I just wanted to say thank you to Chuy Tacos for making my bridal shower that much more amazing. This is my second time dining with you guys, and first time having you cater for a gathering. The tacos were delicious and all the extra amenities that came with the set up. I made sure to try all three meats and every single one was exactly how I remember it, DELECTABLE! We used Chuy Tacos for our daughter's birthday and had nothing but compliments from all of our guests! From the beginning communication for booking was quick and easy. For the day of they showed up promptly and the service was great with very professional and friendly staff. I loved how they label all their condiments and set up their serving tables to match our color schemes, very thoughtful of them. Everyone enjoyed all of the food and agua frescas that were served. Text Jr for avails & pricing roughly 1 month prior to the date of my event. He responded quickly and provided all the details I needed: a comprehensive list of what you get & how much it will cost. The price could not be more reasonable. Here's what's real: Pros: Food is delicious (like, so so good) Communication is on point - you're not left with any uncertainty or confusion Omar & Kayla arrived with everything we needed - I did not have to provide anything for them. They will even bring water, if you want them to. Quick setup / quick tear down You keep everything you don't consume Cons: Their social media presence isn't good (sorry guys). They've got some good reviews but their reviewers don't post many food pics. If you're anything like me, you look at the pics - you read the reviews. Also, no local shop which means we have to dream about having more until our next party - brutal. I don't throw out reviews lightly. Good or bad - I don't usually do it. My review is long overdue. I had Chuy and his crew cater for a small birthday party on Father's day. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. They came 30 minutes before the start time to set up and were just cool people overall. You know how it is sometimes when the catering folks can be awkward and you try to make small talk etc? Not them, we was vibing and they were doing their business and provided amazing service like the professional that they are. The tacos were great also. They also did jalapeno bomb as well as quesadilla. Not only would I recommend Chuy's Tacos for your catering needs, I would keep using them myself in the future. Jr, Omar and Kayla were the BEST! Echoing all the other Yelpers here, my experience with Chuy Tacos was Chef's Kiss perfect. I am SO happy they catered our event. From initial contact to end of party, they operate like one well-oiled machine. Booking with Jr was simple! I knew right after talking to him I didn't want to go back to previous food vendors, or feel the need to look at/compare other businesses! He was so personable, responsive and understanding-- a true professional. Also, he offered the most reasonable rates and just unique items that ultimately made our son's party that much more special. I had an emergency come up last minute and we had to change stuff around including the party date. Jr made accommodations that I cannot thank him enough for. His flexibility and willingness to still work it out with us was so kind and understanding of him. Come day of our party we had Omar and Kayla as our servers... they were timely, super sweet, super friendly, and made everything run SOO smoothly. And the food itself was such a hit! I contacted Jr with less than 2 weeks until my event (a birthday party for about 50 people).  He was always very quick to respond to me over both Yelp & text. His quotes were super clear, reasonable & included lots of stuff (rice, beans, jalapeño poppers, several salsas/sauces, cheese, jalapeños, onions, cilantro, lime, chips, plates, napkins, forks). There were no hidden fees or extra charges, which I appreciated.  He seemed very open to accommodating anything I might need, I just had to ask! Charlie & Daniel were super nice & very professional! Unfortunately, it decided to rain on our party date, but they were prepared with big tents for us.  I literally did not have to think about anything, because they had already thought of it all! Even down to packing up any extra food for us! I was able to choose a variety of proteins options: chicken, beef, pork, shrimp (extra $). JR was great to work with- very communicative and timely. He helped our local swim team throw an end of year awards ceremony. We had a limited budget and a lot of hungry people to feed and we are thankful JR came up with a solution for us. Food was very delicious and unfortunately we ended up having some hungry people go through the line twice before first-timers could get in so some food items went faster than anticipated. In short-- if I ever needed to hire a taco caterer again, I'd get Chuy Tacos-- no hesitation. Why? Because: - Contacting the owner, Jr, was easy. He answered all of my questions (very promptly) and accommodated guest count changes with no problem. From inquiry to quoting to final payment experience was all prompt and minimal effort was required. - Their set up and service was seamless and the employees who serviced us were very nice and professional. They showed up on time for set up and were ready to cook at the time planned. At one point, they even went out of their way and offered to help us shift some of our own tables to move them more into some shade. - Food was more than well received by our guests, so delicious! My husband and his family are from Tijuana so he can be quite critical about tacos but he thought they were great going back for seconds and thirds-- he even raved about the beans. We also requested agua frescas and they were thirst quenching. - Their set up was aesthetically professional and when they turned down service, they didn't cause any disturbance to our ongoing event. No need to provide them with anything. They came with all their own equipment and even their own serving table. We booked them for a 30 person graduation party and they were such a hit. They show up and stay for a total of 3 hours. It's 1 hour to prep then they serve for 2 hours. The package came with three proteins Asada ,Chicken, and Pastor. These guys are great! We hired Chuy Tacos for a small baby shower for about 25 people this past weekend. It was a smooth transaction from beginning to end. They were very responsive from the get go and very flexible. They arrived on time even though they just came from a previous lunch event. They got setup and started prepping right away. They are there for a total of 3 hours. 1 hour to prep and 2 hours for serving. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. Catering came with carne asada, chicken, pork, rice, beans, and salsa bar. They also had these cheese stuffed jalapenos too. All the meat was nice and tender. You can have it with either tacos or quesadillas. After they were done, they cleaned everything up and left the rest of the food with us. The price was very reasonable compared to others in the area.
