I visited Marbella Dentistry in Cibolo, TX in October 2025 on a Friday because my regular dentist was unavailable. They removed a tooth and fitted me with a temporary flipper. Due to swelling from the extraction, the flipper was extremely uncomfortable and painful. I was told to give it a couple of days and return for an adjustment. I live in Canyon Lake and don't normally travel to the Cibolo area, so getting back during their office hours was difficult. A dental assistant suggested I stop by whenever I was in the area. When I did, they sanded the flipper. I specifically asked the front desk if I would be charged and was told no. I paid my bill in full. About a month later, I received a bill for $141 for the insurance balance, which I paid. Then in late January, I received another bill for $40, stating that because I didn't have a scheduled appointment and was seen as a walk-in for the flipper adjustment, I was being charged. This was never disclosed to me at the time of service, and I would not have agreed had I been told. The inconsistent billing and lack of transparency were frustrating. I recommend confirming all charges in writing before agreeing to follow-up care. read more

If you have a toothache and nothing unusual shows up on the xray, go to your family practice doctor or another dental office. If they can't discern what is wrong within 5 minutes and treat it in 15, you should go elsewhere. Volume and payment are the top priority. read more

The dentists are great but the billing department will rob you. They overcharged me by over 500+ dollars 3 years ago and never told me. I only found out because I went in to get my teeth cleaned and need a fix. Now I am fighting them not to return it to an account I no longer have access to. read more

I've been there about 5 times and each time I had an excellent experience. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I've seen Mark Morozumi, Violet, Joel Olmos and Irene. Even though I smelled like moth balls (had an incident at home with moth balls), not one of them changed their interaction with me. I'm sure the smell was very unpleasant. They also take VA vouchers...I'm sure the payout from the government isn't great, so I really appreciate their help. I will keep spreading the word about how great this dental office is. Came in for service which was great, my problem is not processing paperwork correctly and timely for authorization when call the office they stated the filed when you call to check if it was filled it never wasn't and the excuse was the approving agency has it in their system, in which I verified twice, meaning the officer person never submitted it and lied to cover themselves. My regular dentist of 17 yrs had retired. He was the best. Always showed a sincere interest in all his patients. I wanted the same type of relationship with my new dentist. Dr James at Marbella Dentistry made me feel at home and that I was in good hands for all my dental needs. I just want to say, if you're looking for a family dentist, Marbella Dentistry is the best! I've been seen by Dr James, Dr Morozumi and Dr Lim. They are all awesome! The staff is amazing too! Today, I had a tooth removed and bone graft placed by Dr Lim. He was amazing at explaining everything and listening to my concerns. Everything went smoothly! Once healed, I will have an implant done. They have state of the art equipment. I've had quite a bit of dental work done with them over the last 3 years. They scan your mouth to make a crown instead of having to use impression material. I was impressed! If I could give zero stars, I would! I came in to Marbella for a general check-up after several years of being away from the dental office. I was advised/recommended that I get a deep cleaning to get my gums back to health, along with the use of this new tech, called diode lasers...For the laser itself, I was charged an arm and a leg...come to find out after doing some research, these lasers are not recommended for cleanings according to the American Dental Association...Don't get a cleaning there, they will charge you an arm and a leg for unnecessary treatment, I'm contemplating legal action, these people are crooks, they just want your money! The use of lasers in dentistry continues to be a hot topic and can even be described as controversial. The American Academy of Periodontology states, "At this time, there is insufficient evidence to suggest that any specific laser wavelength is superior to the traditional treatment methods of the common periodontal diseases, such as periodontitis." read more

