Very friendly greeting from warm staff . Employees were bilingual (Spanish/english) and it was nice to see the Mexican and Puerto Rican flags on display. It was crowded visited on a Sunday afternoon, and there was standing room only due to many families visiting . Lots of choices here, from chocolatey sweets to fruity, to cheesecake to sweet mini pancakes . It was a yummy treat that I recommend trying, and it's pretty close to Costco so can be a nice beverage to enjoy while shopping

Great service. Tried the cheesecake frappe - not the strongest cheesecake flavor but really tasty anyway. Will definitely come back and try more flavors.

So far so good. Today seeing that it's brisk out I went with a hot matcha and it has me all warmed up. Can't wait for a nice warm Carolina day to come and try one of the frozen treats!

If you are craving something sweet Chugar Frappe has tons of options for you. The Owners combine their Puerto Rican and Mexican backgrounds to create delicious desserts. You are guaranteed to come back wanting to try the plentiful options on their menu. At first when I hear frappe I thought this would be a coffee shop while they do have coffee this is a more of a dessert shop as frappe just means blended with ice. The Owners are so nice and show excitement and enthusiasm for every customer that walks in. It is a small shop with some seating that is nicely decorated. We went around a few weeks before Christmas so there were Christmas decorations as well some seasonal desserts. My favorite had to be the cheesecake. I am a huge fan of cheesecake and there's is really good. They have quite a few different cheesecake bowls on their menu to order. All in all this is the perfect place for those with a sweet tooth or if you are just looking for a sweet treat.

I was craving something sweet and decided a frappe was the way to go. I came across this gem on my search, and im glad I did. This is a fairly new place, and they consist of different flavored frappe's, including some Spanish delicacy ones. The employees were super nice and gave great recommendations since this was our first time going. They took their time out to describe every drink on their menu. This location is super clean and modernly decorated. The vibe was awesome, and we felt very welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. The frappes are more on the expensive side but definitely worth it. They are big sizes with a very generous amount of fruits and whatever else your frappe may come with. One of the ladies was nice enough to give us a free "doblon," which is a Puerto Rican chocolate covered cookie since we inquired about it. Definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for something sweet. We will be returning to try a couple of different things on their menu.

This place was good! It had a bright, cheery atmosphere, friendly staff, and tons of great sounding options. I enjoyed talking with the lady at the counter was patient and pleasant as we tried to make a decision on what to get. I'm so happy that we found this little gem. I haven't had a good frappe like this since my trip to Puerto Rico

Mini Pancakes with Strawberries and Bananas

Fresh strawberries and cream. I also had the mini pancakes with strawberries and bananas. Definitely recommend, must try!!

    Strawberry mango frappe

Delicious and great customer service! Me and my friend had a lovely experience. You get a good amount of dessert for the price and it is absolutely worth it. :)

Hubby got the fried fish and liked it. I got their fish and shrimp peanut soup. Omg it was divine !!! That soup had amazing flavor !!! There was plenty of tuna and a few shrimp. The tuna seemed to sink to the bottom and was a bit dry. Next time I think I would get just shrimp, but the broth was delicious and unusual. We got one savory and one sweet cheese empanada. I highly recommend the savory one with it's melted goodness. I got the flan for dessert. It was good. But my favorite was the morocho that I took home to enjoy. It is a hot liquid beverage that reminds me of rice pudding. It was so yummy !!! We loved this place so much we came back again the next week on a Saturday. This time we tried the beef empanada. Hubby got the pork chops and I got the carne asada. Both came with rice, lentils, and small salad. The lentils were a little watery, but had decent flavor. I put them over the rice and that helped. They have a small jar of homemade salsa that was so good, I slathered it all over every bite of my carne asada. My plate came with tostones that were good and hubby's plate came with maduros. For dessert, I got the morocho to consume at the restaurant. Our waitresses were very nice both nights and spoke English. The owner checks on tables during the meal, which is admirable. My husband and I were the only non-latino people there, which is always a good sign the food is delicious. The first time we were there, the place was decorated for Valentine's Day. The second time, it was decorated for Easter. Highly recommend this place !

And the food arrived super fast fresh and hot and most of all delicious!!!! The empanada was cheesy and I don't recall the name of it but in the table is a type of chutney slightly sweet spicey and full of flavor! Hubby has what was a fish stew and gobbled it up! I had the steak (skirt) with lentils very flavorful tostones and salad. We will definitely return! The place is clean sorta spacious and we learned you seat yourself.

After one meal here, we understood why. Calle Sol has a cool laid back vibe, great service, strong mojitos, and food that absolutely delivers. The ceviche is the star for a reason. Super fresh with bright flavor, and the crispy plantains alongside it were the perfect seafood fish combo. The skinny spicy margarita with the tajín rim and mojitos were excellent too. Our favorite was the Cuban rice. Rich flavor with this aioli on top that made everyone at the table keep stealing bites from each other. The vaca frita (beef) had great flavor with crispy edges done right, and the banana tres leches dessert was flat out dangerous. Easily enough for three people unless your family has zero self control. We don't really have Cuban food like this back home, so this felt like a treat. Safe to say our daughter picked a winner. We'll definitely be back next trip to Charlotte.

Pisco sour: definitely taste the alcohol. I enjoyed it. A little sweet. Not really sour or I couldn't taste it. Chichamora: spiced drink. Light tangy fruity flavor. Like a light punch. Fried yucca and cheesy: 4 stars. Yummy yucca balls filled with cheeses you have to eat hot for the gooey cheesiness but be careful because the are hot. Make sure to eat with the dip for next level flavor. Shrimp ceviche: 3.5 stars. Different toppings provided different flavors (I.e. crunchy corn, sweet potatoes, salty plaintains chips, & soft corn kernels) texture but I wished there was more shrimp and a slight more acidity or lime juice. Also some of the fried corn kernels were burnt so it had bitter taste. Vaca Frita:Garlic/onion shredded braised beef. 4.5 stars. Came with beans, rice, and yucca mash. Overall the flavors were good and I really enjoyed it.
