My husband and I love churros so we were super excited to have them at our wedding. Our guests loved them and the team was very easy to work with.

The churros taste great. I love churros and these are one of the best I've had. I usually have to drive to the bay but now I don't have to. I love that they also cater. So I will be hiring them for my next event. Look at the Facebook page Churro Kings to see when they will be at the spot. The times that they are not there it's because they have an event to cater to.

The stand was in a great place (back left) for guests to access.

Churro King was hands-down THEE BIGGEST HIT at our wedding in April 2022. They arrived on time and quickly set up their churro station. They were respectful of our timeline and made amazing churros! So many of our guests raved about their churros and how fun it was to watch them be made. People loved the fillings, we had the bavarian cream and caramel. Many guest said these were the best churros they've ever had in their life. Churro King's will make your event very special!

Churro Kings set up at my daughters 2nd Birthday!

Hired Churro Kings for my daughters 2nd Birthday Party. The booking and communication was flawless. They arrived on time, was set up within 10 minutes and churros cooking within 20. I can not believe how amazing these churros were! We chose the Caramel and strawberry fillings and had amazing cream cheese dips to go with it! My entire party was just ranting and raving over these churros! They were so fluffy and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend Churro kings for their friendliness, professionalism and of course their out of this world Churros. Definitely will be hiring them again for other parties!!

They have plenty of tables to sit at as well as small couches near the windows. We ordered an iced chai and an iced Sana'a latte, as well as an Adeni milk cake and a honeycomb pastry. The chai was good. It was real chai rather than the concentrates and syrup served at other coffee shops. It was not too sweet, next time I think I would try it hot. The Sana'a latte was really good, the cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon flavors really come through! The Adeni milk cake was so delicious! It was moist throughout and soaked with slightly spiced milk and had the same texture as a très leches cake. The honeycomb was super unique and I really loved it! The pastry itself is savory with a slight cumin flavor and is filled with dollops of cream cheese, it's then topped with honey and served warm. The sweet and savory elements went extremely well together, if you are going to try any pastry from this café, I would 100% recommend trying the honeycomb!! I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

Add in some baklava and milk cake on top of that and you're getting a special experience for sure. I was also expected the honeycomb to just be overly sweet, but it's more than a dessert. The cream cheese gives it a savory quality that goes super well with the honey they put on top. It was also very chill and lowkey in the restaurant, really liked the music they were playing as well as it wasn't just the same pop music you hear everywhere else. This place really feels like you're experiencing a different culture from the boring typical cafe I'm so used to seeing. The staff was also very welcoming and informative. Not familiar with a lot of the dishes here do they gave us a break down that was very helpful.

This is…read morehands-down, one of my favorite dessert, spots, and if you're a cake lover, you need to check this place out! First off, the vibe is everything! It has that fun, old school 80s diner film that makes you feel like you've stepped onto a movie set. The inside is a decent size, always clean, and has so much nostalgic charm. The employees are always super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Now, let's get to the best part: THE DESSERT! This place is literally a cake lovers paradise. They have so many flavors, and everything is made in house. We're talking chocolate cake, red velvet, birthday cake, mint, white chocolate, Oreo, cake, coconut cream, pie, chocolate pie, strawberry cheesecake, and so much more. Seriously, there's something for every sweet tooth! They also offer sandwiches and drinks like coffee and hot chocolate, so you can grab something savory before treating yourself to dessert . Another great thing is that they have whole cake ready to go in the fridge, which is perfect for birthdays, parties, or any special occasion when you need a cake without placing an order ahead of time. I will say that it's a little on the pricey side, but honestly, I think it's worth it. Between the huge variety of desserts, the nostalgic atmosphere, and friendly service, it's a fun experience. This is also such a cute spot for date night if you want to do something different instead of the usual dinner and movie. After almost 15 years, I still have coming here! If you're someone who loves cake, has a sweet tooth, or just want to enjoy dessert in a fun, retro dining setting, add this place to your list. You won't be disappointed.

