The CIBC occupies a horrible looking building in the older part of Keswick's central business district with an inadequate and awkwardly paved parking lot. Convenient and accessible parking is an initial sign of welcome and there is none here. But service is professionally smooth and when I approach the teller and begin my transaction I am addressed by my first name. There's a friendly ambiance among the staff and service is upbeat and convivial. While it's true that you can't judge a book by its cover, banks need to invest in their communities particularly when they want people to invest in them. Building design, aesthetics and easy accessibility for the community are important factors. read more
