To their credit the food was good and fresh. However the…read moreservice was very slow. I think they were understaffed, and those who were working were not engaging but very nonchalant. Some of the soda flavors had no syrup. I informed the guy at the counter, but he was not very responsive. The guy filling the orders called out the order number once very quickly and barely understandable, then rather than engage with the people waiting or repeat the number, simply put the order under a heat space. I asked the other guy if that was my number that was just called so he looked, and it was. This BK is annexed to a travel center convenience store and gas station. The atmosphere is dark, and just not the best representation of BK. If I had realized that just down the road there were better options I would have passed on this one.

Like a bus or two had dropped off it's passengers to eat but there was no bus(es). Not a complaint but very weird none the less. Not sure if that was commonplace or not. Wait time wasn't too bad, given the shear amount of customers that were in line, ordering and waiting for their orders for large families before I even got in line. My complaint was that the food didn't seem as hot as it should have been (almost like it was under a heat lamp but there were too many customers for that to have been the case). The bulk ketchup dispenser was either near empty or broke because we were having problems getting a usable amount out. I resorted to grabbing a massive handful of packets from the counter. There was two of the Coca-Cola fountain drink machines that have every flavor combination that they have ever created but was out of everything except root beer (vanilla optional), ginger ale (didn't check flavors) and water on one machine, water and ice on the other. The root beer was almost flat and lukewarm. The cashier spoke fluent English and Spanish so there was no issue in ordering. Two of the trash bins I saw were filled to the brim when I was waiting on my order but were changed out after I got my order. I don't know the status of the other two but wasn't really looking for it.