The cakes, pies, cookies, and other treats are absolutely beautiful, seriously, some of them look like something you'd see featured on the Food Network. The Black Forest cake was rich and decadent, the apple pie was classic comfort-food delicious, and the key lime cheesecake had that perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and tangy. With a display case like this, choosing just one might be the hardest part! Rex Tip: They also serve Gunther's Ice Cream, so take that slice of pie à la mode! Add a scoop on the side and turn dessert into a dino-sized treat. Come for the retro vibes, stay for the dessert case, and good luck leaving without taking something extra home! 5 ROARS from Focusaurus Rex!

Quick tip: once you get to the part of the line at the door, ask for samples before you get to the register. It helps the overall flow, and it keeps you from looking like you're holding up the line once you finally get to the front. I sampled the black raspberry marble, which was very delicious, but ended up getting the black raspberry chip because I wanted the added texture. My husband ordered a chocolate-covered banana with nuts. My single scoop felt like a double. Even if the part that was visible was all the ice cream I got, that would've been enough, but the cone was packed with raspberry chip goodness as well. The waffle cone was also nice and crunchy, and had a great chip-to-ice cream ratio. My husband's banana was decent (tasted like a drink from Jamba Juice), but I think if the banana wasn't so frozen and hard, then I would've enjoyed it more. Overall, will always come back here. I just live far and have closer options.

The strawberry was especially good with its seeds and it's probably one of my favorite strawberry desserts now. Now fruit freezes aside, don't underestimate the vanilla in between. It was so creamy and decadent, complimenting the fruit freezes perfectly. I was amazed how nothing was over the top in terms of sweetness and flavors. Their retro theme is also really cute too and I love all the seating options outside. Makes you feel like you're going on the old fashioned dates they always talk about in the movies. However the coffee wasn't my favorite or as enjoyable for me. The Spanish latte wasn't sweet enough and the espresso taste was weak as well. Then, the mazapan latte was too sweet with hardly any espresso flavor.. which is unfortunate because I asked the cashier for their best recommendation prior to ordering and felt like their product knowledge wasn't in tune as I hoped. This shop is located at the end of DoCo across from Sauced in the spot that was previously a Starbucks Reserve shop.Parking is available underneath DoCo in the city lot, with validation available from the business tenants of DoCo but with the abundance of street parking available,I just parked on the street. Upon walking in I knew I made the right choice that morning,I know it sounds cliche but that place is a vibe. They were playing solid Latin music, the decor inside was truly thought thru to convey a particular feel-it felt great in there, now I just had to hope the coffee and small bites, matched up to the ambience. This particular morning was pretty busy as there were like about 10 people in line when I got there and only 1 person taking orders plus the tables were at about 90% capacity but it wasn't hard to find a place to sit because the turnover for tables was really fast. We decided to try a few things that visit,I went with a Dulce de Leche latte"Grandote" size ($7.00) and the wife went with a similar sized Mexican Mocha ($7.00).We also decided to get some food,so ended up going with the Bacon,Egg,and Cheese breakfast sandwich($7.50) and also the Torta de Jamon ($15.00). Coffee was made pretty quickly but there was a slight wait for the food but didn't mind it too much as I can tell it was made very fresh as I got to watch the worker make my Torta-very glad it wasn't premade. I really loved my Dulce de Leche latte-gave me caramel macchiato vibes but just different enough,it was really good,I tasted the Mexican Mocha and it tasted exactly like one should taste,it's just not my particular preference, but I blame that on my palette not the craftsmanship,as the wife truly enjoyed it. As for the food I really liked the Bacon breakfast sandwich, was a solid value for what we got,I would for sure order it again if I just wanted a quick small bite. The Torta de Jamon I really really enjoyed, featuring ham with avocado, pickled jalapeños,pepper jack cheese, fresh tomato, queso fresco served on toasted bread-very tasty and fresh tasting-I would for sure order it again. That being said, the true star of the night when it comes to this visit was the place itself,I really enjoyed the ambience, the customers, the decor,I'm really glad this place exists and it's a welcome addition to the downtown Sacramento coffee scene-I look forward to returning.
