I was referred to this place because the original one was out of network for some work I had to get done. I went for a consultation at their other location on Bandera and was given an outline of the treatment. It took two months for this office to get me an appointment. I had to place a 100 deposit, which they tried to keep. Then I paid in full over 2k for the procedure. They told me they would file a claim and I would receive some reimbursement. I have never been so terrified to the point I almost walked out. The doctor was so heavy handed that I started to get anxiety. I felt like I was being stabbed to the point of exhaustion. I get that that had to numb me but he could have been more gentle about it. Once the procedure was over they sent my medication to the wrong pharmacy and was told they would have to call to resubmit it. Luckily my husband called while in the waiting area because getting ahold of anyone can be nearly impossible. They took 30 days to process my claim with my insurance. Then they submitted things wrong. They don't communicate with their other office at all so don't even bother. I followed up with him which that part was okay. Mind you it was less invasive. On my last follow-up they wanted to schedule me for a cleaning. I told them I already have a provider I see that I absolutely love. They insisted and I felt pressured to scheduled the appointment. I did but call back to cancel it. They continued to try to get me to reschedule and asked me the reason for my cancellation. I continued to reiterate to cancel the appointment. The office is not only rude but very disorganized. I don't feel like your care is their priority but rather the money they can suck out of you. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. I would not recommend this office or doctor. Although the doctor seems very knowledgeable and pleasant he is too harsh in his bedside manners of approach. You've been warned.

First the older lady couldn't get them out due to not having enough strength and I had to assist her pulling them out with one hand. It took her a very long time and I was getting worry but I was worried about her as well because she ended up hurting one of her fingers. After everything was done, she told me everything was good. Well, it wasn't! Four years later, I started having pain and inflammation on my left lower back side of my mouth. Went to 7 to 7 for a regular routine and I was told that I still had partial wisdom teeth (#17) that was getting the left back inflamed and causing swollen and pain! Went back to Urban Dental and explained everything to the older lady dentist and instead of doing the right thing (removed the remaining wisdom teeth without cost, she wanted me to see someone else. She charged my insurance the full amount as if she took all of my wisdom teeth out, when she in fact didn't! I'm still trying to figure out whether to seek legal action against her and her business. I'm meeting a lawyer soon to see what are my choices. Long story short-Save yourself from the headaches, pain, and fraud. Do NOT come to this place!

What a way to put a damper in the holidays. Not having a regular dentist here in New Braunfels, raised my pucker factor as well. Luckily, my daughter had a regular dentist, and the wife recommended Rivercrest Family Dental. The wife made me an appointment, with the soonest appointment being six days later. Thank goodness I was not in severe pain. I showed up on the day of my appointment about thirty minutes early. I was greeted upon entry and asked for my driver's license and had my photo taken for the file. I had filled the paperwork online the night prior, so no lengthy forms were required before I was seen. The nice lady behind the desk told me to have a seat and told me that it would be a while since I was very early. As promised, I was called back right at my appointment time and was placed in the seat. The receptionist told me the dental assistant and Dr. Barber would be with me shortly. Shortly thereafter, a nice young lady (sorry, I am terrible with names) greeted me and went over some of the basic medical questions. Lunch break came, so then the nice young lady handed the torch over to another nice lady to take good care of me. She outfitted me with a bib, and put a lead jacket on me. Took some X-rays of my chipped tooth, then went to consult with Dr. Barber. She was very nice and we made small talk whilst we waited for the doc. Dr. Barber came in and evaluated my x-ray. He looked in my mouth and told the dental assistant a bunch of medical terms and jargon. He then gave me the low down in layman's terms. Said I would need filings, and he could fit me in quick before his next consult. He told me another assistant would be in shortly to give me the break down of the costs, and numbed me up. The assistant came in shortly thereafter and gave me the breakdown. Was up front about what the costs were, and how much my insurance would cover. I assessed the costs, and gave them the thumbs up. I could not talk as my mouth was all numb. Dr. Barber and the assistant went right to work. Dr. Barber kept me informed the whole time, told me what he was doing, and why. The pain was kept to bare minimum. The doctor asked if I had any questions or concerns, then told me he wanted to see me back in a few weeks to discuss a more thorough examination. I was then walked down the hall, paid my bill, made my next appointment, and was free to go. I highly recommend this place and highly recommend Dr. Barber. The whole process from start to finish was somewhat painless. No one ever enjoys going to the dentist, but this visit was not as bad as I thought it would be. Enjoy.
