Excellent customer services offered by the tellers, security staff, and personal bankers. Their CD…read morerates have been relatively high compared to other banks' offers. However, their information systems seem to be rather problematic. Issues with my online account that had caught me by surprise in the past few years included the following: (1) Accounts gone missing for months; (2) Account transactions not updated monthly; (3) Inability for customers to reset password automatically via web browser and email confirmation. The bank is in general responsive to correcting the reported problems. However, as a customer, I feel the need to monitor my personal online account and statements more closely than with other banks.

I had over $200,000 in my account and wrote checks to pay my vendors and contractors totaling around $20,000, and then another set of checks totaling around $35,000. I processed the checks through the bank's OWN online check system on 8/9/23 and the second set of online checks on 8/21/23. These were all lawful checks paid to vendors, employees, law firms, and landlords. The checks were backed by my lawful funds in my lawful account; the vendors are lawful vendors, landlords, and law firms, who provided me lawful services and properties. WITHOUT even telling me, LAKESIDE BANK rejected all but TWO of the checks. These are lawful vendors who provided me with lawful services, and expected timely payment. I did not find out until THURSDAY 8/24/23 (note that my checks were processed through Lakeside's OWN ONLINE CHECK SYSTEM on 8/9/23 and 8/21/23) and that the checks that were supposed to be issued through the online portal were rejected... meaning that because of LAKESIDE BANK'S mismanagement, meddling, and unscrupulous practices, each vendor who was to receive my lawful funds did not receive it.. putting their business and personal lives and financial lives at great risk. LAKESIDE BANK is poorly managed, behaved irresponsibly, and behaved in an unscrupulous manner. Had they simply TOLD ME that they did not want to honor my good and lawful checks processed through THEIR OWN system, I could have made other payment arrangements to my LAWFUL vendors and landlords. Instead, their poor and unscrupulous practices put me and my vendors at risk. LAKESIDE BANK broke its fiduciary duty to me and broke its trust with me. This is a horrible bank with terrible management, terrible compliance, and terrible practices. One of my law firms is in process of filing a complaint with both the FDIC (Federal regulators) and the Illinois Department of Financial Regulators.

I was just another customer no# and the bank offered NO perks for being a member (not even over 10 years worth). Signature bank is friendly, professional and offers many things to their clients. Important to many is their totally FREE ATM transactions. It is not limited to a particular Bank, or certain ATM's that you MUST use. It is completely FREE regardless of bank or ATM, I love this! Also, certified checks and money orders are free, something I had to pay for at the other banks. Locations are convenient and you are able to make deposits at any bank ATM using your debit bank card. Paying bills on line electronically or with a check sent by the bank is free and super convenient. Can't say enough about this bank. Between the other big banks I considered switching to, I am so glad I found this one - I highly recommend it. If you are looking for a bank, or to switch over you will lose nothing by inquiring and you will not be disappointed.

How did the Bank track me down? But, then again, how many Krystyna B's are running around using Signature Bank's services in Chicago? These personal bankers greeted me with a smile, and stopped what thet were doing to research and make a gazillion copies. And were patient and kind. I opened a checking account later 2019 with CNB of Oak Forest, IL. Deposits were only made into…read morethe account. Although I had experienced a minor issue shortly after opening the account, I stayed with them. However, in 2020, within less than a three-month timeframe there were two major errors from them that cause me to believe that some of them are not competent; they caused the following two transactions in my account that did not stem from me: 1) some employee within the bank erroneously made a deposit entry into my account (I brought this to the bank's attention when I noticed it on my statement), and 2) They cashed a check against my account that belonged to another person's account. It seems that it takes some time for them to correct their mistakes, which I am still waiting for the correction on #2) above. So far, I haven't received an apology or sorry for the inconvenience from any of the individuals I have spoken with. Once I receive my funds back, I will definitely close out this account. I do not recommend this bank.
