Let me start by saying this is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is spectacular, and I've…read morenever had a bad experience here. But I have to say something about this ridiculous breakfast/lunch system. We sat down at 10:22 this morning. Our server tells us we have 8 minutes to order breakfast because at 10:30 they stop serving breakfast. Okay, no problem. So naturally I say, "Alright, we'll just order lunch." Nope. Apparently she can't put in a lunch order until 11:00. So from 10:30 to 11:00, we're just supposed to sit there and stare at each other. Seriously, what is this system? I'm sitting in a restaurant at 10:30 in the morning, hungry, surrounded by food, and apparently there is a 30-minute period where I am not legally allowed to order anything. It's 2026. We have AI, self-driving cars, phones that can translate languages in real time, and refrigerators that can tell us when we're out of milk. But Town Square Social apparently has a computer system that says: 10:29: "Would you like breakfast?" 10:30: "Absolutely not." 10:31: "Can I order lunch?" 10:31: "Don't get crazy." 11:00: "Okay, now you may eat." Again, I LOVE this place. The food is fantastic. This isn't a knock on the staff or the restaurant itself. But somebody needs to fix this stupid system. If I sit down at 10:22 and decide at 10:42 that I want lunch, I feel like we should have evolved enough as a society to make that happen. Until then, I guess I'll just stare at my wife for 30 minutes and contemplate my life choices. Great food. Great place. Absolutely ridiculous system.

I ordered the "garlic cheese bread" because the website showed it being garlic bread with a dusting of cheese. Instead it looks much more like the "cheese breadsticks" that I didn't order. When I brought this up to the worker, he got defensive, told me I was wrong, and that garlic bread does not come with cheese. I asked him if what I got looked at all like the picture of what I ordered. We went back and forth for a few minutes then he offered to remake it. At that point, I was frustrated with his attitude and had seen him picking his nose in the back when we were walking in, so was disinterested in a remake. Yikes.

One of my favorite restaurants growing up was this family Italian joint called Carmine's. My…read morefavorite thing to order there was what they called spaghetti with meatballs. But, speaking to that, it had a couple of intersting aspects. One, they would literally give you 10-20% more if you ordered that dish to go because their to-go containers when filled were noticeably larger than the dishes your entrees came on. And, two, their "spaghetti" was actually linguine and is 100% the reason linguine is my favorite noodle when it comes to traditional rope pasta. I told you that to tell you this, Fayzano's "linguine" is definitely fettuccine. Those noodles were super wide. Not that that's a huge deal, but much like getting linguine when you're expecting spaghetti, the mouth feel for fettuccine is not the same as the mouth feel for linguine. It holds the sauce different, it retains the clams different, and the proportion of sauce to pasta is super different. I mean--it was good. Clams in red sauce will always be my preferred go-to order, but I still would've rather had the skinnier flat noodles of a linguine than a super wide fettuccine noodle. It's just more satisfying to me. The service here was good. They got our food quickly and with minimum banter. And then they got out of the way, checking in maybe every five to ten minutes, which is the perfect amount. The ambiance was good. It's a good neighborhood pizza and pasta joint like Carmine's. It's not very big but it has a lot of spacing between the tables as not to feel cramped up in there. It's also deceptively laid out to feel fuller than it is, which is nice. It gives the whole place a nice energy. I still wish thru had real linguine, but if that's my chief complaint then you know this place is doing something right.

The salad bar got refreshed and I actually built a decent salad with lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers, pickles, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, and croutons. They had ranch, thousand island, creamy Italian dressings. They had bread sticks, they had their baked pasta, I think that they had their cinnamon sticks but one table took the entire pan to their table. As for pizza they had thin crust, hand tossed and pan pizza. In all honesty I only got a piece of Hawaiian hand tossed, cheese deep dish, and green peppers, onions and sausage thin crust, and a bread stick. But what I had was good. They had a television on but they had the sound down and the close caption on. So you could hear the conversation going on at your table. The buffet was clean for the influx of patrons. All in all it was a good lunch, and the employees were extremely polite and friendly especially with the mad rush going on.
