Saturday night brought us to the fire pitch for a local DPL girls game for my daughter. We've never visited this field before and we're excited about the prospect of playing soccer near Wrigley Field. If you have more time and and you're into Chicago baseball, this place will put you right in the area of all the action. Our visit was strictly soccer though, and while the team did not disappoint, the field that they played on had a bit of a grade on the east side goal and my daughter said that there was a buried underwire that that tripped people up every so often when they were near the goal box. The turf was super hairy, make sure that you plan on brushing yourself off after the game. We didn't visit the restaurant that's attached to this facility, but it seemed like a restaurant that had a lot of different options for all kind of game and beer drinkers. The Chicago Fire sponsors this field and so you can get all type of Chicago fire attire. That's your jam. It's great to see pro sports sponsoring these type of fields so that kids have opportunity for League games in their city community. Visited this summer during the Colombian soccer tournament games and totally loved the vibe, live music, Dj, food in the beginning. The only thing that I thought needed improvement was the wait staff service. They were not ready to handle the crowd. The wait to get a drink at the bar was almost impossible with only 1 or 2 bartenders. Lesson to be learned when hosting important sport tournaments or playoff games you need to be prepared. Also, rules & policies need to be implemented before hosting not after, I noticed the last few last soccer games there was a big drop off of spectators mainly because there was no dj, live music like they did in the beginning of the games. This is a cute little side project of the Chicago Fire and it's brought a lot of joy to the fans and is a lovely idea. It's basically a temp style food and games area for the fans. And my goodness it has the best outdoor soccer facilities in all of Illinois in my opinion. They're not cheap though which is why there's no 5th star. read more

Do you or anyone in your family love soccer? If so, this is the place for you. I went here for a VIP special event last February This facility is huge, and open 12 months out of the year. In the winter time, they inflate the dome and there are 5 different indoor soccer fields. You can have any kind of party here (birthday, graduation, team celebrations) as well as business meetings, team building, networking, and sports tournaments. They will take care of everything for you. They offer a full service restaurant and bar, party rooms, two full size turf fields in the summer and the inflatable dome in the winter. They also offer a SAQ program (speed, agility, quickness) for athletes under the age of 18. There is some street parking and in neighboring businesses parking lots, pick up a flyer inside for locations and times that are available for free parking. The Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Star Game was recently held at Soldier Field, and there were various soccer-themed events throughout the city in conjunction with the exhibition match. Although I did not attend the big game featuring the MLS All-Stars versus Real Madrid, I did go to a fun event at the PrivateBank Fire Pitch featuring current and retired star players. This facility (the host is the Chicago Fire soccer team) is located just north of Addison near my old high school (Lane Tech!) and along the North Branch of the Chicago River. Although I obviously did not play on the pitch, it certainly looks like a nice soccer field. Facilities include a clubhouse with a pub / restaurant, gym and rest rooms (including benches that are convenient for players changing outfits), and a small souvenir shop. read more

At first I thought this place was amazing, I love the fields and the energy from the teams here. My biggest issue comes from the people who run the seasons. Communication has not been close to great and apparently they hold against you when you have to forfeit because let's face it, one cannot control an entire team and what pops up. During sign up you are asked if you need extra players, so when you say yes you do, it's as if you never asked because it did not happen. Therefore I had to pull my team because the price is very expensive for only 6-7 players to try and get together for a few weeks of soccer. Since I pulled my team I was told By DAN we shouldn't think to sign up in the future because they are down a team for the season. Absolutely unprofessional, ridiculous, and RUDELY IGNORANT I will not support a disgusting asshole like him. read more

We hosted our son's 9th birthday party here and were extremely impressed, from the responsiveness of our contact who set up the event, to the friendliness and attention of the staff during the party, to the facilities itself. The combination of playing soccer outside and then hanging out in the game room was perfect. There were lots of different activities for the kids inside, and they all had a blast. If we're talking facility alone, it's by far the best in the city to play soccer. It's two beautiful outdoor fields of astroturf that convert into five indoor fields in the winter when the dome goes up. There's not a bump on the entire surface so you're playing on pretty close to what the pros do. There's also a bar and restaurant at this facility which is perfect for post game celebrations or just coming to catch some EPL action on a Saturday morning. Only thing I'll caution is playing in a league here. We ended up with 4 forfeits on our last session including the championship, and instead of a refund they offered us beer and Fire tickets. Kinda the opposite of what we payed for. Oh well. If you can get in a good league, PrivateBank Pitch is unrivaled, but it's kind of important to have teams to play against. read more

I was invited to a child's birthday party here!! I walked in and was totally impressed. I know that my friends who hosted the party are class acts!!! My friends told the Bartender/Server to make certain that the guests had drinks and everything that they needed!! The bartenders were not friendly at all! I asked for Water at the the Bar and was told to go get it from the party room. So I promptly stated that I needed a Club Soda! Perhaps Mixing a Water might have been too much trouble! WTF?? Customer Service is not the Specialty here!!!!! These folks have a lot to learn about hospitality!!!! I don't like to write bad reviews. This is my second one. This is the best recreational soccer facility in Chicago. Brand new facility, great administration, nice equipment, and all very cool & modern. Because of this, talented players are attracted to play here. It's a bit more than Players Sport & Social per season, but you get what you pay for. Great value. read more

This is just a step above your typical Player Sports or Chicago Social league, but what makes it worse is that you must pay a lot more money to play. The facilities are nice but that's about the only thing that really separates it from other adult league soccer leagues. Not worth shelling out the extra cash. read more
