We drove from Laredo to Millie's Restaurant in Dilley Texas from to meet our sister coming from San Antonio. We arrived early and sat down and had coffee until our family showed up. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the price was good. This is an excellent spot to stop at when traveling on I35 to get a quick meal or breakfast tacos. Will definitely return. read more

Went to Millie's with my family thinking it was going to be a nice Sunday lunch ... heard good praise from other people I know . Restaurant was not much to look at but I'm not one to judge.The food was decent portions ,decent cost it was Sunday so fairly busy for a small restaurant,I had a party of five in total all simple meals and all drinks the same -water ,waitress that served us forgot water reminded her multiple times then received only a water with no ice - hot ,I never got a refill neither did my mother who has some health problems and we were so tired of waiting for ice I gave mine to the family member did not receive ice but just the hot water so she could have a drink , . two kids in my party waitress only gave one water to them apparently thy had to split water . I ordered fries waitress forgot had to remind her of that as well,ok it happens I understand we all have our days ,the really upsetting part is when I went to pay the bill the waitress tried saying my bill was more than the food cost, plus she automatically charge me 20 percent gratuity on a 56$ check stating because we had six plates and it auto charged because of plates ordered .however it's posted gratuity charged for over party of 6 or more PEOPLE in restaurant-mind you there were 5 people including myself in my party .my waitress had lots of excuses for why the bill had a lot of extra charges that didn't make sense then I requested everything be added on one check and she still charge a separate check of 11.54 I looked at my receipt and realized I also got charged credit card fees different charges each time and different taxes all on one check. the manager supposed fixed the check for me hopefully I actually received my refund cause I still paid and he was professional! however the waitress still never apologized or owned up to the extra unexplained charges on my bill or the gratuity she applied -I've never heard someone use multiple plates as a gratuity excuse if that was the case restaurant would never sell desserts or appetizers ! It's a shame my waitress felt she had to give herself a very large tip when I was going to tip her no matter what but that's just wrong to try and lie ,and the sad thing is my family has been to this restaurant multiple times but now seems untrustworthy and I almost wonder if we were the only ones with a bill like this today , if you go to this restaurant be mindful of your money and apparently the amount of food you purchase !! read more

I loved it! We are defiantly going back next time we pass through. The staff was so nice and very attentive. The Mexican plate was amazing even giving the option for small or large which was perfect for my husband and I. Perfect little stop on 35 right in between San Antonio and Laredo. read more

The menu is very limited but the Barbacoa tacos were excellent. I will eat there for breakfast again.

We had dinner tonight 12 October 2023 at Millie's and the food was cold and the waitress(with green earrings, glasses, hair up and green tennis shoes) was rude and disrespectful. When we returned our plates because our food was cold, she didn't want to hear that the food was cold and came up with excuses of why the food wasn't cold, but it was. She claimed that they have a fan that they use to not have flies flying around the food and that is why the food was cold. She also said that because the lettuce and tomatoes for the crispy tacos was on the meat and that's why the tacos were cold. My husbands enchiladas, rice and beans and my moms tacos, rice and beans and my steak and rice beans were all cold. My mom was explaining to her how the food was cold and she laughed and walked away leaving my mom talking and she was complaining as she walked away. Very rude waitress and disrespectful. We are never eating there again. I will let people know about this waitress and not to get her or not to eat there. She did not offer a new plate- neither did she come back and ask how we were doing, if our food was ok, didn't ask, if we wanted refills-we as customers had to ask. Ordered fish and shrimp which was black/brown burn color. Staff claim that they are a Mexican Restaurant that's why they can't cook Sea Food properly. My suggestion is take Sea Food off the menu if you don't know how to cook it. read more

Service was okay and friendly at first. The food came out and was not even close. Ordered a club sandwich and ended up with 3 slices of bread with ham on it. What happened to all the other meats, cheese and other things that were missing. Then we never saw the waitress again, not one follow up, and the bill was delivered with the meal. read more

Food is always good. Mexican plate, crispy tacos, burrito plate, pretty much all of it is very good. I love the crispy chicken salad, too.

I am on EMS deployment at the prison here in Dilley. Except for a handful of fast food options at truck stops and convenience stores, all of the other restaurants in town are Mexican food. Millie's isn't the best food I have ever had, but it is probably the best you will find in Dilley. I have had crispy tacos, enchiladas, and a cheeseburger here. All were good. I want to start off by saying that I normally do not leave negative reviews when I have a bad experience at a restaurant, especially if the necessary measures were taken to make things right. My family and I are from out of town and stopped in for dinner. Besides the food not being great, one of our meals had two hairs in it and the queso we ordered had a toothpick. When we told the waitress she took our food and said she was going to talk to her manager. Nothing else was said, they brought the ticket and didn't even offer to remake the meal with the hairs. Mind you, our ticket was well over $100. Very poor customer service. I honestly have no idea how this place has more than a 3 star rating. read more

Quick and friendly service. The food lacked flavor but at least it was hot. I ordered the Gordita plate -too greasy, the beef fajita meat was not seasoned, seemed to have been boiled; rice was over cooked. Hubby had the enchilada plate and he didn't even eat all his food, which he is not a picky eater at all but everything on his plate lacked flavor, squishy rice, enchilada sauce was indeed different to taste (not authentic sauce, nor was it can sauce).
