A friend and I came for my birthday on Cinco de Mayo because we are from Texas and love Chuy's. We waited over 20 minutes for napkins and water then finally after 45 minutes on waiting for our food we complained to another server that let us know the kitchen ran out of rice and beans. The service was absolutely horrible and very disappointing. No one restaurant should ever make costumers wait an hour for food. We will not be returning to this franchise. read more

The restaurant started well. And the first time I visited the food had great fresh taste and well prepared. Amazing burrito! It was alive restaurant with lot of waiting and I liked it. The last couple of times I visited 2-3 months after opening the food was "blah" . And over spiced to cover it. I don't know if they changed cooks but they better revisit their ways. Wait: was a little longer than normal or expected, I guess due to good food and people were staged outside and in the bar area which was a rookie mistake at estimation on our part. Service: not that great really. Looks like a pretty young waitstaff so not unsurprising. That was probably the reason for 4 stars. Food: was very good for TexMex menu. Had some subtlety to their sauces that was unexpected and nice. They proclaim everything is fresh made. No reason to not believe them. Food was very good. Chips: superior execution. Warm, just right amount of saltiness. Guacamole was good. Didn't get the queso. Family gave mixed review on salsa with youngest not liking it. Salsa was fresh style which I love and had a nice touch of heat to it. If wait staff had been more on game, wouldn't have been able to eat entree. Food took longer than typical to come out especially for Mexican food, again probably either due to business, fresher food than other mex restaurants or combination of both. Orders: steak fajitas, mucho burrito (pork), soft shell pork tacos and hard shell tacos (beef). All was good and well received by each family member. Pork was well executed. My taste test of beef was good too. Tortillas: fresh made! Amazing. Can see them making them from waiting area which is a very nice touch. Portions are substantial for a very reasonable price. Speaking of price ~$70 for 4 with an appetizer (guacamole) and 2 alcoholic beverages. Drinks: Mojito Classic: wife gives a middle of the road grade. Not as good as Abuelo's. Texas Martini: basically a margarita served in a martini glass with two green olives stuffed with sweetened jalapeños. I thought this was good though not typically a huge margarita fan. Liked the olives with jalapeños too. Was a good portion and liked the service approach. Was a substantial good size portion. Overall: unlike many, we very rarely eat Mexican but this was one we will return for. read more

Our favorite restaurant when visiting NWA. Their salsa and chips are top notch. Salsa is A little on the hot side, but not too. I'm generally not a fan of most Spanish rice but love theirs. My wife goes crazy for their fresh made guacamole. The wait staff is always outstanding. read more

Normally great and the fajitas the best in town. However, not today. A couple across from us were frustrated they couldn't get their bill and wanted to leave. I have been coming to this restaurant since they opened. Always very good. On Tuesday, 5/26/20, my friend and I decided to have our first get together since February due to Covid -19. When we arrived, we both wore our masks as we were seated at our table. We kept them on until our drinks were brought to our table. I noticed more people entering and none of them were wearing masks!!! I first asked our waitress and she stated she was not pleased about that. She asked if I would like to speak to the manager. A few minutes later he arrived at our table and I asked him about all of these people entering without masks. He stated the Gov. of Arkansas said it was no longer necessary. I told him that was not true and he got very testy with me. They have not moved the empty tables out of the way and when seating people, there was not even 3 feet of social distancing. I sent an email to Gov Hutchinson regarding this issue. I definitely will not return to this restaurant until they abide by the state mandates of wearing a mask. They are extremely irresponsible by not following state guidelines and could cause people to become ill. Very sad day in Rogers for Chuy's and the manager to behave in the manner that he did. I hope someone from the state checks up on there lack of following state guidelines ! read more

I shared the #1 combo plate and it had more than enough or two. The flavors weren't great and the beans were crunchy. My dad had chicken enchiladas and I tried them and the chicken was very bland and dry and it was the same in the flauta. The best part of the experience were the tortilla chips, they came out warm and delicious and the jalepeno ranch sauce was also very good. The salsa was pretty spicy bt the ingredients were fresh and really good. We had a party of 5 and waited a little over an hour on Sunday for a table. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. read more

We came here with a party of sixteen on an early Saturday afternoon for my daughters birthday. When I told the hostess the size of our party she shot me a hateful glance and said "seriously?". Then we were told the wait would be an hour and fifteen minutes. No problem for us, we were expecting a long wait, with the restaurant being new. Still, the front of the house seemed to be ran by the same kids working at Hollister at the mall, no one over seventeen and all very rude, more interested in whispering with each other and flirting with each other quite heavily than helping customers. That being said, the back of the house was working very hard to please our large group. The wait staff was overworked but polite. The food was not as good as Abuelo's, but I fed six of my family, all adults, for under ninety bucks, which is impressive. My niece had the kids chicken and the portions were huge, and the creamed jalapeno dip is very good. The wait staff can apparently wear whatever they want, including skirts and very short shorts and nose and lip piercings which is a pet peeve of mine in a food establishment. Bottom line, kids up front are rude, wait staff is friendly, and wait for the new to wear off so you don't have to wait an hour, it's not worth it. read more

