Even though it was well done, it was not dry at all and extremely flavourful - even without their delicious piri piri sauce (which I highly recommend, wish I could eat that by the spoonful lol). I personally do not eat pork (I know, shocking) so I am unable to comment on the taste but by the moans and ZERO leftovers left, I would say it was a "hit". Chicken was done properly with nice level of browning of the skin and subtle flavour. They leave the flavour to you as it is on the side unlike other places where it is basted on. Potatoes were good - not too soft or overcooked and ample size. Rice was average - tons of it but just ok imo. Service (4/5) - friendly server and pretty quick turnaround overall. Atmosphere (4/5) - it is a small place with only a few tables to dine in but clean and orderly. Overall (4/5) - seems like a reliable place for takeout or dine-in. I've had better elsewhere, but this was still good. CARNE DE PORCO À ALENTEJANA - good flavours; however, the pork was a bit dry, even though it was a bit of a saucy dish. PICANHA GRELHADA - grilled rump steak, served with black beans, French fries, and rice. This dish was terrible and I would NOT recommend! The steak was chewy and tough. When we told the server about this all he said to us was "well, sometimes that happens" and walked away. So, you're basically telling people that sometimes it just happens that you serve terrible food and you still expect people to pay full price for it. Because of this dish alone and the server's response to our feedback about the dish, I will never go back to this place again and I do not recommend this place at all. There used to be a very crusty artisan bread that was served but over the years that has disappeared and it's a white bread now. Three of us had chicken/chicken breast and one had veal. Even the small portion was very generous. The salad was underwhelming but a pretty presentation. The server got a couple of orders wrong and seemed very distracted. The piece de resistance was the "Portuguese Tarts" which made a wonderful finale to a good Al fresco dining experience.

Apart from the sickness the food is atrocious and nothing like the restaurants on Major MacKenzie Drive. I have gone to this restaurant several times since it opened and it is always atrocious, but I keep going back in the hopes that one day I might get food that resembles the Major Mac locations.
