Fairways

Played for 5 hours and made it to hole 14 before we called it quits. The backup was unreal, 3 groups waiting to tee off on every hole. If they just hired a marshal half of the problems would disappear. A better use of my 45 dollars would have been wiping my ass and flushing it down the toilet. I can't believe they charge what they charge here. Think of the person in this world you hate the most, yeah I wouldn't even recommend it to them. Attached are photos of the fairway conditions too. quite frankly unbelievable.

Never coming back here, they charge $50 to ride and the pace of play is horrible. Took 6 hours to finish 18 and you're better off being in the bunker than being in the fairway.

I love that this golf course is right near the house and that if you are a resident in the Chula Vista area you get a discount. The only issue I have with the course is that the maintenance of the course has always been a little unpreserved. It still has its positivities but lacks in keeping up with the courses over all beauty. Parking is easy and has a vast amount of it. There is also a track that wraps all around the course, so you will see several people walking, jogging, and running (especially people horseback riding). The price is good and there is a driving range so you can practice on your swing before you head out to the course, and also there's a putting green so that you can get a feel of the courses greens. You can rent golf carts, bag carts (for walking), and also clubs. There is a small pro shop to buy accessories and apparel, and the employees are nice and are always willing to help. Other than that it's a good place to get away from home and play a round of golf.

Mimosas for Easter brunch!

It looks like it's getting better. I hope they invest more time and effort. We really need a better course around here.

They do sell snacks and they also sell any golf supplies that you need in the shack. The staff is super customer service oriented and they're very very kind. We had to use the bays in the sun for about an hour until some bays in the shade came up it would be nice if they could extend the shade over the four or five base that don't have it at the end. The issue that I had while I was there was that there are 1 million red ants that crawl on you and bite in the areas where there is no shade. Please be mindful if you're bringing your children because they will crawl on your children and bite them. Also be mindful if you have food and snacks because the Answer attracted to that as well. It was a nice time to spend with my husband while we hit golf balls at this driving range. We are planning to possibly become members just so that we can have a good time overall there's no fluff in this experience at the driving range base, but if you want to go to the other side where it's all outdoor without bases that's nice too.

Highly recommend it to golfers of all skill levels!

The green fees are $85, but my friend informed me he paid a $25 advance hold fee per person, so make that $110. I doubt one would be able to simply walk on to this course. We booked a few weeks in advance and only had two tee time options. We had an 11:30 start time, but didn't tee off until 11:50 due to a tournament, which was backed up. That said, I was both surprised and annoyed to see they allowed the foursome ahead of us to walk versus take carts. We were held up all day and didn't finish until just before 5 PM (sunset was at 4:45). My only other caution is there are at least two holes which run along heavily trafficked streets, where a lot of construction was also underway. If you're easily distracted by noise, this is probably not the course for you. We saw the cart girl on two occasions. Cold beverages and cold food, only. If you want hot food, you'll have to order before you start, after you finish, or between the 9th and 10th holes. I do not recall seeing any bathrooms on the back 9, so be sure to moderate your drinking or else roll the dice if you can't hold it.

There are some gopher holes in the rough but none on the fairways. I also play the Navy courses weekly and the rate for retired DOD is comparable with Enagic. This course is a great value for the cost. I would rather play Enagic than Torrey Pines.

Patchy fairways and sand traps that are practically mud. I have no idea what happened along how the course has seemed to go backwards. Inwas recently there and just saw that they require you to purchase a residence card for $40 so you can get the residence fee? I can just show you that I live in this area via other documents. Seems like a money grab which is in poor taste. A bucket of balls for the range has gotten expensive as well! Not sure if I recommend this course or not. If youre paying $150 to play the course then its absolutely not worth it. For that price you should go to higher end courses. If you catch twilight hours its a reasonable price. I certainly wont be golfing here as much as I used to for a price tag that high. Hope they change some things. Staff have always been really nice here however so thats a nice plus.
