A massive tray of mac & cheese, golden fried chicken, barbecue chicken, and pulled pork that looked like it had been tended with care. Oh, my. Off to the side sat squeeze bottles of sauce and ketchup, flanked by potato salad, cole slaw, and two varieties of pickles that added a crisp counterpoint to the richness of the meats. I ate far more than I intended, but every bite was worth it. The mac & cheese was excellent, very cheesy and full of flavor. Maybe not quite as good as when Mrs. K. blesses me with her recipe, but still, excellent. The barbecue chicken was moist and seasoned just right. The pulled pork was some of the best I have had, with a few larger pieces mixed in that gave it texture and depth. It was so good it really didn't need any sauce at all.