Come here every weekend with my wife. Food is always great. Service is normally above average. This visit was less than stellar. The theme tonight was rushed. Which might have been okay had they not rushed so much they forgot to get my order right. Added an egg on my Elvis chicken and it came out without it. I was ok until I got the check and they charged me for the egg. Then I noticed my wife's dinner on the menu was under $10 but for some reason came out $11.08. Couldn't get the waiter to stop for five seconds to figure it out. Just paid and left. Might be looking for another regular weekend spot. read more

Not that great. Talk about hype. I haven't been this disappointed since I went to sonic to eat and saw no hedgehog! Jokes aside, went here with my girlfriend from San Antonio and we were put on a waiting list for 25 minutes. We stood there right by the desk, and people came in after us and were seated before us. Our buzzer never went off, so once another group was seated before us after coming in after us we asked what was up. Turns out, the overlooked our name and threw that wait list out. After they went back and checked and realized their boo boo, we were seated in about 10 minutes. Whew! Way to really get on it and fix the issue quickly! Secondly, out waiter didn't show up for 10 more minutes to ask for drinks. Third, food was super ordinary. And quite politically correct in being over priced because of the neighborhood it is in. Chuy's served me one of the worst Mexican meals I've ever had. The staff messed up my order in two ways and they took about ten minutes to get another plate of food. The tortillas were dried out, and the beans appeared to be dried as well. I can safely say I will not be going there from this point on. read more

I have never driven by and not seen their parking lot packed, fairly good reviews so why not. As our waitress walked up and water was dripping from the salsa dish that should have been my first clue, as I stared at the salsa and noticed it foaming, I should have just left. However, the place was packed and maybe the food would be better? I ordered the steak burrito, and my wife ordered the chicken tacos. The food arrived very quickly on scalding hot plates, not saying they microwaved them, but time would tell. The burrito took me back to my youthful days, like the days of scraping together 99 cents to buy a microwave burrito from a gas station, the taste was also the same. My wife's chicken tacos were not horrible, it was definitely chicken, in a taco form. So major plus for being able to identify it and what it was supposed to look like. I tried the guacamole that came with the taco and it should have been listed as a soup, having spent many years over seas in third world countries and eating many things that I am not sure could be classified as food, I would like to think I have a strong stomach, but their guacamole managed to turn it. Not sure how they are still open let alone busy. I typically try to eat somewhere at least twice before I give an opinion but for the price we paid vs the quality of food I will not. Here is another kind of restaurant we eat at every week for decades: Mexican Food. We are from So Cal so our interpretation of Mexican food might be different. I don't like Tex mex and I need real cheese not nacho cheese sauce in place of cheese. I also don't like wet burritos. We judge our Mexican food by the salsa. If the chips and salsa suck, then the food will most likely suck. With that in mind, we order fajitas, nacho supreme, chicken soup, enchiladas, tacos, chicken tenders w/fries (kids), rice, beans, salad, chili relleno, and chips (warm) and fresh salsa and "crack sauce". All of it is so good, except the chili relleno was just okay- it had a weird sauce on it. They make everything fresh here and it is awesome. The freshly made tortillas are very special. The best is the tres leches cake! To die for! It's not full of buttercream, it's very light, milky, and not too sweet. Price is good for the quality. Big portions. Customer service is great. Consistently really great. Family friendly. There is usually a wait for dinner time,holidays and weekends, but that's because it's a popular restaurant. read more

Food wasn't terrible, but the freebies during the happy hour breed the worst of the area. You get in line for the free chips, salsa, and queso, only to find out everyone is getting 3 ramekins of queso and there will be none for you. The drinks are watered down as well, so 2 for 1 is really 1 for 1 as there is less alcohol in the margaritas. While we love their salsa, it is doubtful we will be back.... read more

I have always loved the food here. I get the same thing every time!! Stacked Enchiladas and it's always shredded chicken with the lovely tomatillo sauce they make :) I have never been to happy with the service. And i have always heard they are known for their food not the service. But when I went for dinner on the 18th with my mom and sister for some fajitas and enchiladas we had awful service. Our server took over 5 minutes to get to the table another 5 minutes just for water to start. She did not seem interested in even being their. The attitude from the whole staff was unpleasant. Went to the ladies room and it reeked. There was toilet paper everywhere I passed the front host stand and I politely told the young girls up front that the bathroom stinks and needed to be checked on. The girls responded with "We Know." We waited over 30 minutes for our food. Which the chicken in my stacked enchiladas were thick chunks (usually shredded) the server had no intention of even wanting to take our order she told us to wait. Which is fine but the staff needs to be retrained in customer service. So people will not only want to come back because of the food. But because they will feel welcomed. Will still come back because I love the food. But Chuy's in Rogers please work on the attitude of the staff. read more
