polished wood. It was a great earthy theme. I'd highly recommend!

The salvaged wood from the Hoh rainforest looks so cool and is used well in this space. My friends and I went on a night they had live music, which was fun. We enjoyed the bao and most of the ciders in our cider flights. The owners were very nice.

Great new addition to Tacoma! We shared a flight and enjoyed it. Loved the seafood truck that was featured on opening night. Pesto clams were the way to. Service was friendly, the ambiance was popping as it was packed for grand opening weekend. Can't wait to see this place thrive and bring yet another wonderful place to hangout, eat & drink to Tacoma! Also the Decor of the place is worth seeing even if you don't like ciders! It's beautiful inside & I see why this place took as long as it did to open. All the cedar inside is GORGEOUS. Wow

Stopped in here randomly while out and about. I did not expect to be walking into my new favorite place. EVERYTHING was awesome. The cider The customer service The food! The ambiance! The owners opened 1.5 years ago and most of the decor is procured/recycled from their old property. There is a 1000 year old tree! Come! Bring your friends and support this small business!

The sweetest spot! The owners make it a point to be intentional and thorough; every person in the room and it shows. The ambiance, the cider, and the vibe are unparalleled in this space. Come visit as soon as you can and thank me later.

I'm kicking myself for not going to Locust before my last day in Gig Harbor! It's hidden away…read morebehind the Gig Harbor Inn. First of all, the property is huge with various areas to hang out in. There's an indoor space downstairs, and upstairs space with a bar and video games, uncovered and covered outdoor patio areas with equipment for live musicians, and a little forested enclave with seating and a fireplace. Beyond their awesome ambiance, their ciders were all varied and delicious. They have 26 taps to choose from. We tried a bunch of their 4oz pours. My favorites turned out to be (surprisingly) their seasonal Chai and their Honey Pear, but each one that I tasted was unique and flavorful. I felt the intentionality in each one. They have a full food menu that includes gluten free tater tots and chicken nuggets. Service was awesome, by the way. Two of the kegs we wanted to try had blown, so the bartender brought us a few extra pours for having to wait. I'm super bummed that I never made it back for a second visit. I implore you to try this place if you haven't!

They always give options, their thoughts on mixes and even a sample before they pour your glass. I have to say I have my favorites, can't say enough great things about Transfusion when it is on tap, along with Black Cherry and CinfulCran. My go to is always Juicy Peach and Vanilla (always on tap). Second, the food they have rolled out next door is AMAZING! Love the pizza and tots! I heard they might have cauliflower wings here soon?? So excited! They are super careful when a vegetarian orders as well and makes sure there is no cross contamination of meat. Thank You! Third, gotta love the trivia on Wednesday and the Bingo on some Fridays. Drag Bingo is a must for sure! Check out when they have live music as well that is always great. Especially if you can get a seat in the tree grove. Locust is a great spot to chill, have fun, hang in the arcade, eat, and most of all have a yummy drink while doing it!

They allow you to stroll through their orchard rows at your leisure. There isn't much there for entertainment, but it's an open area that serves cider, you can bring your own snacks and games, music etc. My kids really enjoyed chasing the bullfrogs by the pond. I had sort of assumed that the kids would get bored quickly and we would leave right away. But they were so entertained playing in nature that I couldn't get them to leave for hours, which made for a relaxing afternoon for me and my wife as we sipped cider and watched them play. The cider itself is some of the best I've ever had. I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur and I would rank dragon head as my top cider in the state.

We were warmly greeted and though our hostess was new, she did a wonderful job taking care of our large group of 12. Everything ran smoothly and she was great at keeping track of our progress. We learned more about the cider process and where they get their apples from. We really liked the port-like Pommeau and got a bottle of that at the end to share. They have a beautiful orchard that you can walk around in as well. Some nice seating areas scattered about or bring a picnic blanket. No food but maybe some snacks for purchase. We just came from lunch in town so I wasn't looking for snacks while I was there. I saw some people who looked like they brought their own picnic/food to enjoy there. No restroom on site but a porta-potty.

Granted it is more on the snack type fare as opposed to a meal but I knew I had to try it. Their other tasting room at the orchard doesn't do this so I knew to make this a priority to go here. I have previously loved their ciders and I knew the food would be good too. And indeed it did not disappoint at all. We got Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs and some Pumpkin Donuts. Both were phenomenal. The snack menu in general looked really creative and unique but the eggs is what won us over. And the donuts. The food was extremely fresh and very flavorful. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. The Deviled Eggs were lovely and the Pumpkin Donuts had a layer of filling and were presented kind of like a sandwich but they didn't last long and were delicious. The cider is of course as good as it ever has been. I got a Wild Fermented Cider that had a great and intriguing after taste to it. It had a dry, tart, apple and clean flavor characteristics to it along with a nice ring with the fermented aspect at the end of each sip. The cider is nice and light bodied also. What a great stop this was... not that I was expecting anything different but a five star experience all the way!
