Stopped in for Happy Hour ~ had a Margarita and the Queso with chorizo ~ the salsa and the ranch dip were good. Service was just okay not sure if my waitress was new. The queso was supposed to come with sour cream and avocado ~ she eventually brought it. The margarita was okay. Ambiance Mexican

I love Tex-Mex, and the parking lot is always full at this place so we decided to stop and try it. The restaurant is clean, open and airy, the service was fantastic! And now for the food... ***FABULOUS***. We had a taco plate and one of the specials. Margaritas were awesome, chips were light and salty. It's really a good place!

The incredible jalapeño ranch would be worth five stars just by itself. But the service is excellent and the food is good and reasonably priced. My server was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. She kept my drink full and brought extra jalapeño ranch when she saw mine was nearly empty. I ordered cheese enchiladas, and they were delicious. Rice and beans were flavorful. Servings are huge! The one suggestion I have is that they need more vegetarian options. I will definitely be stopping here again when I am in the area.

It had been about a year since our last visit to Chuy's and they've only gotten better. I find their menu a bit on the narrow side and their fajitas quite expensive. So, I went with the Elvis Memorial Combo and learned first hand why Elvis ballooned up to 350 pounds. Three enchiladas, packed with chicken, beef, cheese and smothered in three different sauces. Then a beef taco and a side of rice, beans, lettuce and pico. I got through half of it. My wife's veggie enchiladas were equally good. Between us, our leftovers served up another meal. Our meals were served quickly and piping hot. Service was very good. And the chips and salsa were non-stop. Well done, Chuy's

Mauri is our friendly waitress. She was perfect in every way. She is the main reason I'm giving 4 stars. She kept my glass replenished and was genuinely very nice and patient about everything. I ordered a ChuyChanga which had a very THICK wrap. I felt the need to use a knife to cut through it. This is unlike any other Mexican food joint I ever ate at. I'm used to a much thinner wrap and a white Mexican queso cheese sauce, rather than an orange cheddar sauce. My Chuychanga came with sour cream, lettuce, tomato and maybe some onions. I also had rice and refried beans (not very good). I'm not a fan of the Chuychanga, but to be fair, I ate it all. That's how I am wired. I just wouldn't order it again. My friends ordered a taco salad and a burrito with the same fixins I had. The guy that ordered the taco salad left half of it. Perhaps he wasn't that hungry. The guy who ordered the burrito and fixins left a little bit. I think we were all topped off. In closing, I would say that Chimichangas are my most favorite entrée to order at Mexican restaurants, but not at Chuy's.

This was the most amazing location of a Chuy's I have ever had the pleasure of dining in. The service was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was so fresh and wonderful. The atmosphere was so fun. The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of staff there at the time we were there. I can't wait to go back again.

This place is packed so we decided to stop by and see what was going on. There is lots of flare as soon as you walk in. We started with the cheese caso and my wife loves it. My wife got the chicks chicks boom boom burrito (watch out for the spicy boom boom sauce on it). I went with the steak a fajita fair portions with lots of sides condiments. This is a Military friendly restaurant.

Server was fun, knowledgeable and attentive. Food quality was very good. I love the large burrito filled with beans and ground beef topped with the creamy jalapeño sauce. Decor is like other Chuy's with bright festive colors, eclectic random wall art and large plants floor to ceiling. Outdoor seating is an option in good weather. A full bar specializing in margaritas and other ice cold concoctions. Location is just off I-65 in large shopping center.

I absolutely love this place! The food and service are always so yummy! It's clean all the time but the decor...noticeable dust. Not just a little, either. With the table and floor cleanliness, the fantastic food, the consistent friendly service, that's why I love this restaurant!

I wish I could join the chorus of 4 and 5 star reviews. Looking for a restaurant with atmosphere?…read more You won't find it here. My first warning was the decrepit sign over the door in a dilapidated strip center. But, as the saying goes, "don't judge a book by its cover." The food was good. Not great. My usual order is fajitas, this time a chicken, steak, and chicken combo. The plate was served sizzling. Served with 3 small tortillas and the usual fixin's. El Mexicano doesn't serve any beans other than refried, so, no option for black beans, pinto or borracho. The shrimp in the dish were perfect, the chicken was dried out and there were about 6 little strips of steak. The grilled onions and peppers were very good. My wife's shrimp dish was very salty. She prefers the interpretation of Shrimp Mexicana at others Mexican restaurants. And for good measure, because we asked for some lime to squeeze on the shrimp and they tacked on $2 to the bill. But what really resulted in my barely average review was the cleanliness of El Mexicano; or rather, the lack of it. You'll notice a yellow bucket that hangs on the wall in the dining room, yes, in full sight of diners. I witnessed a server drop something on the floor, grab a cloth from the bucket and clean the floor. Then, she returned the cleaning cloth to the bucket. Moments later, another server used the same cloth to clean tables! The health department would have a hissy fit if they saw this. Worse, when I mentioned this to the manager, he was indifferent. I know he understood me, he just didn't care. If the manager is so indifferent to such an obvious health hazard, I can't fathom what goes on in the kitchen. El Mexicano is a "one and done" for us.

But I felt La Lupita had slipped a bit. Initial service was excellent, we were greeted and seated promptly. Drinks were served and our order was taken. But once the food was brought to the table, our server was nowhere to be found. Refill for ice tea? Nope. We ordered one set of corn and one set of flour tortillas and got two orders of corn. It took us quite a while to find the server to get the error corrected. The complementary chips and salsa were way off. The chips were stale and they switched to a green salsa. Admittedly, a personal preference, but I liked the red better. My wife enjoyed her usual- camarones Mexicano. Served sizzling and perfectly done. I don't recall the mixed fajitas (my usual) as being so greasy. Again, served hot. Lots of peppers, onions, & grilled tomatoes. No jalapeños. I could have asked for some as a side and I'm sure they would accommodate. I also found it odd that La Lupita doesn't offer any beans other than refried. We asked for black beans or pinto or borracho. They're not offered. Yet they were able to serve refried black beans instead of the usual borracho or pinto refried version. Prices, inevitably, were up since our last visit. La Lupita is still a favorite for authentic Mexican food. We just caught them on an off day and it was still way ahead of most Mexican restaurants.

They have a very wide menu featuring a great array of Mexican specialties along with the more traditional Mexican-American fare that most people are used to. Since this was our first visit, we played it safe and each tried a good old reliable quesadilla; one grilled chicken, one grilled steak. Both were HUGE and delicious. The steak was seasoned nicely and was still juicy despite being cut small. The chicken I had was flavorful and juicy, as well, made even better with the addition of some the the house salsa. I had rice as a side item and it was probably the best I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. I'm not sure what they season it with, but I could eat a whole bowl of it by itself. My wife had a Coke; I stuck with water. As an added bonus, when it came time to pay the bill, we were told the older couple behind us had picked up our check. To whomever you are---thank you.