I absolutely hate going to the dentist due too a couple traumatizing experiences. My husband and I were here for a funeral, we live in Arizona. I was having a horrible time with a tooth and decided I couldn't ignore it any longer. I called Thursday morning and they saw me later that after afternoon. The whole staff was so kind and Dr. Aaron was amazing, he knew exactly what was wrong and he didn't try to BS me or give opinions/judgment. He told me the facts and what needed to be done. They were transparent and up front with pricing. I ended up needing the tooth to be removed. They made it as smooth and comfortable as that can go. I'm so frustrated!! Today was my second visit. I had a cleaning 6 months ago. They talked me into a night guard, I had enough on my HSA. Teeth were great then no fillings no gum issues. Today- there for cleaning. I apparently now need deep cleaning every 3-4 months and a filling. They wanted another $400 my insurance would not cover. They would not let me break it down just a normal cleaning and filling. They didn't have time. I had been there 40 minutes by this time. So a total waste is time. Suuuuch a great experience. I hate the dentist, haven't been in 5-7 years. My daughter was having a toothache so we both went in. 2 of her teeth were pulled and she had a full exam/cleaning. I had a full exam and cleaning and we were outta there pretty quickly. The dentist (Dr James) was really explanatory, friendly and professional and the whole staff was really nice. I left a great a great review for this dentist office last month after my first visit but after my second visit this month, I wouldn't refer them to anyone! The office staff is so rude, a complete opposite of what I experienced the first visit. I been given the run around, had to call multiple times to get answers that they were suppose to call me back about but no one ever calls me back. I have asked to speak to the office manager multiple times and I'm always told she is in a meeting so I'm stuck speaking to Jessica who is extremely condescending. Our family of 5 went to this dentist (we are new to the area and needed a new dentist). We all had our teeth cleaned a little less then a year ago and our 6 month appts we're cancelled due to Covid. Four out of the five of us were told we need some sort of extra work and they wouldn't even clean 2 family members teeth saying they needed hundreds of dollars in dental work. The work we all needed done seems like things that would take time to happen and I just felt like something wasn't right. We all got a second opinion and what would have been over $2000 in work for our family turns out most of it wasn't true and for the things that did need done would be less then $300. Boy, did this 1 jolly rancher cost me. Luckily my insurance took most of the hit. I was chewing on one, it got stuck on my tooth and as I took it off, my tooth chipped. I scrambled to find someone to fix it. My own dentist was booked so a coworker of mine referred me to hers. Blessed to have them fit me in the same day....as a matter of fact 2 hours later from my tooth being chipped. Best referral I have received in a long time. This dentist office is very customer service oriented. Very fancy and high class, but do not allow this to sway you. Dr. Alexander Ferdoff took very good care of me. Beyond my expectations. His staff was very courteous and attentive. From the front desk to the assistants in the back. Bottled water and and hot beverages are available in the waiting area. You walk in the back and it looks so modern, kind of futuristic, advanced technology tools. Very clean and organized. While in the dentist chair, I was watching Netflix and when my chair was leaned all the way back, guess what, TV on the ceiling to continue watching what I had been watching sitting straight up. Talk about comforting the customer. At this moment, I switched dentists and will be coming here. Dr. Ferdoff doesn't trump up damages to your teeth, he tells you straight up what is up and your options. I know some dentists claim to find something wrong all the time, and he doesn't do that, according to my coworker. I trust her opinion and I trust that I am in good hands. He fixed my tooth as if it nothing ever happened to it. No more jolly ranchers for me. read more

My husband went to this dentist office. His 1st appointment they did x-rays and then told him he would need to schedule another appointment for cleaning. No problem. 2nd appointment he said his tooth hurt so more x-rays completed and he was told he grinds his teeth so would need a mouth guard made. The lady put too much mixture in tray and he had to spit it out because it was going down his throat. He told her and then was asked if he wanted to do it again, nope, trust gone. Then was told he had issues with guns so would need a special cleaning and would need to reschedule cleaning.......why was this not stated at initial visit when he was first told to schedule cleaning. Not cost effective or clustering care. He has to take off another day of work. Will not be going back to this establishment. read more

I had been going to Marbella Dentistry in Cibolo for 4 years. Not sure why i stayed with them this long, maybe just convenience. I always felt they were trying to get more money, treatments out of me. I had multiple crowns replaced to porcelain crowns. One came out but they wouldn't cover the cost because it was less than 5 years old. I persisted Marbella should cover the cost since a crown should last well beyond 5 years. Eventually after much deliberation they ended up paying for most and I paid $100.00 for their mistake. The turnover of staff is horrendous, absolutely no continuity. Billing department is the most frustrating with turnover of staff too. Always got a different price and then I would get a bill in the mail that was not even close to what they quoted. Nice facility and courteous staff, but I think profit and bottomline is the only goal. Also, although it is nice the exam rooms have TVs/Neflix, I felt that was a distraction for the staff. Sometimes the dental technicians were paying more attention to TV than my dental care. I have since found another dentist that is established and has continuity of care. I was a walk-in this week. I was just hoping to get an appointment some time this week, they took me in on the spot. They had a no show. I have been unemployed for almost a year and my insurance kicked in 2/1. I am very much in to dental care. I had a cleaning and a plan to take care of issues that concerned me. The staff and doctor were helpful, friendly and accommodating. They have a patient for as long as I am in this area. Very happy and satisfied. Love the office. I want to start this review by saying that I've never been a person to review an establishment. However, after my daughter's visit, I feel it to be necessary. I will start by saying that the office has an upscale ambiance and that the staff really made us feel cared for. Ashley greeted us and she was very welcoming. She even made us some hot chocolate while we waited to see the doctor. Katie (who is totally awesome and friendly) assisted Dr. Ferdkoff with the cleaning. We met Katie first and she made us feel at home while we waited for the doctor. She is very professional and sweet. We talked and talked so the time seemed to fly by. Dr. Ferdkoff was thorough and gave tidbits of advice. He was very pleasant and made sure that we had no questions. We initially went in for a cleaning but was also able to get sealants done on the same day, which was very convenient. I will end by saying that my experience was superb and I recommend this office to anyone who wants A+ service. read more

Unfortunately for me this place has been the worst dentist office I have ever been to. I went in to get a procedure done to leave with just a hole in my jaw. Long story short I was in need of an implant and dentist couldn't do it only after he drilled into my jaw for quite some time. Didn't get the implant but they kept charging me for the procedure, by taking money out of my account monthly. Took over 2 months to get them to stop taking money for services never rendered. Now I'm going 5 months to get my money back. For the the past 5 months I've been talking to them about my money, and they keep blowing me off. To the officer manager already left for the day, to the next day we don't have an office manager, to I'll look into your account to I'll call you back tomorrow but tomorrow has turned into months and I'm running out of patience. It's one thing you need my money so bad that you refuse to return it but constantly lying to me and playing games with me is so unprofessional and unethical. read more
